Song of the Moon Episode 6 Recap
> Song of the Moon Recap
Concerned about his deepening feelings for Liu Shao intensifying the Soul-Devouring Spell, Lu Li arranged for He Na to stay with her at Pearl Pavilion. Lu Li's jealousy flared when He Na expressed his eagerness to return to Liu Shao's side, as he considered himself her protector.
The Soul-Devouring Spell, a curse to suppress his emotions, caused agonizing pain and blood vessel expansion whenever he felt affection for Liu Shao, a condition that would be fatal if the curse marks reached his palm. Realizing he couldn't protect Liu Shao while battling the curse, Lu Li instructed a confused Wang Jian to ensure Liu Shao and He Na met frequently, effectively keeping her away from him.
Meanwhile, Ao Hen, seeking an alliance, informed Bai Feng about an Aquatic Demon hiding in the mansion and revealed its weakness: a vulnerability without water. Later, Bai Feng found a sound-leaving stone Lu Li had intended for Liu Shao. Mistakenly believing it was for her, she confronted Lu Li. He clarified it was for Liu Shao, prompting a tense conversation. Bai Feng confessed her feelings, reminded him of their spiritual incompatibility with Liu Shao, and warned of their Master's disapproval.
She also echoed Ao Hen's sentiment that Lu Li was too weak to achieve his desires. Sensing Lu Li’s deliberate distance, Liu Shao devised a plan. She tricked Wang Jian into reporting that He Na had given her a special datura tea, which would make her fall in love with the first person she saw upon removing a blindfold. Alarmed by the fabricated story, Lu Li, despite the curse flaring up, rushed to Pearl Pavilion.
Liu Shao revealed it was a ruse to make him stop avoiding her. To hide the truth about the curse, Lu Li lied, claiming he was secretly investigating He Na, whom he had identified as the Demon King in White who stole her King Herb. He explained his aloofness was a tactic to investigate and retrieve the herb. Believing him, Liu Shao decided to question He Na herself.
As soon as she left, Lu Li collapsed, overwhelmed by the spell’s torment. At Pearl Pavilion, He Na admitted to Liu Shao that he was the Demon King of the Aquatic Demons and had taken the King Herb to save his people, confirming it was already used. He then requested a drop of her blood to verify if she was the fabled successor to the Water Spirit Fairy.
Trusting him, Liu Shao immediately complied, but her blood proved she was not the one he sought. As he prepared to leave, Bai Feng and Du Mingchong, armed with Ao Hen's intelligence, stormed the building with disciples. They destroyed all water sources and set up an Elixir Sand Formation to trap him. Liu Shao stood protectively in front of He Na, but Du Mingchong threatened to kill her if she didn't surrender the demon. Weakened, He Na revealed himself.
As Du Mingchong moved to attack, Lu Li intervened, disguised as the reclusive Lord Wuxiang, Luo Ge of Xiyin Mountain. Dismissing their skepticism, Lu Li declared that both Liu Shao and He Na were under Xiyin Mountain's protection and used a powder to create a distraction, swiftly escaping with He Na. After ensuring He Na's safe return to his clan, Lu Li joked about his disguise being used for "helping others."
Recognizing the Soul-Devouring Spell, He Na temporarily suppressed it for Lu Li. He warned that the curse's backlash would intensify and accelerate his death if he was severely injured, his love deepened, or the caster triggered it. Lu Li vowed to find a permanent cure for Liu Shao's sake. News of Lord Wuxiang’s appearance prompted Marquis Wuyang to summon Immortal Master Wanwu, the Chief of Palace Wuji, to verify the incident.
To Liu Shao's anxious surprise, Wanwu confirmed the figure was Luo Ge, stating he "couldn't be counted as a fake." This endorsement instantly elevated Liu Shao's status. When questioned by other disciples, Liu Shao playfully described the immortal as stingy and fond of money, forcing Lu Li to feign a sprained ankle to quiet her. Later, she teased him, wondering why Wanwu had covered for him.
Meanwhile, Xie Lingqi questioned Wanwu about Luo Ge's sudden return from twenty years of seclusion. Wanwu cryptically explained that Luo Ge, the only immortal in a millennium with the potential to become a deity, had appeared in the human realm as fated, all for "one person," on whom the future of the Three Realms would depend.
Realizing Marquis Wuyang's weakened state and the missing King Herb posed a threat to the Human Realm, Lu Li concluded Liu Shao could no longer stay safely in the mansion. His thoughts were interrupted by his master, Lu Sheng, who furiously admonished him for his feelings for Liu Shao, calling her a "demon." Lu Sheng then deliberately activated the Soul-Devouring Spell, inflicting immense pain and warning that He Na's suppression was useless against his power.
Witnessing Lu Li’s agony, Bai Feng approached him and confessed her long-held feelings, recalling a childhood memory where he gave her malt candy and promised to protect her. Lu Li gently rejected her, explaining he had only ever seen her as a cherished sister. Unfazed, Bai Feng declared she would never give up on him.
