Bai Lu advised Tian Jingzhi to wear sunglasses, noting her increased popularity. However, Tian Jingzhi, confident she wouldn't be recognized, defiantly picked her nose in front of Bai Lu. To her surprise, a fan instantly spotted her and snapped a picture. Startled, Tian Jingzhi rushed home, only to discover she was trending online because of the photo. Ironically, instead of backlash, the public praised her for being relatable and genuine, significantly boosting her appeal.

Bai Lu explained that while they could sue for privacy, it would harm Tian Jingzhi’s reputation, as people now found her “down to earth” and “cute, like a little kitty.” Meanwhile, Bai Lu met with Yue Bai. Dr. Jiang Yiheng, looking frail, entered the room. He explained that inspired by Xue Lingqiao and Tian Jingzhi’s ability to reproduce after exchanging blood, he conducted an experiment.

He injected himself with another superhuman's blood to see what a mixture of two superhuman bloods would do. The result was a severe regression to his pre-mutation state, experiencing headaches, coughing, and full-body chills. Despite Bai Lu's scolding for experimenting on himself, Dr. Jiang Yiheng assured them it was temporary and had allowed them to discover a way to suppress superhuman powers at normal temperatures.

He also confirmed that he had left nutrient shots at Tian Jingzhi's home, and Xue Lingqiao could administer them if needed. Their discussion then shifted to the Ding Tian case. Bai Lu revealed that she had prepared a manipulated video showing Ding Tian alive, and Dr. Jiang Yiheng had anonymously provided it, along with other clues, to the police.

This strategy successfully led Li Yanzhi to believe Ding Tian was immortal, causing him to momentarily drop the investigation into her disappearance. However, Li Yanzhi remained focused on the cave murder case, which Yue Bai and Dr. Jiang Yiheng had no immediate answers for. Dr. Jiang Yiheng, frustrated, half-jokingly suggested killing Li Yanzhi. Elsewhere, Yun Zhen was on his first date with Ye Meixiao, but he appeared sullen.

Ye Meixiao promptly declared that if he wasn't happy, the date wouldn't count, prompting Yun Zhen to feign enthusiasm. They spent the day at an amusement park, engaging in playful activities like spraying water at each other, and their relationship seemed to be softening. Feng Dongdong later reported to Xue Lingqiao that Yun Zhen was indeed "participating in the date as he should be."

Xue Lingqiao then expressed hope that once Yun Zhen resolved his issues with Ye Meixiao, he would move out of Xue Lingqiao's home. Upon returning home, Tian Jingzhi and Xue Lingqiao were greeted by a surprise visit from Tian Jingzhi’s parents.

To explain Xue Lingqiao’s presence, Tian Jingzhi spun an elaborate lie, which she admitted was inspired by idol dramas: Xue Lingqiao had a terminal illness, which was why he had “quietly broken up” with her, but his overwhelming longing led him to move in next door to “protect her and stay by her side until he died.” Her father was so moved he wept and nearly fainted, needing Tian Jingzhi’s assistance to be escorted outside.

Tian Jingzhi’s mother lamented her daughter's tragic dating life, while her grandfather quipped that Tian Jingzhi “jinxes everyone she dates” and that if Li Yanzhi had accepted her proposal, he would have "died already." Later, Xue Lingqiao questioned Tian Jingzhi about how she planned to manage the elaborate lie she had told her parents.

Tian Jingzhi nonchalantly suggested it wouldn't be an issue since Xue Lingqiao would eventually leave in a year or two, and they could simply say he had "passed because of his illness." Unknown to them, Tian Jingzhi's father, while driving home with his wife, admitted he had seen through their charade, making fun of his daughter's "terrible story." He knew Xue Lingqiao and Tian Jingzhi wanted to reconcile and had only feigned distress to spare them embarrassment.

He observed them happily shopping together and anticipated becoming a grandfather, content that "Little Zhi's mood has been better." Meanwhile, Ye Meixiao continued her peculiar courtship of Yun Zhen. She systematically paid off all his recent girlfriends, meticulously listing the amounts she spent, ranging from ¥78,000 down to ¥810 for a pair of earrings. Yun Zhen, exasperated, barely recalled their names but conceded that Ye Meixiao was "different" from the others.

He also asked if she expected him to pay her back, to which she retorted that she hadn't asked him to be a "money-scattering boy." Despite his initial reluctance, their date continued, and their relationship seemed to be softening. Li Yanzhi, still investigating, met with Fang Xian's best friend. The friend revealed that Fang Xian's parents frequently fought due to her father's gambling debts, and Fang Xian often wished for them to divorce, feeling pity for her mother.

The friend also recalled Fang Xian recently asking for an unused bank card and its PIN, which belonged to her deceased cousin, intending to save money for her mother without her father's knowledge. Li Yanzhi obtained the card number. During a discussion about Tian Jingzhi's pregnancy, Dr. Jiang Yiheng highlighted a critical bottleneck: Tian Jingzhi's body's digestive and absorption functions were insufficient to sustain the fetus's rapid development.

He likened it to trying to fill a swimming pool with a garden hose. He proposed a "final plan" to accelerate fetal growth. Xue Lingqiao expressed concern about Tian Jingzhi's life being in danger and suggested contacting other female members of the organization for help. However, Dr. Jiang Yiheng stressed that the most suitable option was using Xue Lingqiao's blood, as it possessed powerful regenerative properties and, being the father's, would not cause rejection reactions.

He also stressed that maintaining the status quo with the current "temporary way we are sustaining her life" was detrimental in the long run. They determined Xue Lingqiao's blood would be administered via syringe, as his previous method of direct blood transfer by mouth, though effective in emergencies, would not provide a sufficient dose. The baby was affectionately referred to as "Little Lucky Star." After receiving Xue Lingqiao’s blood, Tian Jingzhi felt remarkably energetic, her body "full of energy."

She excitedly wondered if she could "fly like a superhuman" and expressed a desire to have a boxing match. She then accidentally stumbled on the sofa and fell directly into Xue Lingqiao’s waiting arms. Later, Li Yanzhi confronted Xue Lingqiao at a Taekwondo school, questioning why he transferred one million yuan to Fang Xian.

Tian Jingzhi, who had followed them, was shocked to learn about the payment and also realized it was the reason Xue Lingqiao had been secretly opening her packages. Xue Lingqiao calmly explained that he had paid Fang Xian because she was blackmailing Tian Jingzhi, adding that he did not want her to worry and only wanted her to focus on taking care of herself and "Little Lucky Star."

Tian Jingzhi, still indignant about the blackmail, speculated that Fang Xian might have had a terminal illness as a motive. She described Fang Xian's sudden disappearance as an "act of God" given the "coincidence" of her going missing after attempting to secure money for her mother through illicit means.
