Elder Yue only let go of her after feeding her a poison, then told Gong Ziyu that the poison was called "Moon of Heart Corrosion. " Gong Ziyu would only pass the second trial if he could concoct the antidote and save Yun Weishan.

Elder Yue then brought them to a place filled with medicinal texts and gave Gong Ziyu some hints. But there were simply too many texts, and Gong Ziyu feared that Yun Weishan would succumb to the poison before he found the antidote formula. Elder Yue told him to use his intellect—he would find a solution. Gong Ziyu calmed down and analyzed the situation.

Gong Ziyu revealed that "Moon of Heart Corrosion" was not the real name of the poison—it should be "Fly of the Half Moon," which matched Yun Weishan’s symptoms. Yun Weishan was shocked and saw hope that she would no longer be controlled by the poison. Elder Yue deliberately mentioned two medicinal herbs, Wújiāng and Jiěmáo, but one crucial ingredient was still missing. He had torn that critical page from the book to test Gong Ziyu’s capabilities.

After Elder Yue left, Gong Ziyu racked his brain in frustration. At that moment, he heard Yun Weishan murmuring in her sleep that the key ingredient was insect eggs. Gong Ziyu was skeptical but noted it. Elsewhere, Han Yasi met with Han Yaqi at the Wanhua Pavilion. Han Yasi handed over something Yun Weishan had retrieved and boasted about how his disciple played a crucial role this time.

Han Yaqi wanted to see what Yun Weishan had acquired, but Han Yasi refused to tell him, saying he would find out when Shangguan Qian sent out the next piece of intelligence. Yun Weishan hesitated and only said she was loyal to him, but didn’t promise not to lie. She recalled the warnings from Shangguan Qian and Han Yasi—that the most dangerous thing for a spy is to fall in love, and now she was already deeply entangled. When Yun Weishan saw Gong Ziyu asleep in the Moon Palace, she quickly fetched a blanket to cover him.

Gong Ziyu woke up and felt moved, thinking he should have been the one taking care of her. He tried to take Yun Weishan back to the Gong residence for interrogation, but Gong Ziyu blocked him. Elder Yue then produced a truth-telling herb. Yun Weishan had no choice but to drink it.
