In the police station, the families of the victims who died on the bus sat in the lounge, weeping uncontrollably. Lu Di's father suddenly rushed out, saying his son was not dead. When Zhang Cheng came over, Lu Di's father explained that his son’s electronic device had always been linked to his phone, and he saw the tablet continue to move after leaving the comic city. This raised Zhang Cheng's suspicion. Xiao Heyun took Li Shiqing to his friend's house.

He admitted that his previous idea of using violence to fight violence was wrong and told his friend to remove him from the game design project to avoid implicating the studio. His friend trusted Xiao Heyun and advised him to turn himself in to the police and resolve his issues—they were still friends. Zhang Cheng traced Lu Di’s tablet to the friend's house but found no sign of Xiao Heyun.

Xiao Heyun and Li Shiqing sat by the seaside—his last moments of freedom before turning himself in. Li Shiqing walked into the sea, trying to clear her head. Xiao Heyun went after her and pulled her back. The movement tugged at his wound, which deeply worried Li Shiqing. The two lonely souls embraced on the cold surface of the sea, comforting each other. Xiao Heyun carried the sleeping Li Shiqing into the surveillance area and turned himself in.

They both reentered standby mode. Wearing handcuffs and shackles, Xiao Heyun heard Li Shiqing calling to him and finally woke up on the bus. He gripped her hand tightly and calmed down. This time, they decided to evacuate the passengers. Disguised as police officers, they acted separately and persuaded the passengers to disembark one by one.

Using the excuse of a college startup event, they convinced the passengers to get off at the next stop, showing them a message on their phones warning that the woman had a knife and was carrying a bomb. The passengers believed them. But when they tried to inform the driver, Wang Xingde, he seemed indifferent. As the bus reached Yanjiang East Road Station, Li Shiqing pushed Lu Di—who was about to get on the bus—off.

As she watched passengers about to get off, Tao Yinghong realized something was wrong and detonated the bomb instantly. They returned to the bus again. This time, they decided to persuade Lao Jiao, who had helped in a previous loop, to assist Xiao Heyun in restraining Tao Yinghong. They would also ask Wang Xingde to stop the bus on the bridge and throw the bomb into the river. But Li Shiqing couldn't do both tasks alone—they needed another person’s help.

Lao Jiao, thinking that acting heroically could win him a reward to support his daughter's education, immediately agreed. When Lu Di boarded the bus, Xiao Heyun called out a long string of his nicknames, asking for help as a police officer. Though Lu Di didn’t believe Xiao Heyun was a cop, he was shocked that Xiao Heyun knew his name and secret, so he agreed to cooperate.

Li Shiqing approached Wang Xingde and informed him that Tao Yinghong had boarded the bus with a bomb. As the bus reached the bridge, Xiao Heyun and Lao Jiao moved in to restrain Tao Yinghong, while Lu Di took away the pressure cooker bomb. Li Shiqing seized the knife and threw it on the ground, explaining to the passengers that the police were handling a case. However, the bus didn’t stop on the bridge.

As the fight broke out behind him, Wang Xingde calmly glanced at his watch. Tao Yinghong, lying on the ground, shouted maniacally, cursing the passengers as executioners and calling Wang Xingde a coward. Wang Xingde finally stopped the bus and pulled the handbrake to lock the doors. Realizing time was running out, Xiao Heyun smashed the window and jumped out. Just as the old phone rang, he grabbed the pressure cooker—but it was too late.

After regaining consciousness, Li Shiqing recalled that she had once lost her wallet on the bus, and Wang Xingde had stopped the bus to help her retrieve it. He had refused her gratitude and even chatted about his daughter studying at Jiashi University. But when asked about her major and year, he coldly said she had already graduated and was working.

Li Shiqing ran up to him emotionally, and Wang Xingde quietly asked if she wanted to get off the bus. Her loud questioning naturally drew Tao Yinghong’s attention, and the bomb exploded again. The loop restarted. As Tao Yinghong boarded the bus carrying the bomb, Wang Xingde’s face showed a conflicted and hesitant expression. Tao Yinghong stared at him coldly and walked onto the bus without emotion.
