Synopsis
Ye Sibei had always been enduring, compromising, and evading her parents who favored sons over daughters. This frustrated her loving husband Qin Nan, who was exasperated by her resignation, to the point where he could no longer bear it and asked for a divorce. At this very moment, Ye Sibei was assaulted, leaving her in utter despair.
Upon learning the truth of the incident, Qin Nan steadfastly stood by her side, encouraging her to seek justice through legal means. With the intervention of the judicial authorities, the perpetrator was imprisoned and the whole truth came to light. Supporting each other, Ye Sibei and Qin Nan reconciled with their family and started a new chapter in their lives.

The whole story has a certain enlightening effect, allowing the audience to understand the law and human nature. But there are some unrealistic details. Firstly, the drama deliberately emphasizes unsafe factors through dialogues between some characters and scenes that only appear in Hong Kong films and television, such as splashing red paint at the door, which can easily lead viewers who are not familiar with the national conditions to believe that the current social security in China is poor. However, the foreshadowing of the so-called rapist appearing in the drama is insufficient, making it difficult for normal audiences to believe whether this rape case will actually happen. Normally, a businessperson who can secure a large contract through a dinner party would be happy and even lose his composure to some extent, but he should not engage in reckless behavior such as violence and rape of female subordinates.
