Following his escape from the press conference, Zheng Baixu is finally tracked down by Yang Zhenzhen at a racetrack. To avoid returning to the company, he drags her to a nightclub, insisting on a drinking contest. As they bicker, their loud conversation attracts the attention of Xu Zhan, Zheng Baixu's high school classmate. Xu Zhan is accompanying Yan Kexin, the daughter of America's Hong Ding Corporation's owner, on a project inspection.
Yan Kexin is a huge fan of Zheng Baixu, having seen him perform in Los Angeles, and she excitedly asks for a photo, but he coldly refuses. When Xu Zhan mistakes Zhenzhen for Baixu's girlfriend, they both quickly clarify that she is merely his personal assistant. After Xu Zhan and Yan Kexin depart, Zheng Baixu continues to pressure Zhenzhen to drink. To get him to return to the company, Zhenzhen downs a glass of strong liquor.
Unfazed, Baixu suggests they use larger cups to stall for time. Zhenzhen immediately calls a waiter for the biggest glasses available. When two massive beer mugs arrive, she fills them both with liquor and finishes hers in one go. Zheng Baixu, whose alcohol tolerance is poor, passes out after drinking his. Yang Zhenzhen struggles to get the unconscious Zheng Baixu to a hotel room. Worried he might run off during the night, she ties his foot to the bed.
The next morning, however, Zheng Baixu seizes the opportunity to escape when a hotel employee delivers breakfast, leaving Zhenzhen bewildered once again. He retreats to his old family home, where he is haunted by childhood memories of a fire and the loss of his mother, seeking solace in drawing. A frustrated Yang Zhenzhen returns to Star Entertainment with a splitting headache.
Her dismay deepens as she overhears other artists gossiping about Zheng Baixu, calling him arrogant and speculating that his career is over. Seeking the truth, Zhenzhen speaks with President Chen Tianhao, who reassures her that the company invested heavily in Zheng Baixu and will not abandon him. He praises Zhenzhen's resilience and encourages her to continue supporting Baixu, advising her to stay calm and ignore rumors.
Their meeting is interrupted by the arrival of Zheng Baixu's fan representatives, and Zhenzhen volunteers to handle the situation. Fans from all over the country, calling themselves the "Rising Suns," have gathered in the lobby to demand the resignation of his manager, Sun Yuqi, whom they blame for his tarnished image. Yu Hong, the director of artist management, tries to reason with them, but the fans are adamant and demand to see Zheng Baixu.
Cornered, Zhenzhen impulsively promises them that Zheng Baixu will hold a live broadcast within three days. Yu Hong is dismayed by the rash promise, as no one even knows where Baixu is. Meanwhile, Ma Lina presents Chen Tianhao with a financial report showing a sharp drop in revenue due to the scandal. She again urges him to sell off Zheng Baixu, but their conversation is cut short when Chen suddenly feels ill and begins dry-heaving.
He dismisses her concern and refuses to go to the hospital. Yang Zhenzhen repeatedly sends voice messages to Zheng Baixu, pleading with him to meet and discuss the live broadcast. As he continues to ignore her, her desperation grows. Her pay has been docked due to his absence, leaving her unable to make rent. She and her roommate, Xia Yuan, are forced to hide from their landlady.
Xia Yuan suggests that Zhenzhen quit, but Zhenzhen, despite her frustrations, is determined to succeed, viewing the difficult artist as a "sharpening tool" that will prepare her for a future in management. She confides in Xia Yuan about the immense pressure she is under, having promised the fans a live broadcast. Xia Yuan warns that if more trouble arose, the company would likely make Zhenzhen the scapegoat.
Back at the old family home, a delivery man arrives with a package addressed to a "Mr. Batman." Remaining hidden inside, Zheng Baixu instructs the man to leave the package, confirming he is still holed up in his sanctuary.
