> Miss The Dragon Recap

Following his confrontation with Baldhead Xu, Yuchi ties both him and Liu Yuxiang together in the street under a sign declaring them human traffickers. When officials arrive, Yuxiang feigns innocence, claiming she was the victim Baldhead Xu intended to kidnap. Baldhead Xu desperately cries out that his actions were for Yuxiang's sake, but he is arrested. Before being taken away, he tells Yuxiang that Qingqing’s brother was the one who tied them up.

This leads Yuxiang to suspect that Qingqing is also a demon, and she resolves to have her captured. Meanwhile, Qingqing senses a killing aura approaching, making her feathers bristle. Though she has no powers, she plans to flee but delays her escape to retrieve a sachet from Xue Qianxun. This hesitation allows a powerful demon hunter to corner her and trap her with a Demon-Binding Rope.

Desperate, Qingqing uses the Three-call Spell to call for Yuchi, but Xue Qianxun appears instead and rescues her. Back at Luofeng Pavilion, while tending to her arm, he explains that he secretly altered the spell to summon himself when he unsealed her powers. Annoyed that he acted without her consent, Qingqing’s attitude exasperates him, and he declares she is no longer his maid.

Delighted to be free, Qingqing cheerfully grabs the osmanthus cakes on the table, assuming they are for her, and leaves a frustrated Xue Qianxun alone. Ayu, after finishing the embroidery on Yuchi's handkerchief, summons him with the fireflies. She presents him with the handkerchief, a small dragon now complete, fulfilling their promise to exchange love tokens after the Star Halo's appearance. Overjoyed, Yuchi gives her a folded paper dragon in return.

He then leads her to a magical place he created—the Fallen-flower Valley, filled with butterflies. Ayu feels a strange sense of familiarity with the valley. She confesses that every moment with him makes the world more beautiful, then embraces and kisses him. Yuchi returns the embrace, but immediately after, she is struck by another dizzy spell and faints in his arms. Worried about Ayu's recurring dizziness, Yuchi is visited by the Immortal of Fate.

The Immortal explains that the fireflies Yuchi created for Ayu are draining his spiritual energy. Because Yuchi's own energy is now depleted, he is unconsciously absorbing Ayu's mortal essence to compensate. The Immortal gravely warns that their relationship is a dead end—"Human and demon are different"—and his continued presence will ultimately kill her. When Yuchi asks why this wasn't an issue with Liuying, the Immortal clarifies that Yuchi's power was abundant then, and their time together was brief.

Convinced he is the cause of her fainting spells, Yuchi understands he must leave her. Having heard rumors that a demon hunter captured Qingqing, a terrified Ayu uses the fireflies to call for Yuchi. Relieved when he appears unharmed in the Fallen-flower Valley, she asks if he is a demon. He confirms it. Far from being afraid, Ayu urges him to flee, explaining that a powerful hunter is after him.

She notes that he and Qingqing are far kinder than the humans who have bullied her. Affirming he is a dragon demon, Yuchi sorrowfully explains the harsh reality: he must leave her for her own safety. He tells her that because they are human and demon, they can never be together and that he will no longer answer her call. With a heavy heart, he asks her to pretend they never met.

Though heartbroken, Ayu agrees, promising not to miss him. Yuchi tells her not to look back as he leaves, and she stands her ground, determined to endure the pain. In Luofeng Pavilion, Qingqing is frustrated with her makeup and wishes she had something to cover her meteor mark. Observing her distress, Xue Qianxun presents her with a lavish assortment of headwear.

Qingqing is initially delighted, but her joy sours as she misinterprets the gift as a sign that he finds her mark ugly. She rejects the accessories and retreats to her room, leaving Xue Qianxun puzzled. He knows that what she truly desires is not to cover the mark, but to have it removed entirely—a feat he has already tried and failed to accomplish.
