Burning Flames Recap
Episode 1 Recap
In ancient times, the ancient Immortal Clan resided in the Xuanhuang Wasteland. They were born with powerful spiritual energy. Among them, Hei Long was a dragon born from chaos, inherently violent and the most powerful. Gen Gu, the lord of the Immortal Clan, was wary of Hei Long's power and sought to eliminate him. Hei Long and Gen Gu fought for a hundred days, ultimately ending with the death of Gen Gu and all of the ancient Immortal Clan.
In this great battle, Hei Long's lover, Bai Long, died in combat. Hei Long was filled with immense grief and rage. To rule the Three Realms, Hei Long declared himself the Divine King, sealed the Xuanhuang Wasteland as the Divine Domain, and created the new Immortal Clan. In the hundred thousand years that followed, the Demon Clan was sealed underground by Hei Long, falling into eternal night and suffering from the pain of Petrification Sickness for generations.
Additionally, some Immortal Clan members who were dissatisfied with Hei Long rebelled against the Divine Domain, establishing the Shenyin Clan and surviving in the Human Realm in reclusion. The Sea Spirit Clan was enslaved by the Immortal Clan, becoming permanent gatekeepers on the sea of the Divine Domain. The Human race was ordered by Hei Long to mine blood stones for generations to offer to the Immortal Clan, suffering brutal ravages and humiliation.
From then on, under Hei Long's rule, all races in the Three Realms endured immense suffering and widespread lamentation. A hundred thousand years later, a Divine Envoy Xuancha came to the state of Xin to deliver a divine oracle, demanding that King Xin commit ten times the manpower to the North Mountain mine to extract blood stones.
At the same time, King Xin, unable to tolerate the oppression of the Immortal Clan and worried about the lives of his people, resolutely refused. However, he did not expect the Divine Envoy to order King Xin to attack the state of Bo and enslave its people. King Xin burned the divine oracle in a single blaze, no longer willing to be bullied by the Immortal Clan. The Divine Envoy was furious and moved to punish the state of Xin.
Prince Wu Geng of Xin directly struck and killed the divine beast brought by the Divine Envoy. The Immortal Clan used this as a pretext to launch a large-scale attack on the state of Xin, resulting in heavy casualties among the soldiers of Xin. General Mo was dissatisfied with King Xin declaring war on the Immortal Clan and wanted to assassinate King Xin to appease the Immortal Clan's anger.
King Xin persuaded General Mo to fight against the Immortal Clan for the sake of the people of Xin, but unexpectedly, General Mo remained stubborn and was ultimately killed in front of King Xin. Wu Geng volunteered to go to the battlefield to fight the enemy but was refused by King Xin. King Xin asked him to receive the refugees and be responsible for their welfare.
King Xin told Wu Geng that although his father had told others that the Human race was born to serve the Immortal Clan, he believed that people's fate was in their own hands. He didn't want to accept his fate, which is why he resisted the Immortal Clan. The next day, the young girl Bai Cai brought the slave A Gou to the city to sell medicinal herbs.
Unexpectedly, the two were jostled by citizens scrambling for food in the city, overturning their basket of herbs, causing the herbs to be trampled. The herbal shop was only willing to buy the medicinal herbs from Bai Cai at a low price. Seeing the injuries on A Gou's hand from being stepped on, Bai Cai could only bear the pain and sell the herbs in her hands at a low price.
Bai Cai treated the wound on A Gou's hand and then took him to buy food. However, the owner of the food store had raised prices due to the war, and the money Bai Cai had could only buy half a bag of grain. Wu Geng brought men to inspect the grain market. Bai Cai unexpectedly discovered that His Highness the Prince actually resembled A Gou in his features.
Taking advantage of His Highness the Prince's presence, Bai Cai deliberately declared publicly that the owner of this food store was a great philanthropist, selling a bag of grain for only one Bei. The store owner could not deny this in front of Wu Geng and could only reluctantly sell the grain. After Bai Cai bought four bags of grain, she prepared to leave with A Gou.
Unexpectedly, the food store sent people to intercept them and demand the return of the grain. The two sides began fighting, which was discovered by the patrolling Wu Geng. The food store falsely accused Bai Cai of using fake Bei to buy the grain. Bai Cai accused the food store of price gouging. Wu Geng ordered his men to take them all back for investigation. A Gou seized the opportunity to push away the officers and leave with Bai Cai.
Bai Cai persuaded A Gou to take the grain home first, while she took the opportunity to distract Wu Geng. Wu Geng had already caught Bai Cai and was planning to take her back for investigation, but at this moment, he received a telepathic message from his mother and had to return to the palace promptly. Wu Geng's mother, Xin Yuehu, told her son that he could not defeat the enemy alone.
In addition to having a sharp mind and indomitable courage, he needed to have a kind heart that loved the world and loved the people. Only by learning to love the people would they fight alongside him to protect the state of Xin. Wu Geng did not understand why his mother told him these things, but Xin Yuehu did not offer further explanation. King Xin decided to lead the army himself for the sake of the people and Wu Geng.
Xin Yuehu was not afraid of the hardships to come, but her heart was uneasy about her son, Wu Geng. Wu Geng investigated and confirmed that the food store owner had engaged in price gouging, and ordered him to be decapitated and his head displayed to the public. At the same time, the Immortal Clan led troops to attack the gates of the state of Xin.
King Bo Zhou Fa and Zhou Qiao, under the orders of the Immortal Clan, charged into the state of Xin. King Xin led his troops out of the city to meet the challenge. Wu Geng wanted to follow his father out of the city to fight, but Wu Geng believed that as the Prince of Xin, he had a responsibility to go out and meet the challenge. Finally, King Xin agreed to let Wu Geng go out to battle. Due to the war, the people were in a panic, and Bai Cai and A Gou were also accidentally separated.
Episode 2 Recap
The Six Great Gods led soldiers to the city gates. Wu Geng requested to fight the enemy alongside King Xin. The common people were moved and also joined in. Bai Cai and A Gou were separated by the crowd. Great God Gui Mu massacred many Xin soldiers. He was met by the arriving King Xin who cut off one of his arms. Gods and humans alike were shocked.
Gui Mu was furious and fought King Xin but had another leg cut off. Just as King Xin was about to finish off Gui Mu, he was struck flying by Great God Tian Kui. A Gou received guidance and ran towards the Star-Picking Tower. Finally, he fainted below the Star-Picking Tower. At the same time, King Xin and Tian Kui fought, evenly matched.
The gods could not believe that a mere mortal could contend with Tian Kui's Vajra Realm divine power. Tai Ji attacked, wanting to kill Wu Geng. Xin Yuehu appeared in time to protect him. Because Xin Yuehu used her divine power, Xin Yuekui also sensed Xin Yuehu's location. Wu Geng asked his mother why she possessed divine power. He also didn't understand why his father could fight against the Immortal Clan.
Xin Yuehu explained that King Xin's battle armor contained the spirit of the immortal phoenix. She had been hiding from the Immortal Clan's pursuit for so many years. Not telling Wu Geng her identity was also to protect him. Hei Long discovered the extraordinary power on King Xin. He personally came to the state of Xin. Due to Hei Long's arrival, mortals could not withstand the pressure of his Formless Realm divine power.
Xin Yuehu used her divine power to protect Wu Geng. King Xin refused to admit that they, mortals, were slaves. He further believed that even without the Immortal Clan, all things could still cycle. Where there is love, there is strength. King Xin fought Hei Long with all his might. The Immortal Clan once had a prophecy that a human war god would appear and defeat Hei Long. But Hei Long did not believe the prophecy.
He believed that as long as he was here, humans could only be slaves to the Immortal Clan. Although possessing the divine power of the immortal phoenix, King Xin was still no match for Hei Long's overwhelming power. Seeing his father severely wounded, Wu Geng desperately tried to break into the Formless Realm divine power to help him. In this moment of crisis, Wu Geng's uncle, Zi Yu, arrived to assist.
He broke through Hei Long's Formless Realm divine power by refining Qi. He and King Xin, brothers, joined forces to fight Hei Long. Shi Xing attacked him. The two were evenly matched. King Xin burned through his blood, fighting a desperate battle. He also successfully injured Hei Long. The enraged Hei Long instantly tore apart the armor imbued with the immortal phoenix's divine power, and struck King Xin heavily to the ground.
King Xin dragged his heavily injured body, forcing himself to stand up. Ultimately, he died standing before Hei Long. Seeing King Xin was dead, Hei Long left with peace of mind. Zi Yu was distracted by his brother's death in battle. Shi Xing attacked and knocked him unconscious and took him away. Xin Yuehu used her divine power to allow Wu Geng and King Xin to have a final farewell.
King Xin told his son that Wu Geng would be the one to end the war. Therefore, Wu Geng must have the courage to fight against the Immortal Clan, and must live on strongly. King Xin did not regret meeting Xin Yuehu in this life. Before parting, he pleaded with Xin Yuehu to protect their child well. Meanwhile, the soldiers of the state of Bo attacked the state of Xin, massacring the people of Xin.
Zhou Qiao led his men to the Star-Picking Tower, wanting to capture Xin Yuehu and Wu Geng alive. But unexpectedly, they were dealt with instantly by the arriving Xin Yuekui. Seeing the arrival of someone from the Immortal Clan, Zhou Qiao obediently surrendered. Xin Yuekui ordered Xin Yuehu to return to the Immortal Clan with her to accept punishment.
She also stated that although Wu Geng was the child of Xin Yuehu and a human, he was also a disgrace to the Immortal Clan. She then threatened her with Wu Geng's life. Seeing that Xin Yuekui was about to kill him, Xin Yuehu, enduring the pain, drew her sword and killed Wu Geng.
