Nan Qiao successfully resolved a critical technical challenge for Future Up's new product. During a team discussion about the drone's failed experiments, Nan Qiao devised a breakthrough solution. She pinpointed the navigation system, not the flight control, as the issue, proposing that instead of solely relying on GPS, they integrate non-autonomous signals as the navigational system and add GPS positioning modules to the drone's four corners and base.

This way, if the drone crashes, the system would send a readjustment signal to the flight center, allowing for a stable landing and solving the accuracy problem. Afterward, Wen Di praised Nan Qiao, jokingly telling her that if she applied such intelligence and dedication to her love life, she wouldn't lack a boyfriend. Nan Qiao simply replied that the drone was her boyfriend. Satisfied with her work, Wen Di insisted Nan Qiao take a break.

Wen Di noted that Nan Qiao, with her fluid software, was Future Up's core competitive strength and needed to rest and "supplement on Vitamin C." She granted Nan Qiao a 48-hour vacation, promising to oversee the completion of the plans and hand the design drawing to the manufacturing company on Monday. The following morning, as Nan Qiao jogged in her residential complex, she was unexpectedly met by Shi Yue, who had recently moved into the same neighborhood.

Seeing Nan Qiao ahead, Shi Yue unleashed his three large dogs, telling them, "Go and say hello." Nan Qiao was startled by the charging dogs and screamed, "Whose dogs are these? Why didn't you grab hold of them well? ! Such huge dogs!" In the ensuing chaos, Nan Qiao inadvertently injured one of them. Shi Yue rushed the dog to a veterinary clinic, with Nan Qiao following.

At the clinic, Nan Qiao confronted Shi Yue, asking if he was stalking her. Shi Yue retorted, "When can you change this bad attitude of yours of having spikes within your words?" and then questioned why she was there. They realized they were both within their respective residential estates, confirming they were neighbors.

The vet initially gave a grim diagnosis of severe injury needing surgery, but then clarified that the bone wasn't affected and the dog only needed a few days' rest. Shi Yue then teased Nan Qiao about her "posterior head bone" and its association with a difficult love life, offering to do "in-depth research on veterinary medicine and fortune telling through touching of bones," with Nan Qiao as his practice subject.

He then said goodbye, suggesting she improve her relationship with his "thin little dogs" as they would see each other frequently. The vet, however, handed Nan Qiao the treatment bill, explaining it was her mistake. Nan Qiao reluctantly paid. Back at the office, Nan Qiao recounted the incident with Shi Yue's dogs to her colleagues, who were astonished to learn Shi Yue lived in the same complex.

They joked that Nan Qiao and Shi Yue were like a "haunting ghost that won't go away." Chang Jianxiong, upon hearing this, decided it was an opportunity to teach Shi Yue a lesson. He proposed a team-building activity for Future Up: a real-life Counter-Strike battle. He had already reserved a special forces-level venue and even purchased accidental insurance for everyone, promising a "commando level real-life CS battle."

Lao Qin, a colleague, remarked confidently that with "mythical beasts" like them around to suppress "monsters," Shi Yue "won't be able to get through us here in Future Up," even if he invested another ¥1 billion. Chang Jianxiong then asked Nan Qiao to invite Shi Yue, as Shi Yue had also helped Future Up as an investor. Nan Qiao went to Shi Yue's home, using a drone to deliver the invitation.

Shi Yue, however, intercepted the drone and took control of it. Nan Qiao had to go to his apartment to retrieve it. Shi Yue suggested they were "old friends" and asked if she was there to send him cold medicine. Upon seeing the invitation, he called the activity a "Hongmen Banquet" (a trap). He found it amusing that Future Up's method of thanking an investor was to invite him to a fight.

Instead, he suggested a more sincere thank-you, like a candlelight dinner for the two of them, or for her to "directly come to my house—" Before he could finish, Nan Qiao slammed his door shut and left. For the team-building event, Chang Jianxiong unilaterally changed the location from the initially planned city outskirts site to a real-life counter-terrorism combat base where he used to train, claiming the other place was "too boring." Upon arrival, Shi Yue was already there.

Chang Jianxiong and Shi Yue met face-to-face for the first time since the events of the military academy. They feigned ignorance of each other and exchanged a perfunctory handshake. The staff noted the advanced laser battle simulation system, where guns mimicked real ones with sound and smoke, and hits to lethal areas would trigger a sensor, emitting smoke and shutting down the weapon.

The game divided players into red and blue teams; red would defend the mountain top, and blue's mission was to plant a flag on the top and eliminate all red team members within a set time. During team selection, most employees sided with Chang Jianxiong on the red team. Shi Yue, noticing this, deliberately chose the blue team.

When Chang Jianxiong demonstrated his marksmanship at the target training area, Nan Qiao, who had initially joined the red team, discreetly switched her armband to blue, joining Shi Yue, who was then the only blue team member. Soon, a few other employees also switched to blue, but they secretly planned to "collectively commit suicide" at a critical moment to show loyalty to the company. The battle commenced.

