Miss The Dragon Episode 3 Recap
> Miss The Dragon Recap
Continuing his quest to repay Liuying, Yuchi Longyan observes her in a forest as she searches for herbs to treat an injured kitten. He appears after she stumbles, questioning why she would go to such lengths for a wild cat. Liuying urges him to stay away, explaining that while a doctor cannot heal everyone, she must heal those she encounters. She refuses his offer of help and continues her search for the golden-leaf chrysanthemum, the final herb needed.
Just as she finds it, she is startled to hear the kitten speak, asking if she was worried for it. As Liuying marvels at the talking kitten, she is ambushed by demonic figures clad in black. Yuchi Longyan swiftly intervenes, dispatching the assailants and saving her. Bingxing from Luofeng Pavilion appears, thanking the Dragon King for his assistance and acknowledging that Luofeng Pavilion now owes him a favor.
After Bingxing departs, Liuying notices Yuchi Longyan sustained a minor injury during the fight and insists on treating it. Meanwhile, the bird spirit Qingqing arrives at a grand library, where she is stopped by the Immortal of Fate. She is astonished by his youthful and handsome appearance, having always imagined him to be an old man. Though he initially tries to dismiss her, Qingqing's persistence pays off when he notices a meteor mark on her forehead.
Qingqing explains the scar mars her beauty and remains no matter her form. The Immortal of Fate reveals that the mark is a symbol tied to her soul and can only be removed at Luofeng Pavilion. Thrilled, Qingqing profusely thanks him before leaving. Back at a nearby dwelling, Liuying carefully applies medicine to Yuchi Longyan’s wound. He feels an unaccustomed warmth on his face from her proximity. Liuying mentions that she only names animals that are special to her.
When Yuchi Longyan asks her who is the most special, she hesitates, so he suggests naming the kitten "Spot," a name she accepts. Later, he picks up a book Liuying dropped, "The Legend of the White Snake," noting it is also a story of repaying kindness. When rain suddenly begins to fall, he emulates a scene from the book, sharing his umbrella with her.
After the rain stops, Liuying sees his wound got wet and insists on re-bandaging it, which convinces Yuchi Longyan that the methods in this book are the correct way to repay her. Later, as they walk through the streets, Yuchi Longyan’s striking appearance draws the attention of many women, some even feigning falls to get his attention. Observing his cold indifference, Liuying subtly takes his arm to deter the admirers.
She then tells him he no longer needs to repay her. He produces a book titled "An Emperor's Requite," confessing that his misguided previous attempts at repayment, like trying to offer himself to her, came from it. Liuying declares it a "bad book" that makes him look like a scoundrel. Yuchi Longyan promptly destroys it, secretly resolving to study "The Legend of the White Snake" more closely to understand how to properly repay his debt.
Qingqing finds Luofeng Pavilion and the Fleeting Pipa within. Recalling the Immortal of Fate's words, she prepares to take a string to remove her meteor mark but is apprehended by Bingxing and brought before the pavilion master, Xue Qianxun. Without looking up, Xue Qianxun coldly orders her execution. Qingqing pleads for her life, explaining she only wanted to borrow a string. When he finally looks at her and sees the meteor mark, he is struck by a splitting headache.
Finding her presence strange and suspicious, he strips Qingqing of her powers and sentences her to one hundred years of servitude as his maid so he can investigate her origins. Having finished studying, Yuchi Longyan returns to Liuying and declares that he finally understands the proper method of repayment. Citing how the White Snake married her savior, he offers to marry himself to Liuying. A flustered Liuying insists she cannot afford to take a dragon as a husband.
Yuchi Longyan dismisses her financial concerns, offering his Dragon Pool and a thousand years of spiritual power as a dowry. When Liuying claims it was her lady, Xiahou Xue, who saved him, he leans in, inhales her scent, and affirms his intuition is never wrong—it was her. He then asks if she is refusing because he isn't human or handsome enough, offering to change his appearance to a scholar, a general, or a wealthy man. Overwhelmed, Liuying says she is simply tired and wants to rest. Yuchi Longyan agrees, but instead of leaving, he implies they will be resting together.