Episode 3 Recap
Wu Geng did not understand what he had done wrong for his mother to kill him with her own hands, but Xin Yuehu only told Wu Geng not to be afraid, and that she would always be with Wu Geng. Xin Yuehu told Xin Yuekui that the Immortal Clan had done many unrighteous deeds, and that one day the Immortal Clan's domain would be broken, hoping she could turn back to righteousness soon.
Wu Geng died in his mother's arms, and then Xin Yuehu immolated herself in front of Xin Yuekui. Bai Cai searched half the city before she found the fainted A Gou below the Star-Picking Tower, and she took A Gou home. Wu Geng saw his mother Xin Yuehu in a dream. Xin Yuehu told her son that her divine essence was exhausted and she could only say goodbye to her son through a dream.
Xin Yuehu told Wu Geng that she was originally an Immortal Clan priestess and could foresee future changes. Before Wu Geng was born, she had foreseen today's tribulation. She had extracted a wisp of Wu Geng's divine essence and raised it in the human world to help him survive today's tribulation. Now, Wu Geng's divine essence had returned to its place, restoring him to a complete body.
Her public assassination of Wu Geng was also to make Wu Geng disappear in the eyes of the world. From now on, there would be no Prince Wu Geng in the world, only the commoner A Gou. Wu Geng would also experience a new life through this identity and find his own path. The next day, Wu Geng woke up having transformed into A Gou.
Although he could not accept his current identity, thinking of his parents' dying wishes for him to live well, Wu Geng could only accept the identity of A Gou and live on to fulfill his parents' last wishes. Bai Cai was very happy to find that A Gou could actually speak. Bai Cai also brought A Gou's favorite persimmon cake for him to eat, but Wu Geng threw it away with great disdain, which made Bai Cai very angry.
Now that King Xin was dead, Wu Geng wanted to confront the Immortal Clan, which made Bai Cai scoff at his overestimation of his abilities. Bai Cai saw that Wu Geng wanted to go out and, to prevent him from having an episode and leaving, she directly knocked Wu Geng unconscious. Bai Cai and the children around thought that A Gou had a sickness in his head.
Although Wu Geng claimed he was Prince Wu Geng, they did not believe him at all. Finally, under Bai Cai's torment, Wu Geng could only admit that he was A Gou. Wu Geng escaped while Bai Cai was sound asleep. He secretly came to the city gate and found that the Grand Tutor who had defected to the State of Bo was displaying King Xin's body to the public and whipping it.
He personally witnessed Prince Zhou Qiao of the State of Bo whipping his father's body to warn the people. In his heart, he swore to return today's humiliation tenfold. The soldiers loyal to King Xin were unwilling to see King Xin suffer such humiliation. Wu Geng took the opportunity to join them and personally burned King Xin's body to send his father off for the last time.
General An ordered his soldiers to escort Wu Geng away and told him to live well. Under the cover of the escorts, Wu Geng successfully left with General An. Wu Geng brought General An to Bai Cai's house. He instructed General An that from today onwards he was just A Gou and not to expose his identity.
Wu Geng told General An that his mother had used a method to mislead others when he was born, allowing him to successfully survive. He originally wanted to take General An to a medical clinic for treatment, but General An did not want to expose his whereabouts. Wu Geng had to look for wound medicine at their residence. At this moment, Bai Cai handed the medicinal herbs to Wu Geng.
She had already discovered that Wu Geng had gone to avenge King Xin, so she did not question him about going out. A divine messenger came to convey the divine decree, demanding that the State of Bo submit a thousand boxes of Bloodstone every month. Because of the great battle, there were now insufficient personnel. The divine messenger ordered the State of Bo to amend its national laws to include unmarried and childless men and women in the conscription list.
To solve the problem of insufficient agricultural labor, the divine messenger also specially brought high-quality seeds from the Immortal Clan for the State of Bo to plant to reduce labor. Zhou Qiao brought a maid to a secret chamber and handed her over to Gui Mu to serve as nourishment, helping Gui Mu recover from the injuries sustained in the great battle.
Zhou Qiao thought of A Gou, who looked similar to Wu Geng, whom he had seen at the city gate. Suspicious, he ordered a widespread search in the city for anyone who resembled Wu Geng. Bai Cai took Wu Geng out fishing. Seeing that Wu Geng did not know how to fish at all, on the way back she deliberately cornered Wu Geng and asked about his identity. Wu Geng explained that he was A Gou and also said that after he was injured, he remembered past events and also learned about his childhood experiences.
Episode 4 Recap
Bai Cai found the jade pendant that had fallen from Wu Geng. She discovered this jade pendant belonged to King Xin and guessed that A Gou went to collect King Xin's body for the jade pendant. Bai Cai thought this jade pendant could support the several orphans in her family for several years, and she no longer doubted A Gou's identity.
Wu Geng asked for the jade pendant, but Bai Cai refused to return it, saying that he brought back an injured person, and eating and taking medicine all required money. For General An, Wu Geng could only temporarily endure. To help General An recover from his injuries quickly, Bai Cai specially cooked fish soup for him.
Although Wu Geng greatly disliked the gruel prepared by Bai Cai, thinking that his current identity was the commoner A Gou, he could only wolf down the gruel in his hand. Bai Cai felt unwell and in a dream in the middle of the night, she thought of the scene of her first meeting with A Gou.
At that time, young Bai Cai endured hunger and cold, and it was A Gou who appeared and gave her the food in his hand. From then on, the two depended on each other for survival. Wu Geng woke up and found Bai Cai groggy. The orphans at home told Wu Geng that whenever Bai Cai's old illness recurred in the past, A Gou would cure her. Wu Geng didn't understand how to treat illnesses.
He originally wanted to help Bai Cai find medicine, but Bai Cai couldn't hold on and fainted. Wu Geng hurriedly took Bai Cai to a medical clinic in the city to treat her illness. The doctor at the clinic said that treating Bai Cai's illness required a lot of money. After Bai Cai woke up and learned this, she said she didn't need the doctor's treatment.
Bai Cai said that previously, A Gou helped treat her illness, but the current A Gou was no longer the previous A Gou. Wu Geng could only explain that he had forgotten his past events. Soldiers on the street were conscripting labor to work in the mines. Wu Geng and Bai Cai hurriedly left the medical clinic, but they didn't expect to be intercepted by soldiers halfway there. Wu Geng learned that the law had been modified by Zhou Qiao.
Except for the elderly, weak, sick, and disabled, all other people with labor capacity had to go to the mine. Wu Geng attacked the soldiers and successfully chased them away. Bai Cai saw Wu Geng's skills and understood that he was truly not the original A Gou. On the way back home, Wu Geng and Bai Cai encountered a white tiger attack. Wu Geng told Bai Cai to run first, leaving him alone to deal with the white tiger.
Bai Cai was unwilling to abandon Wu Geng. She turned back to help and just happened to see the white tiger attacking Wu Geng. It turned out this white tiger was Zha Zha's mount. Zha Zha saw Wu Geng had good skills and ordered his subordinate soldiers to take the two away directly. General An secretly saw Wu Geng and Bai Cai being captured.
He originally wanted to take action to rescue the two, but Wu Geng signaled with his eyes for General An not to be impulsive. Afterwards, he left a letter telling General An to temporarily endure. The soldiers escorting Wu Geng and others took a liking to Bai Cai's beauty. Bai Cai noticed their gaze and deliberately leaned on Wu Geng, making others mistakenly think they were husband and wife.
Wu Geng noticed Bai Cai's intention and verbally threatened the officer not to eye his wife, otherwise he would use force against the other party. On the road, Wu Geng and Bai Cai met the slaves Xiao Shang and Shi Tou. From them, Wu Geng learned that they were heading to the Beishan Mine on this trip, and that anyone who entered the Beishan Mine would only see the light of day again upon death.
After Wu Geng and many commoners arrived at the mine, Chen Jing also came to the mine with his son Zha Zha. He instructed the conscripted commoners to work hard and dig for Bloodstone for the Immortal Clan. Some commoners were unwilling to be slaves for mining and were immediately beheaded by the soldiers on the spot. Under such threat, the captured commoners could only endure. All slaves who entered the mine had to be branded with a slave mark.
Wu Geng was unwilling to be branded. He publicly questioned all the commoners, asking if they were really going to be slaves of the Immortal Clan for a lifetime. These words caused dissatisfaction among the soldiers on the spot, and both sides started fighting. Bai Cai's Cold Poison acted up, and Wu Geng was also captured because he was worried about Bai Cai. Afterwards, he was left with the mark of being a slave on his body.
As soon as Wu Geng and everyone arrived at the mine, they were required to work. There was an officer at the mine who harassed Bai Cai. Wu Geng publicly told others that Bai Cai was his wife. Although the officer was dissatisfied in his heart, in order not to cause unrest, he could only let Bai Cai go. Wu Geng was worried that Bai Cai, whose Cold Poison was acting up, couldn't hold on.
He wanted to demand today's food for everyone, but Wu Geng's attitude caused the centurion to be dissatisfied, resulting in the slaves present having their food allowance halved today. Wu Geng's ability to change the current situation with force was limited, so he could only temporarily endure. The bell rang, signaling the slaves' mealtime. Everyone swarmed forward, scrambling for food. However, the food that Bai Cai and Shi Tou and others had finally managed to grab was deliberately knocked away by the officer.
Episode 5 Recap
The Centurion deliberately made things difficult for Bai Cai, Wu Geng, and others, using the insufficient amount of Bloodstone they collected as an excuse not to let them eat. Wu Geng knew the Centurion was deliberately making things difficult for everyone because of him. He said he could go without eating, but the people around him must eat. He also sarcastically called the Centurion the Immortal Clan's wagging-tailed dog, one who flatters superiors and bullies inferiors, begging like a dog.