Chang Jianxiong, leading the red team, outlined a professional offensive plan, dividing his team into small groups for a three-pronged attack while he and a few others maintained a defense at the base. He instructed his team to "annihilate the blue team on their way up here" and warned, "Bullets have no eyes. There is no Boss in the battlefield. As long as he's wearing a blue arm band, kill them all."

In contrast, Shi Yue, leading the blue team, had no discernible strategy. When Nan Qiao asked for a battle plan, he simply stated, "I don't have any strategy. Winning is no more than a result." He further added that their "positive attitude" was to "load your guns and be ready to aim," and their strategy was "to kill anyone you see." He haphazardly assigned groups, pairing himself with Nan Qiao.

As expected, the well-prepared red team quickly eliminated several scattered blue team members. However, Shi Yue and Nan Qiao moved stealthily, executing a flank attack that quickly took out several red team members. Nan Qiao successfully hit one, but as she celebrated, another red team member targeted her. Shi Yue swiftly shielded Nan Qiao, turned, and, with a complex maneuver, eliminated the attacker.

Soon, only Shi Yue and Nan Qiao remained on the blue team, while the red team still held numerical and positional advantages, with Chang Jianxiong positioned atop a cliff. Shi Yue confidently declared Chang Jianxiong's tactics "old-fashioned" and "relying on terrain." Nan Qiao, defending Chang Jianxiong, argued it was a "tried-and-tested method" and that "a high area is good for ambushes. A cliff can cutoff one's retreat path." Shi Yue retorted, "For you, is that all of his intelligence?"

Nan Qiao shot back that it was "way better than someone without any strategy like you." Shi Yue then proposed, "Countryside combat requires good skills and intelligence. I have the skills, and you have the brain." Understanding his intention for a pincer attack, Nan Qiao agreed. Shi Yue instructed Nan Qiao to follow his every word if she wanted to win, advising her to climb the cliff while he attacked frontally.

He also showed concern, telling her, "You must not rush. If you can't do it, then immediately stop this operation. Don't force yourself. Immediately radio me. Got it?" Nan Qiao bravely began scaling the cliff without safety measures, while Shi Yue drew fire with a frontal assault. They coordinated their timing perfectly. Just as they were about to launch their synchronized attack, Chang Jianxiong called for Lao Qin to switch positions with him.

Lao Qin complied, but as soon as he appeared, he was hit and eliminated. In the rest area, Wen Di vented her frustration, complaining that Chang Jianxiong's "intelligence today is at negative," deliberately turning their advantage into a disadvantage and sending Lao Qin to "die in vain." Lao Qin confirmed that Chang Jianxiong's actions were "obvious that he wanted a duel" with Shi Yue. Shi Yue effortlessly infiltrated the red team's base.

However, the scene triggered vivid memories of his past in military school. He reflexively shouted, "Be careful, there is a trap!" This unintentional warning exposed Nan Qiao's position, and she was subsequently hit by Chang Jianxiong. Enraged, Shi Yue discarded his weapon and tactical vest. Chang Jianxiong understood, matching Shi Yue's gesture by removing his own gear, and addressed him by his former name, "Shi Junqing."

The two former friends and rivals finally engaged in a direct, hand-to-hand confrontation, reminiscent of their military school days. The evenly matched pair exchanged blows, each intimately familiar with the other's techniques and tactics, resulting in a fierce struggle. As they fought, Chang Jianxiong demanded to know why Shi Yue was getting close to Nan Qiao. Shi Yue responded cryptically that there was "only one reason" for a man to approach a woman.

Before he could finish, the game time expired, ending their confrontation in a draw. They returned to the rest area, and everyone gathered for a group photo, which was taken by a drone. As they were leaving the training base, Shi Yue subtly slipped a mobile phone into Nan Qiao's pocket and offered to drive her home. However, Nan Qiao declined, just as Wen Di had predicted she would, and chose to ride in Chang Jianxiong's car.

Inside the car, Chang Jianxiong brought up the fact that Shi Yue was now living near Nan Qiao, to which she simply replied that Shi Yue was free to live wherever he pleased. Feeling provoked, Chang Jianxiong then found himself in a high-speed chase as Shi Yue's car pulled up alongside them. Chang Jianxiong, fueled by anger, followed Shi Yue all the way to his new apartment in Nan Qiao's complex.

Watching Shi Yue walk away, Chang Jianxiong was flooded with memories of their youth: their first encounter at the military academy selection, their initial camaraderie as respectful rivals and close friends, and the pivotal moment when Chang Jianxiong, wanting to impress Nan Qiao, stole Shi Yue's meticulously translated German drone research documents, ultimately leading to Shi Yue's expulsion from the military academy.
