Yuan Ji successfully escaped with Yuan Ming. The two fled in panic, but Yuan Ming snatched the sword and questioned his Third Brother Yuan Ji why he helped him. Yuan Ji knew he had no intention of harming him and told Yuan Ming to leave quickly, saying he would bear all responsibility. Yuan Ming did not appreciate it and wanted to leave alone, but after only a few steps, he fainted. Yuan Ji cared for him with deep concern.

He asked Yuan Ming, "If only one of us can live, what would you choose?" In fact, Yuan Ji had already planned everything. Just then, Yuan Ling arrived, following the sound. Yuan Li had to quickly help Feng Qingchen heal and quietly withdrew.

Yuan Ling found Feng Qingchen, worried deeply, and insisted on carrying her away on his back. He told Feng Qingchen about the memories he had seen, but Feng Qingchen said they had not met before. As they spoke, goose feathers of snow suddenly fell from the Li Jing Sky, landing on their shoulders one by one. For a moment, it was silent and beautiful. Yuan Ling, however, smiled and asked, "Does Feng Qingchen still have something to hide from me then?" He also mentioned hearing a legend that on the day of the first snow, lovers would more easily feel the presence of happiness. Upon hearing this, Feng Qingchen's eyes reddened.

How she wished she could accompany Yuan Ling to witness every first snow in this world, but alas, their love was deep yet their fate shallow, and whether they could reach the end was still unknown. Inside the imperial palace, Yuan An blamed Yuan Ming for using dark sorcery, calling it "scheming with a tiger for its hide." Yuan Ming, however, did not admit his mistake.

Duo Xia, however, pushed him away, insisting on waiting for the results of the consort selection.

Mu Kaisha's persuasion was futile, and he left disheartened. Duo Xia, seeing Mu Kaisha like this, although puzzled, only thought she was overthinking things. Yuan Ling handed the Golden Phoenix Stone to Feng Qingchen, telling her to use it to ask his imperial father for a death-exemption tablet. Feng Qingchen, however, smiled slightly and asked, "What if it could be exchanged for an empire?" Yuan Ling calmly replied, "Between Feng Qingchen and an empire, I choose Feng Qingchen."

Feng Qingchen then entered the palace with the Golden Phoenix Stone. In front of everyone, Feng Qingchen stated that she had no immediate requests, only wishing to make a request to His Majesty later. Duo Xia then stepped forward, asking His Majesty when he would decide on the marriage alliance between the two countries. Yuan An stated that he would give the princess an answer after the Third Prince's seventh day. Upon saying this, Yuan Ling also knelt down.

He requested that his imperial father posthumously enfeoff his Third Brother as a king, stating that although his Third Brother had committed a grave mistake, a person's death closes the matter, and the posthumous enfeoffment was merely the imperial father's loving heart as a father.