The Centurion was enraged and ordered his subordinates to beat Wu Geng. Bai Cai was heartbroken for Wu Geng and shielded him with her body, resulting in her getting injured. To avoid implicating Bai Cai further, Wu Geng could only swallow his anger. When it was rest time, to avoid being secretly bullied, Bai Cai could only pull Wu Geng to rest with her. That night, officers who coveted Bai Cai secretly came to the two people's dwelling.
Wu Geng discovered their movements and immediately took action to teach them a lesson. At night, Bai Cai instructed Wu Geng not to provoke the Centurion again in the future. Now that they were on someone else's territory, if he confronted them head-on, he would only suffer. Bai Cai persuaded Wu Geng that only by surviving could there be hope.
Wu Geng thought of his parents' words before they died and decided to live well and find a way out for the future. The next day during mealtime, Wu Geng found a seriously ill old grandfather in the mine. He proactively gave the food he had snatched to the old grandfather to eat. The old grandfather refused Wu Geng's kindness, instead caring about Wu Geng's injuries from being beaten yesterday.
Wu Geng sighed, having met a caring companion in the mine. The old grandfather said he cared about Wu Geng because Wu Geng looked like a young man he knew years ago. It turned out that the young King Xin had also worked at the Beishan Mine before.
At that time, King Xin had also helped the old grandfather and also vowed in the mine that one day he would defeat the Immortal Clan and free the human race from suffering. The old grandfather also told Wu Geng that the young man he knew back then later escaped from the Beishan Mine. If he had the will, Wu Geng could also escape from this place. The old grandfather's illness flared up.
Wu Geng asked Bai Cai and the others to help take care of the old grandfather, and he went to find the Centurion to get a doctor. The old grandfather gave "Xiao Ling," a bird he had rescued from the mine tunnel years ago, to Bai Cai to take care of. The Centurion brought people to take the old grandfather away.
Wu Geng was worried about the old grandfather and secretly followed them, only to find that the Centurion ordered people to directly throw the seriously ill old grandfather off the suspension bridge. Wu Geng accused the Centurion of openly murdering someone, but was ordered by the Centurion to be surrounded and beaten. Wu Geng took the opportunity to hang the Centurion below the suspension bridge as a threat, which finally made the Centurion fully admit his mistake.
Wu Geng told Bai Cai, Shi Tou, and the others about the old grandfather being thrown off the suspension bridge. Everyone realized that there was no doctor in the mine at all, and none of the slaves could afford to get sick. The next day, Bai Cai's Cold Poison acted up. Wu Geng realized it was because Bai Cai was beaten while protecting him that her Cold Poison flared up.
He quietly asked the slaves in the mine tunnel if there was a doctor. The Centurion discovered that Wu Geng and Bai Cai had not collected Bloodstone and questioned Xiao Shang and Shi Tou. Another slave told him that Bai Cai was sick and the two had not gone to work today. The Centurion brought people over, wanting to throw the sick Bai Cai into the rocky pit to fend for herself.
Wu Geng carried Bai Cai on his back and fled in the mine tunnel. The two escaped into a cave entrance, which surprisingly managed to conceal their figures, allowing them to avoid being found by the Centurion's search. Just as Wu Geng didn't know how to treat Bai Cai, the old grandfather who had been thrown off the suspension bridge earlier appeared before them. Wu Geng only wanted to save Bai Cai's life.
He agreed to do anything he was asked. The old grandfather gave the medicine in his hand to Wu Geng, telling Bai Cai to take one pill a day. The old grandfather hadn't expected that the dignified Prince Wu Geng would lower himself to beg for the sake of a slave. Sensing that his identity had been exposed, he asked the other party's identity.
The old grandfather did not reveal his identity but only told Wu Geng that he had come for him and that years ago, King Xin had also lived and eaten with the slaves in the mine tunnel, promising to fight for the freedom of the human race.
The old grandfather told Wu Geng to stay in the mine tunnel and be a qualified slave, because without experiencing the suffering of the human world, how could he understand what true righteousness was. The old grandfather gave the Wonton Fire to Wu Geng as a meeting gift and then immediately disappeared. The Centurion made things difficult for Xiao Shang and Shi Tou because Wu Geng and Bai Cai had escaped. Wu Geng and Bai Cai appeared before them.
The Centurion threatened the two to make up for today's Bloodstone amount, otherwise he wouldn't let them off. Wu Geng told Bai Cai to rest first and that he would help her dig enough Bloodstone. Xiao Shang and Shi Tou voluntarily stayed to help. After resting, Bai Cai also came to help. Although she didn't have the strength to work now, she successfully found where the Bloodstone was located using her ability.
Everyone was very surprised by Bai Cai's ability to find Bloodstone. In the following days, the four cooperated with each other to collect Bloodstone, and the days passed by. The slave who had previously snatched Wu Geng's food got sick, so his Bloodstone collection for that day was insufficient. Wu Geng proactively shared the extra Bloodstone he had collected with the other party, which saved this person from being harassed by the Centurion.
Episode 6 Recap
Bai Cai boiled the processed morning glory seeds into water and asked Wu Geng to deliver the water to the coughing slave, because this water could treat coughs. The slave A De apologized for previously snatching Wu Geng's food. Wu Geng said that as long as he didn't snatch things from others in the future, he would let bygones be bygones. A De was very grateful to Wu Geng for treating him this way.
Wu Geng gave the remaining morning glory seeds to A De and told him to take them back to boil water and treat his cough. Winter arrived, and suddenly heavy snow fell. Wu Geng looked at the snowman Bai Cai had built and thought of the time he spent with his parents. Afterward, Wu Geng heard the slaves in the mine talking about their families.
He encouraged everyone to cheer up and said that everyone would definitely have a chance to leave this place in the future. Bai Cai also persuaded everyone to hold onto hope, and that one day they would be able to stand together in the sunlight. To help everyone cheer up, Bai Cai led everyone in dancing, allowing them to remember some happy things.
Chen Jing saw the slaves in the mine dancing and singing and thought that with the current cold weather, he should ask the Centurion to provide the slaves with animal hides for warmth, lest someone freeze to death from the cold and delay the Bloodstone mining schedule. The Centurion did not provide the slaves with additional animal hides for warmth, but only told everyone that he had争取d (争取 - fought for/gained) them the benefit of extra meals.
However, because the meals were limited, he made the slaves fight over them. Wu Geng couldn't stand the Centurion teasing everyone, but for the sake of Bai Cai and everyone else, he could only suppress his anger. Wu Geng proactively snatched a portion of the meal to give to Bai Cai, but the Centurion mocked Wu Geng for this. Bai Cai saw Wu Geng enduring such humiliation and felt heartbroken by his change.
Wu Geng brought the snatched meat to Bai Cai to eat. Bai Cai thought of the scene where Wu Geng endured to snatch the meat and was moved to tears. Bai Cai knew that the A Gou in front of her had changed a lot since waking up in Xin City. She asked Wu Geng if he was really A Gou. Wu Geng didn't know how to explain to Bai Cai, only saying that he had his difficulties.
For Bai Cai and A Gou, they were each the person the other wanted to protect. Bai Cai also understood that no matter what A Gou became in the future, he would always be her A Gou. Wu Geng wanted to take Bai Cai away from here. He told Bai Cai, Xiao Shang, and Shi Tou about his idea of digging a tunnel to escape.
Wu Geng knew this matter was very risky, but in order to control his own destiny, he decided to take a gamble. In the following days, Wu Geng led everyone to work hard and also maintained a good attitude in front of the Centurion. Secretly, the few of them cooperated to dig the escape tunnel. Shi Tou wanted to be a cook after getting out, while Xiao Shang wanted to achieve fame and success.
The Centurion secretly overheard Wu Geng and others secretly digging a tunnel to escape and secretly reported this news to Chen Jing. Chen Jing ordered people to bring Wu Geng and others to question them about this. However, Wu Geng stated that they accelerated the mining of ore to repay the grace of the Immortal Clan and had no intention of escaping at all.
Wu Geng also took the opportunity to tell Chen Jing that the Centurion didn't even prepare enough food and didn't distribute animal hides for winter. Wu Geng stated that the Centurion wanted to take all the credit for himself, which was why he fabricated lies to slander them about wanting to escape. Subsequently, Chen Jing sent people to investigate and found that there was indeed a newly dug pit, but it was for storing Bloodstone.
It turned out that Wu Geng and others had intentionally let the Centurion discover them digging the tunnel, also hoping to use the opportunity to bring down the Centurion in front of Chen Jing. Chen Jing heard the two presenting conflicting accounts and ordered the two to fight the Bigfoot, stating that whoever survived would be the Centurion. To gain a chance to survive, Wu Geng agreed to the fight. Wu Geng and the Centurion came to the arena.
Wu Geng stated that both of them were the Bigfoot's prey and should help each other. The Bigfoot was very powerful and killed the Centurion in one blow. Wu Geng, being a mortal body, was also unable to avoid being injured. Wu Geng then seized the opportunity to attack, borrowing the power of the Wonton Fire, and successfully injured the Bigfoot, winning the match. Bai Cai was very happy that Wu Geng won the victory and rushed excitedly in front of Wu Geng and kissed him.
Episode 7 Recap
Because Wu Geng defeated the Bigfoot, all the slaves were very happy. Everyone was pleased to see Wu Geng become the new Centurion. Wu Geng requested that the reward be changed to transforming everyone's work time to six shichen per day, with one day of rest every ten days of labor. If anyone fell ill, a doctor should be called to help treat them.
