Xue Qianxun brought the Fleeting Pipa to Yuchi Longyan, the Dragon King, seeking his help. He explained that Qing Qing's greatest wish was to remove the meteor scar from her forehead, and he believed pulling a string from the pipa would achieve this. Yuchi Longyan warned that extracting the string was akin to pulling out tendons and expressed reluctance, suggesting Xue Qianxun do it himself if he could.

Xue Qianxun insisted he had already tried, confirming it required Yuchi Longyan's spiritual power. As Yuchi Longyan began the painful process, Qing Qing arrived, deeply distressed. She immediately commanded Yuchi Longyan to stop, fearing for Xue Qianxun's life and soul. She tearfully declared that a mere meteor mark was insignificant compared to Xue Qianxun, and seeing him suffer broke her heart.

Xue Qianxun, in turn, comforted her, urging her not to cry and encouraging her to smile because he liked her smile. Qing Qing then asked him how to achieve a natural smile, which he had taught her before, and he playfully demonstrated, expressing his desire to see her happy and not an "emotionless block of ice." Later, he ensured she drank a special tea and ate its leaves for a quick recovery, which she found amusing.

Qing Qing then lightheartedly confessed to being "unfaithful" in love, clarifying that she simply loved every aspect of Xue Qianxun, a sentiment he fully reciprocated, highlighting their strong emotional bond. Yuchi Longyan then disappeared, leaving the two to embrace their growing affection and mutual care. Meanwhile, an official reported to the Emperor that the King of Dongluo had died, and the Second Prince, having ascended the throne, was preparing to violate their treaty and resume hostilities.

Feng Chenyue, the Great Lady General, bravely volunteered to lead the Feng Army to defend the nation's borders. The Emperor praised her as his "Great Lady General." Subsequently, Minister Xu presented evidence of secret meetings between Mr. Guo and Han Xiyun.

Despite Mr. Guo's fervent protests of being slandered, the Emperor, having been informed by Consort Rui, ordered Mr. Guo to be punished with a hundred strokes of the plank, dismissed from his position, exiled to the border, and permanently barred from holding office. Feng Chenyue's forces achieved numerous victories, and a soldier commended her improved martial prowess, to which she humbly replied that their success was a collective effort. During this period, she also spent more time with Yuchi Longyan.

Although he continued to deny being the Dragon King she sought, Chenyue remained convinced he was the one and believed he would eventually admit it to her. Later, in the military camp, Uncle Zhao, a soldier, expressed his concern for Chenyue, reminding her that despite her great military achievements, it was time for her to find a beloved companion and start a family.

Chenyue acknowledged his words, admitting that having someone to share life with would be comforting after the hardships of battle. Soon after, Lu Zheng arrived as the Military Supervisor. He informed Chenyue that he had personally requested this remote and challenging posting, hinting at his unspoken feelings for her. However, Chenyue gently but firmly rejected him, revealing that she had already given her heart to someone else.

She explained that this was not an excuse, but a genuine and increasingly intense feeling she had felt since their first encounter. Lu Zheng accepted her decision, stating his affection for her was his own concern, and Chenyue assured him he would eventually find his true happiness while maintaining their friendly bond. At night, Chenyue stood by a cliff, calling out to Dragon King, convinced he was nearby.

She questioned why he would not show himself and hoped he would eventually come to her. Unseen, Yuchi Longyan heard her, wishing he could reveal the truth but knowing he could only watch over her in secret, desiring her eternal peace. During a direct encounter, Chenyue observed Yuchi Longyan's rapid recovery from his wounds. She asked him how long he would protect her, to which he pledged "forever," jokingly threatening military punishment if he broke his word.

Chenyue told him she understood he had difficulties preventing him from revealing his true identity. She assured him that as long as he remained by her side, she would not care about anything else or ask further questions, and promised to never forget him, addressing him by the name "Yuchi." Eventually, Yuchi Longyan accompanied Chenyue throughout her current life, providing unwavering protection and support. After her life concluded, her memories of past existences returned.

It was then that Yuchi Longyan finally admitted his true identity as the Dragon King. Overjoyed, Chenyue embraced him, finally able to be truly united. Yuchi Longyan then took Chenyue to Luofeng Pavilion, where they met Qing Qing and Xue Qianxun. Chenyue was surprised to learn that Qing Qing was actually a Blue Bird and Xue Qianxun was the Lord of Luofeng Pavilion, revealing their non-mortal nature.

Qing Qing confirmed she was a bird demon but desired Chenyue's friendship, which Chenyue readily accepted. Chenyue then asked Qing Qing if she had always known Yuchi Longyan's true identity, and Qing Qing admitted she had known everything but was forbidden from speaking, expressing her relief at finally being able to share the long-held secret. Xue Qianxun then cautioned Chenyue against pouring out the Lethe Tea again, explaining it would violate heavenly rules.

Chenyue, understanding that drinking it would make her forget her past and Yuchi Longyan, adamantly refused. Yuchi Longyan reassured her that even if she forgot, he would find her and marry her in the human world. However, Chenyue, now fully recalling their shared history, refused to wait another lifetime. Seizing Yuchi Longyan's hand, she declared her intention to marry him immediately and pulled him away, leaving Qing Qing to excitedly realize their intentions.

Chenyue led Yuchi Longyan, declaring they were going to get married. She playfully suggested his underwater palace, but he led her high into the sky, flying her through the clouds—a dream she had long held, reminiscent of their past horseback rides through the woods. They arrived at his ancestral Dragon Pool. Chenyue then asked him to finally recount every detail of her past lives as Liuying and Ayu.

Yuchi Longyan showed her a painting they had drawn together and a handkerchief with a half-embroidered dragon that he had completed, symbols from her previous incarnations. He emphasized that regardless of her name—Liuying, Ayu, or Chenyue—she had always been by his side. Chenyue, deeply moved, reaffirmed her commitment, pledging to be with him always, no matter who he was. Meanwhile, Qing Qing, realizing their intention to marry, decided to prepare a dowry.

Although she noted that immortal marriages lacked the elaborate human customs, she insisted on the importance of a red wedding dress and a love token. Knowing they already had a token, she resolved to ensure Chenyue received a red wedding dress. At the Dragon Pool, with a grand star halo as a witness and the Dragon Pool itself as the betrothal gift, Yuchi Longyan formally proposed to Chenyue, asking if she would marry him.
