Luckily, Lu Yizhou and Cang Qi arrived with their forces for a confrontation. During this confrontation, Lin Jing (who is also Nalan Yue) learned that Mo Huan was nearly a hundred years old, was from the Nalan clan, and was the daughter of the former clan leader.
Mo Huan attempted to sow discord, highlighting Lin Jing's alliance with the Ling Sect, but Lin Jing quickly dismissed her efforts, confirming their awareness of the situation and the Nalan family's forced allegiance since the destruction of Lingxu Pavilion. Yun Xu asserted that Lin Jing (A-Yue) would protect the clan members.
Lin Jing then directly questioned Mo Huan's hostility towards the Nalan family, and also voiced his suspicion that Mo Huan had always intended to turn him into an avatar soldier. Mo Huan revealed her true identity as the former Nalan clan leader's daughter, now almost a hundred years old. She recounted her past attempt to master the supreme Nalan martial art, the Command to the Dark Soldiers Skill.
Her impatience led her to bypass using the life-and-death Chihua Pill to protect her heart meridians, resulting in severe backfire and a misstep that caused her to accidentally master another skill, granting her eternal youth. Shortly after, Rong Su informed Rong Hua that Nalan Yue had issued challenges across Jianghu, gathering disciples from various sects in Dragon Howl City to avenge their masters. During their conversation, Rong Hua experienced dizziness. When Rong Jingfeng later noticed Rong Hua's unwell state, Bai Weizhi quickly diagnosed her pregnancy.
To protect Rong Hua and keep the news from Rong Jingfeng, Bai Weizhi announced that Rong Hua was poisoned and took full charge of her care, forbidding anyone else from approaching her. They decided to keep this information secret for now, to ensure they had irrefutable proof before confronting him. An Nalan family disciple named Yun'er, disguised as one of Rong Hua's attendants, intended to send news of Rong Hua's pregnancy to Lin Jing, viewing it as good news that would reconcile them.
However, Jingyuan intercepted Yun'er, warning her against revealing such critical information, explaining that given the precarious situation in Dragon Howl City, where only Bai Weizhi could be trusted, revealing the pregnancy would only endanger Rong Hua further. Jingyuan also revealed that he had long been aware of Yun'er's true identity as a Nalan family member planted by Lin Jing to monitor affairs. Elsewhere, the battle in Pingchuan Forest intensified. Lu Yizhou and Cang Qi led their forces in fierce combat.
Lin Jing, observing the situation, used a special flute to control parasitic worms, reanimating several enemy corpses as avatar soldiers. Seeing their opponents' formidable power, the remaining enemy forces fled. Mei Ying, realizing he was cornered, swiftly grabbed Dongqing, holding him hostage in a desperate attempt to escape. As he faced the accusations, he scoffed, claiming Zi Yan's death was her own fault for being "unwise." Dongqing, seizing an opportunity, managed to break free and flee, allowing Rong Jingfeng to fatally strike Mei Ying.
After the dramatic events, Bai Weizhi felt deep remorse, secluding himself in self-reproach. Rong Hua, offering comfort, confessed her own regret for doubting Lin Jing and for how their relationship suffered a rift after she voiced her suspicions. She presented Bai Weizhi with the fake hairpin she had crafted, explaining the real one's whereabouts were unknown, and asked him to keep it as a memento of Zi Yan.
Concerned for Rong Hua's safety, especially with her pregnancy, Bai Weizhi urged her to leave the city.