Chen Jing did not want to go back on his word in front of his son Zhazha, so he could only agree to Wu Geng's request. Wu Geng's idea of sharing blessings and facing difficulties together made him even more supported by the slaves. Wu Geng visited the injured Bigfoot late at night, bringing him medicine for his injuries.
Wu Geng told the Bigfoot that everyone was living a life of exploitation and slavery, but life should not be trampled upon. This act of Wu Geng's changed the Bigfoot's view of him. Wu Geng abolished all the previous rules. He vowed to lead by example and advance and retreat together with everyone.
Wu Geng also improved everyone's food, allowing them to queue in an orderly manner to receive it, ensuring that all the old, weak, women, and children had food to eat. There was a slave in the mine who was injured by the Bigfoot. Wu Geng heard that the mine would send slaves they didn't like to the beast arena to fight beasts, so he went to the arena to check.
The officials were beating the Bigfoot, forcing him to fight with the slaves. The Bigfoot, unable to bear it any longer, injured a slave. Wu Geng stepped forward and stopped the Bigfoot, and also told the officials and others that if the Bigfoot injured a slave and delayed the Bloodstone mining time, Lord Chen Jing would blame them, and they would not be able to handle it. Under Wu Geng's threat, these officials ceased their actions and left.
Wu Geng saw that the Bigfoot's meals were being withheld, so he brought him food late at night. He told the Bigfoot not to hurt others for food again, and thus he would not be exploited because of food. To take care of the old, weak, sick, and disabled, Wu Geng grouped the slaves for labor, stipulating that they could rest as long as they completed their workload for the day. Everyone was very grateful for Wu Geng's decision.
Wu Geng unexpectedly discovered that Chen Jing's Qi cultivation was very powerful and did not understand why he still stayed in this sunless mine. Chen Jing discovered Wu Geng secretly watching him cultivate Qi and warned him to avoid doing so in the future if he saw him cultivating Qi. Wu Geng inventoried the mining tools that needed to be replaced in the mine and requested tool replacement from Chen Jing. Chen Jing agreed to his request.
Day after day, Wu Geng gradually adapted to life in the mine. He also learned resilience and compassion from Bai Cai, and he gradually found his own path. Four years later, Zhou Qiao brought his foster father Gui Mu to the North Mountain Mine. Chen Jing and Gui Mu exchanged sarcastic remarks upon meeting. It turned out that Chen Jing had previously been the dethroned king of the State of Wan Qu.
Over the years, Zhou Qiao had found suitable young men and women for Gui Mu to consume, which allowed his heavily injured body to recover. Gui Mu, in gratitude, took him as a foster son. Now, Zhou Qiao wanted to learn some skills to be used by the Immortal Clan, but being a mortal, he could not cultivate Immortal arts. Gui Mu asked Chen Jing to teach Zhou Qiao Qi cultivation techniques.
Although Chen Jing politely refused, citing that Qi practitioners needed to have a compatible physique, Zhou Qiao still insisted on trying to cultivate first. Thus, Chen Jing had no choice but to agree to teach Qi cultivation techniques. Chen Jing stated that a man-eating monster had appeared in the mine today, having already eaten nearly a hundred people, and he could not focus on teaching Zhou Qiao Qi cultivation techniques, and hoped they could understand.
Chen Jing took Gui Mu and Zhou Qiao to visit the mine shafts, and specifically asked Wu Geng to come and meet the two of them. To prevent the two from recognizing him, Wu Geng deliberately dirtied his face.
Episode 8 Recap
Zhou Qiao noticed that the A Gou introduced by Chen Jing looked overly familiar. He remembered that A Gou had once burned King Xin's corpse with the remnants of the Xin Kingdom, and at that time, he felt A Gou resembled Wu Geng. For so many years, he had sent people but had never found him. Chen Jing immediately asserted that A Gou was absolutely not Wu Geng, the prince of the Xin Kingdom.
Zhou Qiao was unwilling to let this person go, so Wu Geng had no choice but to admit his "mistake", stating that he had burned King Xin's corpse back then to earn money from the dead. He was willing to stay in the mine for the rest of his life to mine ores for the Immortal Clan as atonement. Under Chen Jing's persuasion, Zhou Qiao finally agreed to spare A Gou.
Wu Geng told everyone that a man-eating monster had appeared in the mine a month ago. Now, everyone in the mine was in a state of panic and did not dare to go out alone. Zhou Qiao stated that he would be learning Qi cultivation techniques in the mine. He volunteered to stay in the mine to investigate the man-eating monster. Chen Jing dispatched Wu Geng to assist Zhou Qiao in investigating this matter.
After Zhou Qiao and Gui Mu left, Chen Jing warned Wu Geng that no matter what he had done outside, now that he was in the North Mountain Mine, he was a slave of the mine, and therefore must fulfill his duty as a slave. Chen Jing only wanted to spend the rest of his life peacefully with his son Zhazha. If anyone disrupted this life, he would not show mercy.
Chen Jing instructed Wu Geng not to offend Zhou Qiao, and furthermore, to remind the young men and women in the mine to avoid the great Gui Mu. Zhou Qiao had originally intended to bring people to search for medicinal herbs for Gui Mu in the mine, but unexpectedly saw the man-eating monster active in the mine. He led people to hunt and kill the man-eating monster but was instead mocked by it.
It turned out that this "man-eating monster" was disguised by Wu Geng, solely to get revenge for being put in a difficult position by Zhou Qiao today. It turned out that the reason Wu Geng had been impersonating the man-eating monster during this period was to use the opportunity to gradually send the slaves in the mine out of the North Mountain Mine, and they had already successfully sent out over a hundred people.
Now that the Immortal Clan people had arrived, Wu Geng knew their trick could not continue to deceive people. To avoid further complications, Wu Geng had Bai Cai, Xiao Shang, and Shi Tou leave overnight. He wanted to stay behind to disrupt the mine so that the people of the Immortal Clan would not bother with the matter of everyone's disappearance. In order to deceive Chen Jing, Wu Geng had Bai Cai stab him.
He came before Chen Jing and stated that he had seen the man-eating monster, and the man-eating monster wanted Chen Jing to close the mine, otherwise, the mine would never have peace. Chen Jing thought about the frequent appearance of the man-eating monster today and speculated that it was related to Gui Mu. Zhazha came pestering Chen Jing about going to catch the man-eating monster.
From Zhazha's words, Wu Geng learned that Zhou Qiao came to the North Mountain Mine to learn Qi cultivation. Chen Jing was worried that Gui Mu would harm his beloved son, so he instructed Zhazha to be sure to hide from Gui Mu. Gui Mu had not consumed any supplements for several consecutive days. Just then, he happened to see Bai Cai's figure and told Zhou Qiao to bring Bai Cai to him for consumption.
Bai Cai treated Wu Geng's wound and felt even more distressed that Wu Geng had harmed himself because of this. Bai Cai solemnly warned Wu Geng not to risk his life in the future when doing things. She gave Wu Geng a heart-protecting stone she had personally polished, hoping it would protect him. Wu Geng, disguised as the man-eating monster, captured Zhazha, who had gone hunting in the mountains. Upon learning this, Chen Jing was burning with anxiety.
Wu Geng knew that Chen Jing could not leave North Mountain due to an Immortal Clan forbidden technique. So, he kidnapped Zhazha outside of North Mountain. Taking this opportunity, Wu Geng gave Zhazha a good lesson and made Zhazha promise to treat slaves kindly in the future. In order to find his beloved son Zhazha, Chen Jing sealed off the mine to search for him.
While Chen Jing was sealing off the mine, Zhou Qiao ordered his men to take Bai Cai away. Zhou Qiao had originally intended to question Bai Cai about whether A Gou was Wu Geng. Bai Cai stated that A Gou was an orphan and that they had been together since childhood.
Zhou Qiao also told Bai Cai that Wu Geng was the son of King Xin, but Bai Cai only explained that A Gou burned King Xin's corpse that day merely for greed. Seeing that he could not get the truth he wanted from Bai Cai, Zhou Qiao knocked Bai Cai unconscious and ordered his men to send her to the secret chamber for Gui Mu to consume.
Wu Geng told the slaves who were sealed in the mine tunnel that the man-eating monster these past few days was him in disguise. He used this method to successfully let many slaves escape. Afterward, Wu Geng, along with Xiao Shang, Shi Tou, and others, led the slaves one by one towards the mine tunnel where the secret passage was located. Bai Cai woke up in front of Gui Mu.
Gui Mu saw that Bai Cai was not afraid of him and praised her courage. Ade told Wu Geng that Bai Cai had been taken away by the prince of the State of Bi. After learning this, Wu Geng hurried back to the mine. Gui Mu had originally intended to kill Bai Cai but unexpectedly discovered the cold poison in her body. He interrogated Bai Cai about what kind of magic she possessed.
At the critical moment, Wu Geng arrived to rescue Bai Cai, led by a small spirit bird. He broke through the door and successfully found Bai Cai. Upon seeing Wu Geng, Bai Cai fiercely cursed Gui Mu, calling him a beast worse than a pig or dog. She said that as a member of the Immortal Clan, he was going mad and eating people. Wu Geng had originally wanted Bai Cai to find an opportunity to leave, but Bai Cai decided to stay and advance and retreat together with Wu Geng.
Episode 9 Recap
Wu Geng used the Fire of Chaos to deal with Gui Mu, but he was quickly injured by Gui Mu. However, he was always unwilling to submit to Gui Mu's divine power. Instead, he seized the opportunity to mock the scene when Gui Mu was defeated and tortured by King Xin back then.
