Hou Jue, feeling validated by their praise, outlined his initial plans: consolidating the design department, having everyone work in one area, and subletting surplus office space to ease financial burdens. An employee then proposed a partnership with Dawang Company on the Reggie Hotel project, leveraging their lack of experience and professional personnel to gain benefits for Zhirong Construction. He concluded that with their unity, no challenge was insurmountable. Back at the hospital, Hou Jue was pleased to see Bao Xiaohan visiting Hou Zhirong. Hou Zhirong expressed his immense satisfaction, stating he had waited a long time for Hou Jue to be capable of taking on such responsibility, and he no longer wished to wait. He immediately announced his abdication, appointing Hou Jue as the new Chairman of Zhirong Construction. Hou Jue playfully remarked that his father's announcement came too late, as he had already taken over the company and was now "Chairman Hou."
He urged his father to focus solely on his recovery, assuring him that the company still needed him. Hou Zhirong, while pleased, playfully accused Hou Jue of being "oily." Later, as Hou Jue walked Wu Shiyi out of the hospital, he confirmed he would temporarily manage the company but planned to hire a professional manager.

Wu Shiyi was impressed by his foresight.
