She had sent visiting cards to the Second Prince’s residence over the past few days, but all were rejected. Li Wei was unwilling to think negatively—after all, Yin Song needed this child very much. The sisters chatted happily, and they thought that once the political climate improved, they might even start a women’s business association and invite Hao Jia to join. Her leaving might not seem like a big deal now, but if Yin Song decided to hold them accountable, the entire Hao family of Yanchuan would be in trouble.

Hearing her mother’s words, Hao Jia felt increasingly suffocated. Tears welled up in her eyes, and her heart slowly turned cold. That night, Yin Song came to look for Hao Jia. The maid panicked—but to everyone’s surprise, Hao Jia had actually come back. Days passed, and Hao Jia’s baby was due. She was in great pain, almost to the point of fainting, while Yin Song was still thinking about how to deal with Yin Zheng.

Zhao Fangru rushed over upon hearing the news, her heart in knots. Outside the courtyard, Li Wei and Yuan Ying had also arrived, but the guards stopped them. It wasn’t until nightfall that news came: both mother and child were safe.
