Following his successful livestream, Zheng Baixu's future at Star Entertainment remains uncertain. Liu Yinan unexpectedly transfers Yang Zhenzhen back to the Publicity Department, confirming her fears that the company is abandoning Baixu. When she argues his case, Liu Yinan dismisses her concerns, stating it is a management decision and that Baixu brought the situation upon himself. Frustrated, Zhenzhen vents to her roommate, Xia Yuan.
She is also agitated by Yu Zirui's lack of response after Zheng Baixu jealously sent a rude text from her phone. After discovering the message, Xia Yuan theorizes that Baixu has feelings for Zhenzhen. Zhenzhen scoffs at the idea, calling him a sadist who enjoys her misery. Xia Yuan insists his actions stem from jealousy and warns that trying to explain will only complicate things with Zirui.
Zhenzhen later confirms to Xia Yuan her transfer, finding it baffling that she feels unhappy despite being freed from her difficult assistant role. Unable to reach Zhenzhen, an impatient Zheng Baixu finds her apartment. While a starstruck Xia Yuan snaps photos with him, Zhenzhen tries to make him leave. Unfazed, Baixu demands she restock his fridge. Their argument is interrupted by the landlord, who demands 15,500 yuan in overdue rent and threatens eviction. Without hesitation, Baixu pays the full amount.
A grateful Xia Yuan hails him as "passionate, sunshine, and warm," and adds him on WeChat. The next day, Zhenzhen goes to Baixu's apartment to repay him, but he refuses the money, insisting she use it for his groceries and to hire a housekeeper. Zhenzhen quickly finds one online and formally informs him that she has been transferred. Baixu dismisses this, asserting he will protect her job.
She remains resolute about returning the money, and during their struggle, the cash falls into the pool. Zhenzhen rushes to retrieve it but slips and falls in. Unable to swim, she panics in the waist-deep water. Baixu pulls her out and performs CPR. Upon waking, a furious Zhenzhen declares she is glad to no longer be his assistant and storms off.
Back home, Zhenzhen’s spirits lift when she receives a comforting text from Yu Zirui, who says Xia Yuan has explained everything. She resolves to start fresh. Meanwhile, at the company, VP Du Wanqing clashes with Ma Lina over a spot in an elite agent training program, rejecting Ma Lina’s attempt to use it as a favor and revealing she has chosen Zhenzhen.
Director Yu Hong summons Zhenzhen and encourages her to become an agent, sharing an inspiring story from her own past on the red carpet. Motivated, Zhenzhen eagerly accepts the chance to pursue a new career supporting artists.
