Xia Rui officially moved in with Nan Xi, securing Wan Ling’s silence about their cohabitation by promising to cover her milk tea expenses for over a month. After Xia Rui spent a long time organizing her belongings, Nan Xi entered the room only to find it overflowing with various items. Xia Rui, however, proudly showed off her "perfect" storage system, which included piles of reusable clothes, designated areas for pants, and conveniently placed books.
Nan Xi, accepting her unique method, simply stated it was fine as long as she was comfortable. The following day, Nan Xi joined Xia Rui at the coffee shop at Yi Ze's invitation. Yi Ze admitted his true intention was to use Nan Xi’s good looks to attract more customers, likening him to a mascot. To compensate Xia Rui for “lending out” her boyfriend, Yi Ze, in a rare move, personally taught her the core technique of coffee latte art.
While at the cafe, Liu Bin appeared, reflecting on his past misunderstanding of Yang Yufei. He had learned from Xia Rui that Yang Yufei had actually helped delete a malicious post about her and Nan Xi on the university forum, making him realize he had wronged her. To apologize, Liu Bin ordered and attempted to drink six cups of espresso, much to Yi Ze's amused disbelief, who had secretly diluted them.
Yang Yufei, forgiving him readily, had to leave for class, leaving a relieved Liu Bin to happily clean cups. Back home, Nan Xi found Xia Rui staying up late and, assuming she was gaming, disconnected the internet at 11 PM to enforce an earlier bedtime. He then discovered she was only staying awake to keep him company while he worked on architectural designs. Feeling guilty, Nan Xi apologized.
As a condition for her forgiveness, Xia Rui demanded they play a game, and he agreed. Their playful antics ended with both covered in hard-to-wash-off marker stains, a small, endearing moment in their new living arrangement. Meanwhile, while Xia Rui's relationship flourished, Zhao Yishu felt her patience with Cheng Erluo wearing thin.
She confided in Xia Rui that she had waited for him to mature, but despite her clear hints, he remained oblivious, even offering to help another person, Si Bo, pursue her. Frustrated by his insensitivity, Zhao Yishu decided she couldn't wait any longer and found solace by focusing on her new TV show rehearsals. To ease the tension between Zhao Yishu and Cheng Erluo, Xia Rui invited them to a housewarming party, with Nan Xi preparing the meal.
During dinner, Xia Rui and Nan Xi jokingly complained about each other's cohabitation habits. Xia Rui accused Nan Xi of being overly tidy, making it impossible for her to find things he'd put away, and of walking so silently he nearly gave her heart attacks. Nan Xi, in turn, pointed out her tendency to leave things everywhere and forget to close the bathroom door. Despite their contrasting habits, both firmly believed that living together would not break their bond.
The dinner took a turn when Cheng Erluo, still oblivious, began lecturing Zhao Yishu about the pragmatism of matchmaking. His comments deeply upset Zhao Yishu, who believed love should be the foundation of a relationship. Feeling misunderstood, Zhao Yishu abruptly left the party. Cheng Erluo followed, expressing his frustration that she was ruining the gathering, still failing to grasp the true reason for her anger.
Zhao Yishu, though furious, hesitated to confess her feelings directly, fearing their friendship would be irrevocably broken. Their argument ended with them still at an impasse. Later that night, Xia Rui suddenly experienced stomach pains. A concerned Nan Xi, experiencing such a situation for the first time, nervously prepared brown sugar water and applied a heating pad after consulting Zhao Yishu for advice on dealing with menstrual cramps.
He was comically mortified when Xia Rui revealed her pain was merely from eating expired ice cream, not her period. Academically, Nan Xi’s architecture peers discussed an upcoming competition whose winner would receive a year-long exchange opportunity in Italy. Despite his clear talent, Nan Xi expressed no interest, stating he designs out of passion, not for competition. Meanwhile, Yi Ze revealed he had received an invitation to the World Barista Competition (WBC).
After feigning hesitation, he offered the opportunity to Xia Rui. Despite her initial lack of confidence, Nan Xi encouraged her, offering to accompany her to Jiangzhou for the competition and reassuring her that he believed in her abilities.
