The police quickly located Xiao Heyun by tracing the call. Realizing he couldn’t escape, Xiao Heyun turned off his phone and rushed to a nearby pharmacy, trying to buy sleeping pills. Carrying a bottle of baijiu bought from a supermarket, Xiao Heyun took the pills and passed out drunk in an alley. On the third attempt, Xiao Heyun finally realized they could stop the masked man from boarding the bus. The two coordinated to block him, and when they opened his bag, a thin stray cat jumped out. It turned out the masked man was an animal rescuer. He had been so nervous because pets weren’t allowed on buses. Xiao Heyun and Li Shiqing helped return the cat. As the explosion happened in the distance, they walked away calmly.

The masked man was surprised by their reaction. After seeing the bus explosion news at a pet store, he began to sense that something was off. Li Shiqing thought that since they had stopped the masked man, he might now also be part of the loop, giving them another ally. But Xiao Heyun unexpectedly opposed the idea and made up a bunch of excuses.

While watching Happy Bro’s short videos, the masked man suddenly appeared and stopped them, asking if they knew the truth about the explosion.

Xiao Heyun wanted to make an excuse and leave, but when the masked man threatened to call the police, Li Shiqing reluctantly said it was hard to explain. The masked man seemed to understand and invited them to go elsewhere for a more detailed conversation.
