Rong Hua, who had narrowly escaped death shortly after arriving at Lingxu Pavilion, slowly regained her strength over half a month of recovery. One day, Nalan Yue and Lu Yizhou joined her in the courtyard. Nalan Yue, feeling guilty for her suffering and knowing she was bored, had taught her to make dough figurines. As they made the figurines, Rong Hua remembered a flashback to when she took instant pills from her aunt for self-defense before coming to Lingxu Pavilion.

Her aunt had playfully chided her for being "heartless," saying she was already taking her future husband's side before marriage. Rong Hua had explained she needed to stand firm in Lingxu Pavilion and not be looked down upon. Back in the present, Rong Hua confessed to Nalan Yue that she missed her family in Dragon Howl City deeply, even her sister Rong Su.

Nalan Yue apologized for her hardship, swore he would find a way to cure her cold disease, and promised to take her back for visits whenever she wished. Meanwhile, Rong Su, guided by Mei Ying, arrived at the entrance of Lingxu Pavilion. She remarked on the Pavilion's secrecy and heavily guarded nature. Lu Yizhou, hearing the news, was eager to meet her but also concerned about Lingxu Pavilion's strict rules against outsiders and the complications of Mei Ying's involvement.

Nalan Yue, seeing his friend's eagerness, teased him by asking if he wanted to carry Rong Su in a grand palanquin but ultimately tasked Lu Yizhou with handling Rong Su's reception. He emphasized that if it concerned Rong Hua, he would deal with it, but since it was about Rong Su, it was Lu Yizhou's responsibility.

Nalan Yue also worried that Rong Su's arrival, especially as Rong Jingfeng's daughter, would re-ignite the Lingxu Pavilion disciples' resentment towards Rong Hua and undermine her newly established trust. Lu Yizhou went to greet Rong Su, explaining that a secluded guesthouse outside the Pavilion was prepared for guests to ensure privacy. Rong Su was initially offended, believing she was being deliberately kept at a distance and that it showed disrespect for the impending marriage between their sects.

However, Rong Hua soon appeared and clarified that it was her own arrangement to meet her sister in a private location away from the heavily guarded Lingxu Pavilion. Mei Ying also vouched for this, and Rong Su relented. Lin Ruohan returned to Lingxu Pavilion, having met an "old friend," and was somewhat surprised by Rong Hua's actions. She acknowledged Rong Hua's purity and kindness, noting her resemblance to her late mother, who had once saved Lin Ruohan and her husband.

Despite her lingering bitterness towards Rong Jingfeng, Lin Ruohan believed that the grudges should not extend to their children. She then observed Rong Su's calculating nature, reminding her of Rong Jingfeng, which worried her about her own identity being exposed and sparking further conflict in the martial arts world, especially with the Chihua Pill situation and her own chronic illness. Lin Ruohan then instructed Rong Hua to handle internal conflicts on her own, rather than relying on Nalan Yue.

She further imparted a profound internal martial arts technique, specifically designed to treat cold diseases, which was far more advanced than what Nalan Yue had taught her. Moved by Lin Ruohan's kindness, Rong Hua volunteered to study medical arts to help cure Lin Ruohan's chronic illness and find an antidote for the Chihua Pill. Lin Ruohan, however, advised caution, concerned that if Rong Hua failed in such a monumental task, her position within the Pavilion would become even more precarious.

Rong Hua, touched, pledged filial piety to Lin Ruohan as the mother she never knew. Meanwhile, Cangqi, who had been with Lin Ruohan, was seen instructing Jingyuan to temporarily lead the Nalan family in hiding outside Lingxu Pavilion. He urged them to maintain a low profile to preserve their strength and assist Nalan Yue in the future. Jingyuan was angry, believing Nalan Yue was betraying their family by marrying Rong Jingfeng's daughter instead of seeking revenge.

Cangqi defended Nalan Yue, stating his actions in Dragon Howl City were to find an antidote for Lin Ruohan and that his concealment was to avoid alerting their enemies. Jingyuan, consumed by hatred, refused to listen. At the Ling Sect, Jinque received a report that the disciples accompanying Lin Ruohan to the northern wilderness had been killed. Guan Buzhuo, observing the scene, concluded they were likely eliminated by Lin Ruohan herself to protect someone, likely the Nalan family.

Concerned about exacerbating Mo Huan's deep-seated resentment towards Lin Ruohan and Rong Jingfeng, Guan Buzhuo pleaded with Jinque to conceal the truth from Mo Huan, fearing it would reignite their long-standing feud, especially as their master-disciple relationship had just begun to mend. Jinque initially hesitated but agreed to temporarily conceal the matter, suggesting they invent a story about an ambush, blame Rong Su, and imply Lin Ruohan was injured during an escape. Guan Buzhuo reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to Jinque.

Jinque agreed to secrecy but warned him to ensure Lin Ruohan did not arouse Mo Huan's suspicion. Meanwhile, Mo Huan, utilizing Liuli's intelligence and the Snow Union's network, ordered her to spread rumors throughout Jianghu that the Chihua Pill had been destroyed, with no possibility of an antidote. Her aim was to create chaos and trouble for Rong Jingfeng. Lu Yizhou used his time with Rong Su to further his affections.

He and Nalan Yue presented her with edible dough figurines, which Rong Hua affectionately called "solution to homesickness," prompting Rong Su to dismiss them as childish tricks. Nalan Yue and Rong Hua left them alone. Lu Yizhou then took Rong Su to picturesque spots, passionately describing a serene, carefree life outside the struggles of the martial arts world, telling her about a village where people lived simply and peacefully.

He confessed his unwavering love and desire for her to abandon her burdens in Dragon Howl City and share a peaceful life with him. Rong Su asked what he would do if she refused. Lu Yizhou replied he would "brazenly ask her again and again" until she agreed. He pointed out Rong Hua's seemingly blissful life with Nalan Yue and questioned if the fame, power, and responsibilities Rong Su carried were truly what she desired.

Rong Su was visibly touched by his heartfelt confession and the contrast of Rong Hua's peaceful life, admitting to herself a yearning for such tranquility. She expressed concern that if both Rong daughters were to join Lingxu Pavilion, Dragon Howl City would lose face. Lu Yizhou playfully suggested he could "join" Dragon Howl City to balance things out, further emphasizing his willingness to follow her anywhere. Rong Su found a rare sense of peace in his presence.

Later, Lu Yizhou approached Lin Ruohan about his desire to go with Rong Su to Dragon Howl City. Nalan Yue, however, vehemently opposed this, listing Rong Su's perceived negative traits—her harshness, cunning, and coldness—and questioned Lu Yizhou's decision to leave Lingxu Pavilion for such a person, fearing for his friend's happiness. He accused Lu Yizhou of being cold-hearted towards their brotherhood.

Lu Yizhou retorted by reminding Nalan Yue of his own past departure from Lingxu Pavilion to become the master of the Hall of Life in Dragon Howl City, questioning if Nalan Yue had considered his feelings then. Lin Ruohan, treating Lu Yizhou like her own son, surprisingly supported his choice, believing he was level-headed enough to know his heart. She even expressed a desire to meet Rong Su, despite Nalan Yue's fears of her identity being compromised.

Lin Ruohan dismissed his concerns, even joking that Rong Su could be blindfolded. She declared that she would not let her past filled with hatred obstruct their pursuit of happiness. Soon after, Cangqi returned from his mission, and Lin Ruohan instructed Lu Yizhou to bring Rong Su to her, leaving Nalan Yue to wonder about his own role.
