Tai Ge and his men stormed into Clear Dream Bar, demanding his account books and threatening Xie Hao. Shi Yue calmly told him that he had already given the books to Sister An. Furious, Tai Ge prepared to harm Xie Hao, but Chang Jianxiong intervened just in time, shouting for Tai Ge's men to stop. Tai Ge then tried to sow discord between Shi Yue and Chang Jianxiong, showing documents revealing Shi Yue's investigation into Changshi Group.

He scoffed, "You treat Shi Yue as your brother, he only treats you as an enemy! Your family will go bankrupt soon!" Chang Jianxiong, however, declared that the issues between him and Shi Yue were none of Tai Ge's concern. Seeing his provocation fail, Tai Ge simply issued a warning to Shi Yue, "Having one less enemy in this world is gaining one more friend. Or else, he also knows how I do things," before leading his men away.

After Tai Ge left, Chang Jianxiong confronted Shi Yue with the documents. He angrily told Shi Yue that he could investigate Changshi Group, his father, or even himself, and he would accept whatever Shi Yue found. However, Chang Jianxiong warned that he would not allow Shi Yue to use such methods to force him out of Future Up, demanding that Shi Yue confront him openly instead of hiding behind Nan Qiao.

Shi Yue retorted, asking if Chang Jianxiong truly considered himself "upright and aboveboard," and challenged him to tell Nan Qiao who stole whose dissertation and who used whose name to conduct business. Chang Jianxiong pleaded, stating that Nan Qiao knew nothing of the past and begged Shi Yue not to hurt her, emphasizing that she shouldn't be a pawn in their conflict. Shi Yue, however, declared, "I never treated her as my stake.

I have always treated her as my woman." Chang Jianxiong then scorned Shi Yue's identity as a bar owner involved in both legal and illegal activities, and a man with an ambiguous relationship with a wealthy widow, contrasting it with Nan Qiao's untarnished past, asserting that they belonged to different worlds. Chang Jianxiong further stated that even if the past was his fault, it couldn't be changed.

Unyielding, Shi Yue stated that even without his involvement, Nan Qiao would never have chosen Chang Jianxiong. He then gravely declared, "Shi Junqing is already dead. My name is Shi Yue," and added, "We reunited because of this woman. Let's end things because of this woman then." Despite his outward bravado, Shi Yue felt a pang of sadness as he stood alone on the rooftop, gazing at the city lights and recalling Chang Jianxiong's harsh words about their different worlds.

Meanwhile, a distraught Chang Jianxiong sought solace in drinking with Lao Qin, mistakenly confiding in him as if he were the old Shi Junqing. Lao Qin warned Chang Jianxiong not to covet his "brother's wife," fearing that Nan Qiao might fall in love with someone else. Lao Qin then received a call from Nan Qiao, requiring him to leave for urgent overtime work.

He explained to Chang Jianxiong that they were struggling to connect with Professor Liang Jiangang in the U. S. Upon hearing this, Chang Jianxiong, albeit half-drunk, called his own father, asking for information about Professor Liang, noting that the professor had joined the army at the same time as his father. After being advised by his father, Chang Jianxiong, still determined, went directly to Nan Qiao's father's house for help.

However, Nan Qiao's father, upon hearing Professor Liang's name, became enraged and immediately threw Chang Jianxiong out of his house, shouting at him for mentioning Liang Jiangang. Perplexed, Chang Jianxiong called his father again, only to learn the reason for Nan Qiao's father's outburst: Professor Liang Jiangang had been his love rival in the past, leaving Chang Jianxiong utterly frustrated. Adjusting to U. S. time, Nan Qiao tirelessly tried to contact Professor Liang Jiangang.

After persistent attempts, she finally received a response, learning that Professor Liang would return to China in three days. Overjoyed, Nan Qiao immediately gathered her team at Future Up, instructing them to prepare a grand reception and plan to invite Professor Liang directly to their company for guidance. She emphasized the need to present their work in the best possible light and tasked someone with finding his flight details.

