Qingqing reached out to take a look at the "Dating Contract," but Pei Youyou entered the room. At the dinner table, Qingqing complained about the simplicity of the meal Pei Youyou had prepared. Just then, Yi Han returned home, bringing a chef and an array of gourmet food with him. Throughout the meal, Yi Han openly displayed his affection for Pei Youyou, much to Qingqing's annoyance.
Later, during a game, Yi Han secretly arranged for the other players to let Pei Youyou win. Pei Youyou, who was not skilled at the game, ended up winning several rounds, which brought a smile to Yi Han's face. Pei Youyou, realizing Yi Han had manipulated the game, confronted him, asking if he was trying to win her over. Yi Han didn't answer directly but pressed her against a wall, causing her heart to race.
He then simply told her to clean up the messy living room before retreating to his room. Yi Han pondered his actions, realizing he wanted to see Pei Youyou smile and that her happiness brought him joy. He questioned if he was falling for her, concluding that a woman must be the reason behind a man's swift personal growth, and that woman must be Pei Youyou.
Meanwhile, Qingqing called Gao Lang to inform him of her location at Yi Han's house. At the hospital, Gao Lang received grim news from the doctor regarding his sister's critical condition. The doctor advised him to let go, as his sister was suffering immensely, and urged him to prepare for the inevitable. Witnessing his sister's fragile state, Gao Lang's hatred for Yi Han intensified, and he vowed to make those responsible suffer.
Later, as Pei Youyou stepped out to dispose of garbage, Qingqing seized the opportunity to secretly photograph the apartment door's access code. Qingqing and Gao Lang, motivated by their desire to expose Yi Han, intended to use the dating contract to publicly reveal Yi Han and Pei Youyou's relationship. Their goal was to discredit Yi Han, accusing him of public deception and moral corruption.
Unbeknownst to Yi Han and Pei Youyou, they were already being targeted by hidden adversaries, setting the stage for an impending storm. At the hotel, Ran Zishu observed Lu Ming assisting a young woman into an elevator. Filled with suspicion, she followed them into the room and quickly realized the girl was feigning dizziness to get closer to Lu Ming. Ran Zishu immediately exposed the girl's ploy and declared herself Lu Ming's girlfriend.
The girl, revealed to be Director Liang's younger sister, left in embarrassment, apologizing to Ran Zishu. Ran Zishu then demanded that Lu Ming refrain from physical contact with other women, a notion Lu Ming found unusual given his upbringing abroad. Ran Zishu passionately reminded him that they had spent a night together and he was obligated to take responsibility. Overwhelmed by her persistence and the odd looks from the film crew, Lu Ming called Pei Youyou for advice.
Before Pei Youyou could arrive, Ran Zishu, with a dramatic display of tears and cultural pressure, successfully manipulated a sympathetic Lu Ming into agreeing to be her boyfriend. Pei Youyou arrived at the set after Lu Ming called her, and he quickly informed her that Ran Zishu was now his girlfriend, much to Pei Youyou's frustration, as she believed him to be too easily fooled.
She then greeted Brother Tian'nuo, who mentioned having a birthday gift for her and showed her a humorous scene from filming, leading to a pleasant conversation. Observing their cheerful interaction, Yi Han became visibly jealous. He later asked Haozi to buy some candy, explaining he needed to prepare for an upcoming kiss scene, an unusual request since Yi Han typically dislikes sweets.
Ran Zishu approached Yi Han to suggest using forced perspective for their kiss scene, citing her new relationship with Lu Ming and its "sweetness" as the reason. Yi Han, who initially intended to make Pei Youyou jealous with the kiss but found himself unable to go through with it, agreed as long as the director approved. However, the director initially insisted on a genuine kiss.
Both Yi Han and Ran Zishu found themselves unable to proceed; Ran Zishu repeatedly pushed Yi Han away, conscious of Lu Ming watching, while Yi Han also hesitated. Pei Youyou and Lu Ming watched the scene unfold with palpable tension. Eventually, Brother Tian'nuo intervened to clear the set, and the kiss scene was ultimately filmed using forced perspective.
After filming concluded, Pei Youyou, who initially wanted to discuss Lu Ming and Ran Zishu with Ran Zishu, was inadvertently pulled into dinner by Ran Zishu and Yi Han, where Yi Han also invited Brother Tian'nuo. During the meal, Brother Tian'nuo impressed Pei Youyou with his extensive knowledge of cuisine, even clarifying that "Fish filet in hot chili oil" is essentially boiled fish finished with hot chili oil. He offered to cook for Pei Youyou if she ever desired.
Observing Pei Youyou's admiration for Brother Tian'nuo and her calling him 'Brother Tian'nuo', Yi Han's jealousy flared. Asserting his 'boss' status, Yi Han then asked her to debone his fish for him, remarking that he had no employees to order around at home, only a "lady boss with a bad temper."
Brother Tian'nuo then presented Pei Youyou with a vintage sketchbook by Master Qin Chuan as a birthday gift, which delighted her, recalling how she used to copy his artwork as a child. He recounted their childhood encounter, where he offered a crying Pei Youyou a White Rabbit milk candy and asked her to fold its wrapper into a star.
They played together daily until her parents' divorce led to them losing touch, and he expressed his profound happiness at their reunion. Yi Han's jealousy continued to grow as he listened to their shared memories.
Pei Youyou attempted to discuss Lu Ming and Ran Zishu with Ran Zishu, but Ran Zishu, with a dramatic performance, burst into tears and pleaded with Pei Youyou not to separate her from Lu Ming, portraying herself as a fragile girl who had finally found courage to pursue love. Brother Tian'nuo even praised Ran Zishu's acting skills. Touched by Ran Zishu's emotional appeal, Pei Youyou agreed to support her relationship with Lu Ming.
Later, while Yi Han and Pei Youyou were away from their apartment, Qingqing, using the stolen access code, snuck in and took the "Dating Contract." The following day, Yi Han, seeing White Rabbit milk candy, was reminded of Pei Youyou's childhood story with Brother Tian'nuo and tossed the candy into the trash. He then called Pei Youyou, asking her to bring him Omurice at the film set because the catering food was terrible.
Enticed by the offer of payment, Pei Youyou happily agreed. Upon arriving at the set, Pei Youyou accidentally tripped over an electrical wire, and a large lighting rig nearly fell on her.
