Hao Jie suggested that Nan Qiao likely chose to be brave to protect him.
Shi Yue confessed that in that moment, he was terrified of dying, fearing that if he did, no one would be his bedside lamp. Hao Jie then playfully declared that Shi Yue had found love. Shi Yue, however, maintained that all his actions towards Nan Qiao were premeditated and that if Hao Jie believed he had developed genuine feelings, then his plan had succeeded. The conversation shifted to Ouyang Qi, whom Hao Jie had been unsuccessfully pursuing.
Shi Yue advised Hao Jie to leverage the high-tech devices around him, specifically hinting at drones. Following Shi Yue's guidance, Hao Jie launched a drone towards Ouyang Qi. He unexpectedly spotted Nan Qiao with Ouyang Qi and learned she was heading to a rock climbing gym. To address this, they needed to improve radio reception, and she planned to visit Professor Liang in the US, an expert in the field. Chang Jianxiong was about to offer advice when he received a phone call regarding the situation at the Clear Dream bar. He immediately instructed his subordinates not to act rashly and await his orders.
Observing Chang Jianxiong's decisive demeanor, Nan Qiao told him that everyone has a past, but one can choose to live in the present. She assured him that he was not just Chang Jianxiong, but also her partner, and offered to help him shoulder his burdens. At the bar, Tai Ge, unable to find his account books, threatened Hao Jie to pressure Shi Yue.