Taking advantage of the moment when Gui Mu was going mad, Wu Geng used the Fire of Chaos to blow up the cave entrance, and seized the chance to escape with Bai Cai. But the two were soon caught up by Gui Mu. At this moment, Chen Jing learned that Gui Mu was eating live people in the secret chamber, and mistakenly thought that his son Zhazha had died at Gui Mu's hands, so he came to question Gui Mu.
Gui Mu accused Chen Jing of raising two traitors. Bai Cai seized the opportunity to explain how she was captured today to heal Gui Mu. In order to provoke Chen Jing, Wu Geng deliberately told Chen Jing that Gui Mu had already eaten Zhazha. This made Chen Jing furiously question Gui Mu, and then he found the red bead necklace that his son Zhazha carried with him on Gui Mu's body.
Chen Jing, unable to bear the Immortal Clan any longer, attacked Gui Mu. Zhou Qiao rushed over and told Chen Jing that he knew Zhazha's whereabouts, and also told Chen Jing that they had all been deceived by A Gou. There was a tunnel in the mine that led directly to the outside world. He guessed that A Gou used the tunnel to let the slaves escape, and further used Zhazha to sow discord.
Chen Jing, anxious to save his son, hurriedly went to look for Wu Geng and Bai Cai, who had secretly left. Wu Geng and Bai Cai were quickly intercepted by Chen Jing and his men. Although Wu Geng told Chen Jing that Zhazha was still alive, because Wu Geng had crossed Chen Jing's bottom line, Chen Jing intended to kill him. Zhou Qiao wanted to torture Bai Cai to force Wu Geng to reveal Zhazha's location.
In order not to implicate Wu Geng, Bai Cai verbally abused and provoked Zhou Qiao, but unexpectedly, Zhou Qiao, angered, directly wanted to kill Wu Geng. At the critical moment, the Bigfoot appeared and saved the two. To allow Wu Geng and Bai Cai to successfully leave, the Bigfoot blocked Zhou Qiao and others from pursuing them, and was finally killed in front of Wu Geng. Wu Geng, having lost his friend, severely beat Zhou Qiao.
Gui Mu rushed over to deal with Wu Geng. Seeing that Wu Geng was in danger, Fu Xi arrived to rescue him. It turned out that the old man who had saved Wu Geng many times before was once the High Priest of the Divine Realm. Fu Xi betrayed the Immortal Clan because Hei Long acted against the natural order. Fu Xi directly sent Wu Geng and Bai Cai away. Wu Geng and Bai Cai were celebrating their regained freedom.
Just then, A Lan, entrusted by Fu Xi, came to pick up Wu Geng and Bai Cai. After dealing with Gui Mu, Fu Xi also rushed to meet up with Wu Geng and the others. Fu Xi was very pleased with Wu Geng's growth in the mine, and asked him what his plans were after leaving the mine. Wu Geng wanted to become powerful enough to contend with Hei Long.
Fu Xi asked him if he was willing to join the Shenyin Clan to cultivate. Wu Geng asked about Fu Xi's true identity. Fu Xi said that he was indeed a member of the Immortal Clan before, but because he could not stand Hei Long's actions, he and some like-minded people rebelled against the Immortal Clan and founded the Shenyin Clan, and he is now the High Priest of the Immortal Clan.
Fu Xi told Wu Geng that if he chose this path, he would face the most powerful enemies in the future, face countless dangers, and might even lose his life. Although Wu Geng could choose to live in seclusion in the human world with Bai Cai, he did not want more people to be bullied by the Immortal Clan. He finally decided to join the Shenyin Clan to cultivate.
Bai Cai wanted to be with Wu Geng and also agreed to join the Shenyin Clan. Fu Xi removed the slave marks on their bodies. Chen Jing was grieving alone because he had lost his son. At this moment, Zhazha returned from outside. The father and son met and cried, embracing each other. After this incident, Zhazha learned many things from A Gou and also realized that he had not been filial enough to his father before.
Chen Jing did not expect that his always mischievous son could also be convinced by A Gou, and sighed in his heart that he had underestimated this person before. Fu Xi took Wu Geng and Bai Cai to learn about the Shenyin Clan and arranged accommodation for them. Bai Cai unexpectedly saw something in Fu Xi's residence that resembled an item from the person who killed her parents years ago.
Episode 10 Recap
Fu Xi introduced the Shenyin Clan's clan leader, Kong Que, to Wu Geng and Bai Cai. Clan Leader Kong Que arranged a bonfire party specifically to welcome the two. Gui Mu believed that Fu Xi didn't hesitate to expose his whereabouts just to rescue A Gou. If A Gou was Xin Yuehu's son, then it made sense.
Gui Mu didn't care about the Fire of Chaos given to Wu Geng by Fu Xi, but instead cared about the ancient divine power within Bai Cai. He thought of the ancient crystal that the Immortal King had been searching for throughout the Three Realms, which was said to be an extremely Yin item, extremely cold. He guessed that the divine power in Bai Cai was related to the crystal.
Fu Xi introduced Yun Zhongzi and Yuan Yi to Wu Geng and Bai Cai, and also arranged for A Lan to be responsible for Wu Geng's cultivation in the future. Zi Dian liked A Lan and was unwilling to let A Lan teach Wu Geng, thinking that a junior from the village could teach a human. Zi Dian called over a junior to compete with Wu Geng.
Wu Geng underestimated the junior's ability, and as a result, was immediately taught a lesson. Bai Cai saw that even a small child in the village could bully Wu Geng. She wanted to leave this place with Wu Geng, but Wu Geng wanted to learn skills before leaving. Bai Cai could only tell Wu Geng to protect himself and not get hurt again.
A Lan came to apologize to Wu Geng for Zi Dian's rudeness, and also told Wu Geng not to take today's match to heart. A Lan told Wu Geng that the Immortal Clan is divided into New Immortals and Old Immortals. The Immortal Clan of Shenyin Village and the Immortals of the Divine Realm are the New Immortal Clan created by Hei Long, whose lifespan is only a few hundred years.
Although divine power is innate, it requires divine revelation to be used. The Old Immortals, represented by Hei Long, originated from the time of creation, with lifespans often reaching hundreds of thousands of years. Their divine power is innate. One hundred thousand years ago, a great war broke out in the Divine Realm. Hei Long, relying on his own strength, killed all the ancient Immortals.
After that, he rebuilt the Three Realms and created the New Immortal Clan, becoming the supreme lord of the Three Realms. Wu Geng came to find Fu Xi alone and asked if Fu Xi knew his mother, Xin Yuehu. Fu Xi said that Xin Yuehu, like Gui Mu, was also his student, and like himself, cultivated the divine power of the Void Consciousness realm.
She was also the most talented student he had ever seen, and the kindest Immortal in the Divine Realm. Wu Geng knew that the High Priests of the Divine Realm could see the future. He asked Fu Xi if he had seen the future in him, but Fu Xi did not answer this question, just hastily sent him away. The next day, Wu Geng began cultivating with Yun Zhongzi.
Bai Cai felt pained seeing Wu Geng being beaten and wanted to stop it, but A Lan stopped Bai Cai. Wu Geng was beaten unconscious. A Lan treated his injuries. Bai Cai didn't understand what A Lan was doing. A Lan explained that this was the Immortal Clan's training method and the only way to become stronger.
Bai Cai believed the Immortal Clan had ill intentions towards them and wanted to leave with Wu Geng, but A Lan took Wu Geng away midway and directly sent Bai Cai away using divine power. After Wu Geng woke up and learned that Bai Cai had left, he was worried about her safety and hurried to find her. Wu Geng found Bai Cai by the lake. Bai Cai wanted Wu Geng to leave with her.
Wu Geng didn't mind if the Shenyin Clan used him for whatever purpose. He just wanted to quickly learn some skills to rescue more people. Even if they used him to fight Hei Long, it was exactly what Wu Geng wished for. In the following days, Wu Geng cultivated with Yun Zhongzi and gradually became stronger. Later, A Lan taught Wu Geng how to refine Qi, because only by mastering Qi refinement could he truly control the Fire of Chaos.
Zi Dian saw A Lan teaching Wu Geng and became even more dissatisfied with Wu Geng due to jealousy. He found A Lan to voice his dissatisfaction, but A Lan warned Zi Dian not to monitor the two anymore in the future, or she would report him to the clan leader and the High Priest for disrupting training.
Fu Xi saw Wu Geng practicing and praised his rapid progress, but Wu Geng still felt his improvement speed was not fast enough. Fu Xi told Wu Geng to fight him with all his might. During this process, Fu Xi saw that Wu Geng's heart was too restless, and restlessness was a great taboo when facing an enemy. He told Wu Geng that although speed was important, in the face of absolute power, all techniques would become useless.
Wu Geng's restless state of mind would only make his power like a castle in the air, without foundation, collapsing at a touch. Wu Geng couldn't forget that his true enemy was Hei Long. He hated that his current ability was insufficient to avenge his parents, but he swore that one day in the future, he would make Hei Long understand that humans were not to be underestimated either.
Fu Xi was very pleased that Wu Geng had such fighting spirit and also believed that one day in the future Wu Geng could achieve his wish. But Fu Xi told Wu Geng that besides constantly improving his ability, he also had to learn to wait. Because time could not only strengthen his power but also make his heart stronger. In the past one hundred thousand years, Hei Long had no opponent.
Wu Geng could only improve his ability through continuous practice, and at the same time, he needed to win the support of more people. Only in this way could he gradually reach Hei Long. Wu Geng understood Fu Xi's meaning and also said that no matter how long it took, he would not give up.
Episode 11 Recap
Fu Xi told Wu Geng that there was a kind of Black Heart Grass by the river outside the Shenyin Clan that was very effective for healing, and asked him to go check it out tomorrow. The next day, Wu Geng went to the riverbank to look for the healing Black Heart Grass, and unexpectedly saw A Lan bathing by the river. A Lan sensed someone approaching and asked.
