Qiao Chusheng tried to persuade Xu Yuan to let the law punish Zhou Wenmao, reminding him that even Miss He would not wish him to become a murderer. However, consumed by vengeance, Xu Yuan disregarded the plea and fatally stabbed Zhou Wenmao. Xu Yuan was later sentenced to ten years in prison.
Mr. He visited Xu Yuan in jail, expressing deep regret and apologizing for his past actions.
