Neighbors rush toward an old garage with buckets of water. Lao Jiao leads the way, anxious. But when they arrive, they see a woman calmly cleaning up the water with a broom. She turns her head—it’s the same woman who planted the bomb in the pressure cooker. She thanks everyone for their help while remaining expressionless. Once back in the garage, her eyes are empty. After Xiao Heyun drags Li Shiqing away, the bus explodes again.

Surveillance cameras by the station record their actions, including Lao Jiao peeking out and becoming a person of interest. The police track their escape route and realize they’re headed toward Gangwu Xincun, a surveillance blind spot. Director Du orders Zhang Cheng to lead a team—one to arrest Xiao and Li, the other to investigate Lao Jiao. Jiang Feng and his colleague arrive at the garage where Lao Jiao once lived.

Only then does the landlord realize Lao Jiao is in trouble. While the police investigate, Xiao Heyun and Li Shiqing use the complex terrain of Gangwu Xincun to hide in an upper residential area. At a hidden spot, Xiao Heyun suddenly vomits by a water basin. He washes off the blood as the horrific bus scene replays in his mind. Seeing Xiao Heyun pale and dazed, Li Shiqing knows empty reassurances won’t help.

Xiao Heyun never thought he would become a killer, and the fear of killing is something he will never forget no matter how many times they loop. But both know the top priority is avoiding the police. Li Shiqing gives a brief pep talk and pulls him to continue fleeing.

From the landlord, Jiang Feng learns that Lao Jiao once heroically helped put out a fire to earn a commendation bonus—it was that woman who caused the fire while messing around in the garage. Local officials also say residents heard an explosion before the fire. Jiang Feng finds out the woman’s name: Tao Yinghong. Jiang Feng reports the situation and arranges a police sweep of Tao Yinghong’s garage. Zhang Cheng continues to pursue Li and Xiao.

Xiao Heyun, not wanting to implicate Li Shiqing, runs off alone. But she refuses to abandon her only partner. They escape Gangwu Xincun on a small truck loaded with sculptures. The police track Xiao Heyun’s phone, and Zhang Cheng quickly closes in. Xiao Heyun throws the phone off the truck to avoid tracking. Still overwhelmed by emotions, he urges Li Shiqing to leave him. In response, she throws away her phone too, saying she’ll go wherever he goes.

When the truck reaches its destination, they discover it’s Lu Di’s secret hideout. Using the password Lu Di gave them in the previous loop, they enter and finally have a temporary safe place. Xiao Heyun washes off the blood and discovers a wound on his arm. Li Shiqing puts on an anime costume and goes to a nearby pharmacy to buy medicine and melatonin. On TV, news reports say both she and Xiao Heyun are now wanted fugitives.

Xiao Heyun also sees the bombing report on his tablet. As Li Shiqing enters, she realizes even this hideout is no longer safe. Through surveillance footage, Director Du deduces they hid in the small truck. The driver also recalls seeing Xiao Heyun’s bloodstained backpack in the truck bed. Zhang Cheng, guided by the driver and sanitation workers, storms Lu Di’s apartment with officers—only to find no one inside or on the balcony.

At that moment, Li Shiqing is on the balcony of a neighboring building, tending to Xiao Heyun’s wounds. Watching online videos labeling him a bomber and overanalyzing violent elements in his game, Xiao Heyun is full of mixed emotions. Li Shiqing tells him to ignore people’s self-righteous judgments. Holding melatonin, Xiao Heyun suddenly stands up and tells her to stay in standby mode and wait for him.