Wu Geng originally wanted to step forward to explain, but unexpectedly found that Zi Dian was also here. Zi Dian just wanted to see A Lan. He told A Lan that he had always loved her deeply. Seeing A Lan refuse to talk to him, Zi Dian restrained A Lan and intended to kiss her. Wu Geng could not just watch A Lan being molested. He stepped forward to interrupt Zi Dian's actions.
Zi Dian became enraged and attacked Wu Geng, even wanting to take the opportunity to kill Wu Geng. Seeing Wu Geng injured and unable to defeat Zi Dian, A Lan disregarded the depletion of her divine essence and broke free from the paralysis to stop Zi Dian, which finally made Zi Dian withdraw his hand.
A Lan invited the clan leader Kong Que to heal Wu Geng, but Wu Geng's heart meridian was severely damaged, and it was temporarily difficult to recover with just magic and medicine. A Lan concealed the fact that Wu Geng was injured by Zi Dian, only explaining that Wu Geng was injured during training. Wu Geng asked A Lan why she protected Zi Dian.
A Lan explained that Zi Dian was a good friend of her brother, and her brother was a general in the Immortal Clan. Because he offended Xin Yuekui, he was framed for treason, and Hei Long ordered their whole family executed. It was Zi Dian who appeared and rescued her, and took her to defect from the Divine Realm. A Lan believed that Zi Dian also had his own difficulties.
She instructed Wu Geng not to be an enemy of Zi Dian in the future, and she would also try to make Zi Dian understand that Wu Geng was not an enemy. Bai Cai came to question A Lan after learning of Wu Geng's injuries, but A Lan said that this path was chosen by Wu Geng. However, Bai Cai believed that A Lan and the others did not value Wu Geng's life.
They were training Wu Geng to deal with Hei Long, but they didn't care about Wu Geng's future life or death at all. It was not about all beings being equal in the slightest. Bai Cai felt pained by Wu Geng's injuries and went to find Fu Xi for medicine. Bai Cai came seeking medicine, but Fu Xi knew about Wu Geng's injury.
He also believed that Kong Que's divine power was more effective than his own miracle elixir, and he told Bai Cai not to worry. Bai Cai asked about the oracle bones at Fu Xi's residence. She carefully observed the oracle bones and found that they were the items she had seen in her childhood. Bai Cai learned from Fu Xi that the oracle bones could not only predict the future but also predict the location of people with special abilities.
To heal Wu Geng's injuries, Bai Cai specially prepared delicious food for Yun Zhongzi to taste. She asked Yun Zhongzi about the source of the divine medicine in his wine. Yun Zhongzi told Bai Cai that a spirit flower sacred medicine called Youhan Chixin Lotus grew on Haoyu Mountain. This lotus could cure all diseases. Bai Cai persuaded Yun Zhongzi to take her to Haoyu Mountain to see this spirit flower sacred medicine.
Bai Cai knew that the Youhan Chixin Lotus required blood to be picked. She nourished this lotus with her fresh blood and finally waited in an extremely cold place for the Youhan Chixin Lotus, which only bloomed every three hundred years, to blossom. Bai Cai brought the Red Blood Spirit Pulp of the Youhan Chixin Lotus to Wu Geng and asked him to take it.
Wu Geng was about to take it, but A Lan, who rushed over, knocked over the Red Blood Spirit Pulp. Because she lost the hard-earned Red Blood Spirit Pulp, Bai Cai became furious, and her cold illness acted up. She coughed up blood and fainted. Wu Geng found Kong Que to treat Bai Cai, but unexpectedly discovered that besides the cold illness, there was also an unknown poison in Bai Cai's body.
Fu Xi came to check Bai Cai's body and found that Bai Cai had been poisoned by Gui Mu's corpse poison. A Lan also explained that Bai Cai used her own blood to catalyze the Youhan Chixin Lotus, so the resulting Red Blood Spirit Pulp also contained Gui Mu's corpse poison. A Lan also unexpectedly discovered this anomaly using her Assassination Butterfly.
Fu Xi checked Bai Cai's body again and found that there was an unknown divine essence flowing within her mortal body. It was sealed for some unknown reason and had no place to break through, which was why it impacted her physical body with cold energy. Clan Leader Kong Que also stated that with the Shenyin Clan's current herbs and magic, they could not save Bai Cai.
Yun Zhongzi said that if they wanted to save Bai Cai's life, they would have to find the Qiongqi Horn in the Spirit Mountain outside the village. Qiongqi is the divine beast of the Spirit Mountain, and its horn can cure all strange poisons in the world. However, Qiongqi is inherently cunning and easily hides its tracks. Only by luring it with Dragon Whale Incense can it be made to appear.
But the Dragon Whale Incense can only be used during times of crisis in the village and is not lent out. For Wu Geng's safety, Fu Xi instructed the villagers about the rule that the Dragon Whale Incense must not be lent out, stating that violators would be severely punished. Gui Mu came to pay his respects to Xin Yuekui and informed her about meeting her father, Fu Xi, in the mortal world.
He also took the opportunity to ask Xin Yuekui what Hei Long was searching for the crystal for. Xin Yuekui dismissed him, saying the matter of the crystal was none of his concern. Xin Yuekui warned Gui Mu and sent him away. Fu Xi predicted that a woman would try to kill Wu Geng.
He told A Lan about this and also said that in his vision, Wu Geng did not fight back when the woman attacked him, guessing that this person was someone close to Wu Geng. Bai Cai woke up still worried that Wu Geng had not drunk the Red Blood Spirit Pulp. To keep Bai Cai from worrying, Wu Geng said that he had already drunk all the Red Blood Spirit Pulp.
Wu Geng told Bai Cai that her cold illness had just recurred and she would be fine after treatment. Wu Geng discovered that someone had deliberately given him Dragon Whale Incense. He took the incense and went to the Spirit Mountain to find Qiongqi. Soon, Qiongqi smelled the incense and came. During Wu Geng's fight with Qiongqi, Zi Dian took the opportunity to paralyze Wu Geng with his divine power, causing Wu Geng to be injured by Qiongqi.
On the other side, Bai Cai was critically ill. Even though Kong Que tried her best, she could not save Bai Cai.
Episode 12 Recap
Zi Dian took advantage of Wu Geng's serious injuries and planned to kill him in one blow. A Lan rushed over to stop him. Wu Geng took the opportunity to break through the paralysis brought by Zi Dian and led Zi Dian towards Qiongqi. As a result, Zi Dian faced Qiongqi, and both sides were injured in the fight.
Wu Geng did not take advantage of Zi Dian's injury to kill him; he was willing to spare him because Zi Dian had saved his master A Lan's life before. Wu Geng did not intend to harm Qiongqi. Instead, he took out medicine to treat his injuries. He told Qiongqi how important Bai Cai was to him. Although Qiongqi disliked associating with humans, he was moved by Wu Geng and gave him a piece of his horn.
Wu Geng, dragging his injured body, took the Qiongqi horn to Kong Que and asked her to heal Bai Cai as quickly as possible. Fu Xi thought of the mysterious divine power within Bai Cai's body. He remembered Bai Cai had once asked about the oracle bones and guessed that Bai Cai had seen this item before. A Lan came to confess to the High Priest because she had privately given Dragon Whale Incense to Wu Geng.
Fu Xi was very disappointed in A Lan because of this matter, but since Wu Geng was out of danger, Fu Xi did not punish A Lan. In the prophecy, Wu Geng is the human God of War and the only one who can defeat Hei Long. Fu Xi entrusted Wu Geng to A Lan, hoping A Lan could protect him. Some things even he could not foresee; perhaps many things would change when Bai Cai woke up.
He hoped that even if he were gone one day, A Lan could help Wu Geng achieve his great goal. Bai Cai successfully woke up after taking the Qiongqi horn and learned that Wu Geng had been injured while getting the medicine for her. Bai Cai learned that she had been poisoned and that Wu Geng had almost lost his life searching for the medicine. She was filled with fear.
A Lan came to question Zi Dian because he had tried to kill Wu Geng. Zi Dian did not deny it, but instead accused A Lan of giving the Dragon Whale Incense to Wu Geng. A Lan attacked Zi Dian because he bullied the weak, and Zi Dian therefore suspected that A Lan had fallen in love with Wu Geng. A Lan warned Zi Dian to stay away from Wu Geng in the future.
If anything happened to Wu Geng, not only would she not spare him, but the High Priest would not forgive him either. Wu Geng followed A Lan and learned that A Lan had given him the Dragon Whale Incense yesterday. He came forward to thank A Lan. A Lan only said that Wu Geng could return it when he had his own Dragon Whale Incense in the future, and also told Wu Geng to train harder.
Wu Geng, through continuous training, was about to enter the Heavenly Awakening stage, and Heavenly Awakening is a divine power that only the Immortal Clan possesses. A Lan told Wu Geng that the Colorless World divine power is the rarest divine power. After cultivating to the highest realm, one can deprive all living beings in the three realms of their lives. The only one in the Immortal Clan who possesses this divine power is Hei Long.
Second only to the Colorless World divine power is the Primal World divine power, which is obtained by borrowing the abilities of ancient mythical beasts. Next is the Asura World divine power, which can summon living beings. Her Assassination Butterfly is an Asura World divine power, and the most terrifying among them is Shi Xing. There is also the Emptiness Perception World divine power, which Fu Xi, Xin Yuekui, Xin Yuehu, and Bai Long possess.
