After a late-night program, Tian Jingzhi, whose car was recently totaled, prepared to ride her small scooter home. Li Yanzhi arrived, expressed concern for her safety, and offered her his car while he took her scooter.
Tian Jingzhi, though trying to appear unaffected, saw the good luck charm she had given him hanging in his car and was flooded with memories: giving him the talisman for his new car, declaring she had loved him since she was eight, and his playful annoyance at her constant affirmations of love.
