Meanwhile, Jun Cheng falls asleep on a bench outside Hejing Securities while waiting for Dang Yu. A security guard eventually wakes him up, warning him that the office is empty and that he is no longer allowed in the building without proper clearance.
Back home, Dang Yu complains to Qian Fei over the phone about Jun Cheng's annoying persistence, explaining that she only promised to let him join her gaming guild once he acquired enough gear. Qian Fei suggests that Jun Cheng's true motive might be to pursue her. Simultaneously, Jun Cheng seeks advice from Li Yifei over the phone. Li Yifei encourages him to be relentless, claiming women appreciate persistence.
When Jun Cheng asks if Li Yifei is applying the same tactic to his own landlady, Li Yifei denies it, explaining his current priority is simply to live in the apartment peacefully without being evicted. That night, Qian Fei returns home to a dark apartment, where Li Yifei startles her.