Tian Kui's Vajra World divine power is incredibly powerful. Gui Mu's Ksitigarbha World divine power can control poisonous creatures. Zi Dian's Myriad Forms World divine power can borrow the power of nature. Clan Leader Kong Que's Longevity World divine power can heal all injuries. Wu Geng learned that the Colorless World divine power was the most powerful and wanted to achieve the Colorless World divine power through Heavenly Awakening.
Xin Yuekui saw the lamp predicting the God of War burning brighter and brighter. But now that King Xin was dead, she guessed that King Xin was not the chosen God of War in the prophecy at all. She wanted to eliminate this hidden danger to prevent him from threatening the Immortal King in the future. Xin Yuekui wanted to find her father, Fu Xi.
She knew that with Fu Xi's power, she could accurately know who the chosen God of War really was. Back then, Xin Yuekui secretly practiced an ancient forbidden spell to enhance her divine power. After Xin Yuehu discovered this, she tried hard to persuade her, but unexpectedly, Fu Xi still found out. Fu Xi forcibly removed the spell from Xin Yuekui, which made Xin Yuekui hate him deeply. Xin Yuekui used healing divine medicine to attract Gui Mu.
Gui Mu, in order to recover his injured divine essence, was naturally willing to follow Xin Yuekui's instructions to find Fu Xi. Fu Xi found Bai Cai and asked her about the origin of the cold illness in her body. Bai Cai explained that her cold illness was congenital.
Fu Xi told Bai Cai that there is a legend in the Immortal Clan: after the great ancient war, Hei Long searched the three realms for a crystal, and it was said that this crystal could open the ancient divine power contained within the Crystal Mountain. More than ten years ago, this crystal suddenly appeared.
Hei Long sent Immortal generals to search for the crystal's whereabouts, but they were ultimately wiped out, and what killed them was the crystal's radiance from the ancient crystal. Bai Cai recalled that her parents had given her the crystal and told her to hide it. But later, her parents were injured, and her whereabouts were also discovered. In a time of crisis, the crystal's radiance killed the Immortal generals.
Before his death, Bai Cai's father removed Bai Cai's ear, completely completing the final seal. Fu Xi stated that the cold poison he discovered in Bai Cai's body was very similar to the crystal's radiance, and there was also a sealed ancient divine essence within her body. Fu Xi asked Bai Cai who she really was. Bai Cai asked in return whether Fu Xi's oracle bones could predict the location of the crystal. Fu Xi did not deny it.
Bai Cai believed that Fu Xi was the enemy who had killed her parents, and she attacked him, wanting revenge. A Lan discovered Gui Mu's poisonous locusts and quickly went to inform the High Priest Fu Xi about this matter. Wu Geng returned to his room and found that Fu Xi was about to kill Bai Cai. He asked Fu Xi why he was doing this. Bai Cai accused Fu Xi of being the murderer of her parents.
However, Fu Xi denied killing Bai Cai's parents. He said that his oracle bones had been stolen before, and he had gone to the place where Bai Cai was staying while searching for the oracle bones, but he guaranteed that he had never sent anyone to kill Bai Cai's parents. But Bai Cai did not believe what Fu Xi said.
Wu Geng saw with his own eyes that Fu Xi wanted to kill Bai Cai, and he also had doubts about him. Wu Geng did not want Bai Cai to be in danger, so he took Bai Cai and left the Shenyin Clan. On the way, Wu Geng saw Gui Mu arriving at the Shenyin Village. He was worried about the safety of the Shenyin Clan and wanted to turn back to save people.
Bai Cai also felt grateful for the help of the other members of the Shenyin Clan and was willing to accompany Wu Geng back to save them. Fu Xi learned that their whereabouts had been exposed, but it was too late to move the villagers. It turned out that Gui Mu had found this place through the corpse poison on Bai Cai.
Fu Xi told A Lan to go and notify the villagers, and he stayed behind to deal with Gui Mu. Subsequently, Wu Geng also rushed over to help. Fu Xi told Bai Cai that his oracle bones had been stolen by Xin Yuekui, and he admitted that Xin Yuekui's mistake was ultimately his own fault.
Episode 13 Recap
Fu Xi let Wu Geng and Bai Cai leave Shenyin Village first. Now that all Six Great Divine Department Deities have arrived, he will take the villagers to leave first, while he goes to meet an old friend. Tai Ji and the other Six Great Divine Department Deities attacked Shenyin Village. A Lan, Yun Zhongzi, and Yuan Yi joined hands to protect the Shenyin Village villagers.
Seeing that their strength was insufficient, A Lan told Yun Zhongzi and Yuan Yi to take the villagers away, while she decided to stay behind to lure away the Six Great Divine Department Deities. Fu Xi and his daughter Xin Yuekui met. He had known Xin Yuekui would come, and prepared the Tai Ji Punishing Immortal Formation to deal with her.
Fu Xi brewed tea to entertain his daughter, telling her that the way of tea was extremely similar to the way of cultivation, both being dry and bitter in the beginning. Since childhood, Xin Yuekui had been unwilling to build a solid foundation steadily, only wanting to be lazy and take shortcuts. Xin Yuekui believed that in her father's eyes she was ignorant and could not compare to his younger daughter Xin Yuehu, who was sensible in every way.
The father and daughter confronted each other within the formation, and Fu Xi discovered that Xin Yuekui could actually also use the Tai Ji Punishing Immortal Formation. It turned out that back then, Xin Yuekui had tricked her kind sister into teaching her the Tai Ji Punishing Immortal Formation. Now her sister's soul was annihilated, and everything was because Fu Xi had taught her about the equality of all beings.
Back then, Xin Yuekui framed Fu Xi regarding the position of High Priest. Fu Xi believed that all of his daughter's current actions were his mistakes as a father. He took action wanting to stop his daughter's deeds. The father and daughter again confronted each other with divine power.
Fu Xi pointed out the differences between Xin Yuekui and Xin Yuehu, stating that no matter what Xin Yuehu encountered, she would never complain to heaven or blame others, whereas Xin Yuekui only knew how to push responsibility onto others. A Lan used illusion clones to lure away Tai Ji and the other great deities, but unexpectedly, Shi Xing saw through her scheme and took action to injure A Lan.
Wu Geng told Bai Cai to cover the villagers' departure, and he rushed over to assist A Lan. Shi Xing discovered that Wu Geng, in a mortal body, could actually use divine power and was quite curious about him. Wu Geng's divine power was not as strong as Shi Xing's. He took out the new type of weapon, the "Forbidden Cannon," developed by Yuan Yi and used it to attack Shi Xing.
Wu Geng originally thought the "Forbidden Cannon" could kill Shi Xing, but unexpectedly, Shi Xing was not injured. Shi Xing believed that Wu Geng, being a human, could control divine power, so he must possess other powers. Shi Xing used divine power to force Wu Geng to reveal all the power within his body. Shi Xing saw that Wu Geng cared about Bai Cai's life and deliberately used her life to threaten him.
Under such coercion, Wu Geng prematurely entered "Heavenly Awakening. " Shi Xing was surprised that Wu Geng could actually possess the Colorless World divine power. However, Wu Geng's divine power flowed in reverse, making it difficult for him to control himself. Xin Yuekui informed Fu Xi about how Xin Yuehu had personally killed her son Wu Geng back then. Although everyone believed Wu Geng was dead, she herself did not believe it.
At the same time, Fu Xi discovered that Wu Geng had prematurely entered "Heavenly Awakening. " He had originally planned to quickly deal with Xin Yuekui before going to help Wu Geng, but unexpectedly, Xin Yuekui actually raised Spirit Eaters. It turned out that Xin Yuekui had sacrificed the Spirit Eaters using the Eye of Prophecy.
Now that she had taken Fu Xi's Eye of Prophecy, she knew that the person Fu Xi had rescued from the mine was his sister Xin Yuehu's son, Wu Geng. Xin Yuekui was furious that her father was willing to blind himself rather than not protect Xin Yuehu's son. She ordered her subordinates to take Fu Xi back to the Divine Realm and imprison him at Heaven's Edge Sea Corner. Wu Geng's Heavenly Awakening failed, and he lost an arm.
Shi Xing did not plan to kill Wu Geng; he wanted to make Wu Geng stronger so that the two of them could fight again then. Shi Xing knew that Bai Cai had triggered Wu Geng's Heavenly Awakening. He took Bai Cai away to stimulate Wu Geng to improve his cultivation, so that Wu Geng could come to the City of Kings to find him then.
Xin Yuekui wanted to kill Wu Geng, but Shi Xing took action to stop her. He wanted to keep Wu Geng alive so that he could become strong enough to kill him.
Episode 14 Recap
After the war, the Shenyin Clan villagers came to a temporary shelter to build dwellings. At the same time, the Kong Que clan leader gave birth to a boy, and the heavily injured Wu Geng was also rescued by Yun Zhongzi. After treating Wu Geng, the Kong Que clan leader discovered that Wu Geng's left arm was injured by reversed divine power, and even the powerful divine power of the Everlasting Realm could not heal him.
After waking up, Wu Geng wanted to go find Shi Xing. The Kong Que clan leader advised him to recuperate his body which was injured by reversed divine power first. Yun Zhongzi believed that the immediate priority was to rebuild Shenyin Village, but the Kong Que clan leader did not want to choose a new place again, nor did she want to keep hiding with the villagers.
She wanted to rebuild Shenyin Village in its original location and wait for the High Priest's return. A Lan rushed to meet up after receiving a message from the clan leader. She arrived at the gathering place and saw Wu Geng still cultivating late at night. A Lan advised Wu Geng that he had just failed his Heavenly Awakening and his body had not yet recovered, so his cultivation should proceed gradually.
Wu Geng felt he was useless, always saying he would defeat Hei Long, but now he couldn't even get past Shi Xing, let alone protect the people around him. A Lan told Wu Geng that Fu Xi had previously predicted that the person who could defeat Hei Long was Wu Geng.