Later, Hao Jie informed Shi Yue via message that they had successfully contacted Professor Liang. Three days later, Shi Yue arrived at the airport, where he and Hao Jie discovered that Professor Liang Jiangang's agreement to visit Future Up was entirely due to Wen Di. Unbeknownst to everyone, Wen Di had traveled to the U. S. in advance and, with her persuasive skills, convinced Professor Liang. In the car, Wen Di presented Professor Liang with Future Up's materials.

At the office, Nan Qiao and her team prepared a drone demonstration. However, Professor Liang was unimpressed, criticizing their technology as too crude. He pointed out various flaws in their drone, including inadequate self-regulation, insufficient motor power, and poor rotor stability, causing disappointment among the Future Up staff. He further ridiculed their elaborate setup of food and drinks, remarking that it looked more like a tea party than a serious technical exchange, and turned to leave.

Nan Qiao quickly stopped him, sincerely apologizing for any impoliteness and earnestly explaining the altitude drop problem, including presenting the drone's black box data and describing her experience testing the drone during a thunderstorm. Professor Liang was moved by Nan Qiao's perseverance and her bravery in retrieving the black box data in dangerous conditions. He agreed to provide technical support, remarking that despite her lacking skills and unclear qualifications, her perseverance made her a worthy student.

He then immediately began working with the team, instructing them to get to work and emphasizing that their learning depended on their own abilities. As Future Up buzzed with activity, Professor Liang suddenly received a call from Nan Qiao's father. It became clear that Professor Liang's visit wasn't solely Wen Di's doing; Nan Qiao's father had also played a role.

Over the phone, Professor Liang playfully chided Nan Qiao's father, saying he was only helping because Nan Qiao showed great scientific talent, even comparing her determination to her "old stubborn man" father. Shi Yue, who overheard the call, quickly informed Nan Qiao. Nan Qiao, unsurprised, reflected that while her father outwardly seemed to disapprove of her, he secretly cared deeply, a "sharp tongue but soft heart" personality trait Shi Yue noted they both shared.

Nan Qiao lamented that the emotional knot between them was now too difficult to untie, even if she could find ways to improve their relationship, it would never return to how it once was. She fondly reminisced about her childhood, when her father wasn't so stubborn, and they would often stroll together, discussing everything, and how he once joyfully introduced Ouyang Qi to her. Meanwhile, Nan Qiao spotted Wen Di shopping extravagantly.

Nan Qiao generously purchased all the selected items for Wen Di and sincerely apologized, explaining that while Future Up could survive without her, it would undeniably be better with her. The two finally reconciled. Elsewhere, Shi Yue, Hao Jie, and Xie Hao were enjoying hotpot.

Shi Yue playfully teased Hao Jie about his feelings for Ouyang Qi, remarking that Ouyang Qi was still trapped in her past love and that Hao Jie wouldn't stay long enough for anything to come of it. Hao Jie, however, declared his commitment, stating he intended to stay and help Ouyang Qi move past her grief, no matter how long it took.

He elaborated, using a hotpot analogy, that enduring, calm emotions often hold more substance than passionate ones, implying Ouyang Qi's inner quality was what he liked. Inspired by his dedication, the trio drove to Ouyang Qi's pet store. To their surprise, they found Nan Qiao there with Ouyang Qi. Thinking quickly, Hao Jie claimed he was there for a check-up, with Shi Yue as his companion.

Nan Qiao found their transparent excuse endearing and, with a laugh, playfully declined Shi Yue's offer to drive her, saying she was off to "see handsome guys." Later that evening, Nan Qin's son accompanied Nan Qiao on a shopping trip. Observing her lack of practical life skills, he concluded that she needed an "all-around" boyfriend, especially one who could cook. Just then, Shi Yue walked by, leading three dogs and carrying groceries and Nan Qin's son's favorite yogurt drinks.

Nan Qin's son enthusiastically declared Shi Yue the perfect candidate, listing his attributes: a good physique, a passion for life (evidenced by his dogs), domestic skills (carrying vegetables), and attention to quality of life (the yogurt drinks). He even confidently asserted that Shi Yue was single, jokingly remarking that if he had a girlfriend, he wouldn't need dogs for company. When Nan Qin's son asked about the dogs, Shi Yue introduced them as Copper Coin, Silver Coin, and Gold Coin, which led to a playful exchange of witty remarks.
