According to ancient records, the Witch Tribe lives in seclusion in the hidden forest of Li Jingtian, never entering the mortal world. The people of the Witch Tribe gather the spirits of all things, assist enlightened emperors, and take it upon themselves to protect the people of the four directions. Today is the day of the executive witch assessment in Li Jingtian.

Only by becoming an executive witch can one leave Li Jingtian to protect the royal family and the world. Amidst the serene cliffs, Witch Tribe Elder Tao Yao, dressed in white, holds a chess piece, playing a game with her senior martial brother Xi Xie. Silver butterflies dance with her every move, her delicate brows like autumn water, her jade-like skin brushed by the gentle breeze, revealing her noble and elegant demeanor.

In a flash, a purple-clothed woman appears unperturbed, arriving on the wind, successfully passing the last challenge.

The woman's beautiful hair is like a waterfall, her skin like congealed cream, her arched eyebrows reaching her temples, and her cherry lips smile sweetly. This is Feng Qingchen. After several twists and turns, Feng Qingchen and two other women reach the final stage. The Witch Tribe stands upon its understanding of heaven and earth. The first two to find a water source among the blooming peach blossoms will pass. On a ten-mile battlefield, the three armies stand solemnly.

The Emperor stands high above, quietly watching the princes bravely compete for a bow. In the struggle, a man in black armor stands out and takes the first prize. After Feng Qingchen saved Yuan Ling and carefully applied medicine for him, she went to report the location of the water source to her master Xi Xie. Xi Xie gave Feng Qingchen a key related to the Witch Tribe's secrets. Watching Feng Qingchen's departing back, Tao Yao was very worried, believing that when the Twin Stars converge, one must fall.

Xi Xie, however, said that he had set up this game for twenty years and was certain he could protect the world and the Witch Tribe. Feng Qingchen returns to the small wooden house to look after Yuan Ling. In truth, Yuan Ling had already woken up, but seeing Feng Qingchen return, he continued to pretend to sleep. Mister Mo in the imperial palace sends news: changes have occurred in the palace, and Prince Ling's whereabouts are unknown. Now, decades have passed, and Prince Ling's true identity may have been exposed. Xi Xie knows that if Prince Ling is indeed in Li Jingtian, the royal family will not give up.

He will have to go and find this person himself. Meanwhile, Feng Qingchen places Yuan Ling in the Spiritual Light Flower Mirror and then departs. Yuan Ling gets up, and scenes of his Father Emperor and brothers believing rumors and suspecting him of treason constantly flood his mind. Their eyes meet, their posture ambiguous, and the atmosphere becomes subtle. Xi Xie comes to the Spiritual Light Flower Mirror looking for Feng Qingchen. It turns out he wants Feng Qingchen to deliver the late Emperor's Imperial Seal to the palace and give it to Mister Mo.

This seal concerns the fate of the Great Wei Empire, and this trip is crucial for the safety of the royal family and Great Wei. After her master leaves, Feng Qingchen guesses Yuan Ling's identity. Yuan Ling is also frank, offering to escort Feng Qingchen back to the palace to repay her for saving his life. Feng Qingchen uses spirit butterflies to discover that Ninth Prince Yuan Ming is still searching for Yuan Ling outside Li Jingtian.
