The Comic Bang Episode 33 (Ending) Recap
> The Comic Bang Recap
The comic exhibition was about to begin, and everyone was setting up. But Ye Qi and Zuo Qiandai were nowhere to be seen. After the setup was done, the others began wandering around. Zhou Jieyue dragged Jiang Ruosong along through the stalls. That left only Lu Dao, Gu Zhengxing, and Gong Jian at the booth. Some fans mistook Lu Dao for the author. Gu Zhengxing had to explain that the real author would arrive in thirty minutes.
Many fans, mostly girls, were already gathered around the booth waiting to meet the author. To avoid disappointing them, Ye Qi and Zuo Qiandai staged a little trick. They used an oversized coat to cover themselves, with Ye Qi hidden inside and Zuo Qiandai visible on top. When signing autographs, they used Ye Qi’s hand, so it wasn’t entirely deceiving the fans. Qian Ye also showed up at the exhibition, but his booth had no visitors. He was furious.
When he saw the huge crowd at Ye Qi’s booth, he tried to expose the ruse between Ye Qi and Zuo Qiandai. He thought revealing that Ye Qi was the real author would make the female fans leave in disappointment, ruining Ye Qi’s reputation. However, Ye Qi skillfully turned the situation around. He explained that the comic was not just his work—it was the result of everyone’s effort, including Zuo Qiandai. His sincerity moved the fans.
Zuo Qiandai’s presence even made them feel the mysterious author was more relatable. On the contrary, Qian Ye was met with backlash. Many attendees called for Qian Ye to be banned from the comic community. That night, under the spotlight and surrounded by fans, Ye Qi gave a speech to express his gratitude. When Zuo Qiandai heard it, she thought he was about to confess to her, especially as he talked about all the experiences they had shared.
Her heart beat fast in anticipation of the romantic moment. But in the end, Ye Qi confessed—not to her, but to Gong Jian, thanking him for his long-time support in such an important moment. Though disappointed, Zuo Qiandai was happy for Ye Qi’s success and knew everything had to move forward. Back at school, she entered a classroom to find it covered with drawings that depicted all her shared experiences with Ye Qi—from sweet, romantic moments to comical mishaps.
Seeing all those memories together made her feel their story was truly beautiful. When she saw the final panel—set on the Ferris wheel with the line she had long waited for—tears of happiness welled up in her eyes. Ye Qi slowly entered the classroom and finally confessed his feelings. Zuo Qiandai confessed as well. The two who had loved each other for so long could now be honest and open, no longer afraid of rejection or misunderstanding.
Flashback to two years ago—Zuo Qiandai had taken the wrong bus and arrived late at school to find the gates already locked. She had to climb the wall and happened to see Ye Qi there too. Both had been late on the first day of school—that was their first encounter. From that moment, Zuo Qiandai had fallen for Ye Qi and thought of him as a delinquent who never arrived on time. Their fates had been entwined ever since.
