Desperate to catch up with her, he quickly made an excuse to his team leader about an upset stomach and slipped away. He lost her trail but noticed a cleaning lady behaving strangely and quietly followed her into a secluded corner.
To his absolute astonishment, when the woman removed her hat and mask, he found himself staring at his own mother. Since his parents had managed every aspect of his life from school to his career, his mother had desperately wanted to see the girl he was pursuing. She had persuaded a friend who worked as a cleaner to let her cover the shift just so she could spy on him.
Jun Cheng was both amused and exasperated, eventually coaxing her to leave before she got fined for slacking off.