Although Wu Geng's Heavenly Awakening had failed now, what Wu Geng awakened was the strongest divine power in the three realms, the "Colorless World divine power," showing that Wu Geng was extraordinary. With A Lan's persuasion, Wu Geng regained his spirit and stated that Shi Xing would be the first Immortal he defeats on his path against the Immortals.
Wu Geng unexpectedly learned that Fu Xi had been captured by Xin Yuekui, and he also learned that Fu Xi was actually Xin Yuekui's father, meaning Fu Xi was also his maternal grandfather. A Lan told Wu Geng that the reason for concealing their relationship was partly for Wu Geng's safety and partly to test Wu Geng. Wu Geng was grateful for his grandfather's painstaking efforts to help him succeed, but now he had no chance to acknowledge him.
With Fu Xi imprisoned, he was determined to rescue Fu Xi. Wu Geng wanted to go to the City of Kings first to rescue Bai Cai. He thought that if Zi Yu uncle was also in the City of Kings, he would definitely help him, which would give them a better chance of success when going to the Divine Realm. The clan leader gathered the villagers to discuss how to rescue Fu Xi.
A Lan told everyone that the High Priest had anticipated Xin Yuekui attacking Shenyin Village, so he left her a stick of Dragon Whale Incense. A Lan lit the Dragon Whale Incense, and Fu Xi's message told everyone that if he ever met with misfortune, they should preserve their strength first and not rescue him, and must protect Wu Geng well. A Lan also received a message from Fu Xi that she should kill Bai Cai if necessary.
A Lan did not tell this to everyone. A Lan did not understand why the High Priest, who had always been benevolent, was so cruel towards Bai Cai. Wu Geng told A Lan that he wanted to go to the City of Kings first to deal with Shi Xing.
Although he was not strong enough to fight Shi Xing now, if he didn't even have the courage to face Shi Xing, how could he rescue Bai Cai and Zi Yu uncle, let alone confront Hei Long? The Kong Que clan leader saw that A Lan felt differently towards Wu Geng. She could tell from A Lan's repeated kind help to Wu Geng that A Lan liked Wu Geng.
However, Kong Que kindly reminded A Lan that there would be no outcome between her and Wu Geng. If humans and Immortals developed feelings for each other, it would inevitably lead to great disaster. Xin Yuehu and Shi Xing from back then were a lesson from the past, and Kong Que did not want A Lan to bring trouble upon herself.
Kong Que believed that Wu Geng was determined to attack the Divine Realm, so all his current experiences were necessary steps for him. Kong Que advised A Lan to leave everything to fate and not help Wu Geng avoid trouble excessively. Although the Kong Que clan leader advised A Lan, A Lan still insisted on accompanying Wu Geng to the City of Kings. Bai Cai woke up in the City of Kings.
She found the place gloomy and terrifying, and Shi Xing was also exceptionally疯癫 (this is Pinyin, let's translate to 'mad' or 'insane'). Bai Cai originally wanted to seize the opportunity to escape the City of Kings, but unexpectedly, there were zombies everywhere in the city, and she couldn't get out at all. The Kong Que clan leader brought the villagers to see off Wu Geng and A Lan.
She instructed Wu Geng that this trip was dangerous and that he should never engage Shi Xing directly. Yun Zhongzi lent his precious gourd to Wu Geng, and Zi Dian lent his All-Phenomena Divine Power to Wu Geng so that Wu Geng could protect A Lan. Everyone hoped that Wu Geng and A Lan could return safely.
The City of Kings was located in the deepest part of the desert, a place unreachable by ordinary humans, and its exact location was also a mystery. Wu Geng was worried about Bai Cai, so he naturally wanted to find the location of the City of Kings as soon as possible. Bai Cai could not escape the City of Kings. Shi Xing also forced her to deliver food to the imprisoned combatants. It was because of this that Bai Cai met Zi Yu, who was imprisoned there.
Episode 15 Recap
Bai Cai saw that Zi Yu was different from the others who were imprisoned. She asked him if he was a Xin person. Unexpectedly, when Zi Yu heard news of Xin, he pressed Bai Cai about the current state of Xin. Bai Cai told Zi Yu that the Immortal Clan had destroyed Xin and that the Kuo State had replaced it. Queen Xin, with the Prince, set fire to the Star Picking Tower and immolated themselves for the country.
Learning this news, Zi Yu was filled with immense grief. - Xin Yuekui used the Eye of Prophecy she took from Fu Xi to see a scene where her father taught her younger sister Xin Yuehu. At that time, Fu Xi evaluated Xin Yuekui as having keen intelligence but being too ambitious, saying that the more divine techniques she learned, the more improper desires she would have.
Seeing this scene, Xin Yuekui became even more resentful and angry at her father's unfair treatment of her and her sister. Gui Mu came to find Xin Yuekui and told her that he found Fu Xi by tracking Bai Cai, and that Bai Cai also contained a mysterious power within her. Gui Mu pleaded with Xin Yuekui to grant him elixirs, but Xin Yuekui instead accused Gui Mu of being incompetent.
Not only did she not give him elixirs to heal his injuries and sickness, but she also forced Gui Mu to thoroughly investigate Bai Cai's background. - Wu Geng and A Lan were now searching for the City of Kings in the desert. To prevent Shi Xing from discovering them making a move against Wu Geng, Xin Yuekui ordered the Immortal Clan to trap Wu Geng and A Lan to die in the desert.
Wu Geng and A Lan encountered a tornado in the desert. A Lan detected that this was the Immortal Clan's All-Phenomena Divine Power. Wu Geng also guessed that the direction of the tornado was the direction of the City of Kings, but the two were unable to move forward under the All-Phenomena Divine Power. A Lan told Wu Geng to leave first with Yun Zhongzi's gourd, while she stayed behind alone to confront the tornado.
Under the divine power of Yun Zhongzi's gourd, Wu Geng successfully passed through the tornado and arrived at the City of Kings. Wu Geng left the gourd at the city gate as a guide for A Lan, hoping that when A Lan arrived, she would know that he had safely entered the city. Wu Geng arrived in the city. At first, the city was deserted, but in the blink of an eye, Wu Geng saw countless citizens appear.
However, strangely, these scenes in front of him seemed like illusions and were repeating endlessly. Wu Geng saw through the illusion and used the All-Phenomena Divine Power Zi Dian had given him to break it. Afterwards, he found the place where Shi Xing was imprisoning his opponents. Bai Cai came to deliver food to the imprisoned people and happened to encounter Shi Xing having a fit of madness. The deranged Shi Xing grabbed Bai Cai.
Wu Geng, who had come to this place, just happened to see Bai Cai being troubled. He took action to rescue Bai Cai and accused Shi Xing of not abiding by their agreement. Wu Geng's current cultivation was completely unable to contend with Shi Xing. He was easily defeated by Shi Xing.
Shi Xing used Bai Cai to threaten Wu Geng, telling him to come and defeat him at midnight the following night, otherwise he would kill both Bai Cai and Wu Geng. Wu Geng accepted the condition and let Shi Xing imprison him in the same cell where Zi Yu was held. Wu Geng told Zi Yu that he was Wu Geng, the Prince of Xin.
However, Zi Yu did not believe him, as he had always thought that Wu Geng and Xin Yuehu had died together in the Star Picking Tower. Wu Geng told Zi Yu how his mother used her divine power to protect him. Zi Yu recognized the wristband on Wu Geng's hand, which still contained remnants of Xin Yuehu's divine power. The uncle and nephew recognized each other in this place. After Wu Geng was born, Zi Yu had been traveling outside. Now reunited, he observed Wu Geng carefully and only then discovered that Wu Geng's eyes were exactly the same as King Xin's.
Episode 16 Recap
Shi Xing was obsessed with knowing who the woman in his mind was. In his madness, he interrogated Bai Cai, choking her unconscious. Zi Yu told his nephew that Shi Xing was a madman who had been recruiting masters from all over the world for years and imprisoning them here. The Xin State war made Shi Xing feel that Zi Yu was also a rare master, which was why he had kept Zi Yu imprisoned here.
With the state destroyed and families ruined, people's hearts were dead. Although Zi Yu could escape this place, he felt it was no different from the outside world. Wu Geng advised Zi Yu not to blame himself for the fall of the Xin State. That year, he and King Xin had both fought with all their might. That year, they let everyone know that the Immortal Clan was not invincible and also brought everyone hope.
Before his mother Xin Yuehu died, she instructed him to find Uncle Zi Yu, because Uncle Zi Yu was their hope. Wu Geng asked Uncle Zi Yu to believe that he would definitely lead the human race to defeat the Immortal Clan and allow humans to live a life no longer enslaved. Wu Geng wanted to leave this place with Zi Yu. The two decided to join forces to deal with Shi Xing.
Zi Yu used Qi Refinement to open up Wu Geng's acupoints. As long as Wu Geng could endure it, his body and divine power would greatly improve. After Bai Cai fell unconscious, she entered Shi Xing's memory world. There, she saw details of Shi Xing's interactions with the blind girl Ming Yue. Wu Geng had amazing willpower and successfully had his acupoints opened by Zi Yu.
Zi Yu told Wu Geng that he now had two types of Qi in his body, and only by merging them could he achieve some success. However, if one's state of mind was unstable, the power generated by the entanglement of divine power and Qi Refinement would take advantage of the weakness and invade the owner's consciousness, creating inner demons.
Zi Yu told Wu Geng that the known divine power, Qi Refinement, and the demon race's soul power in this world all had backlash effects. The key to cultivation was cultivating the mind. A Lan escaped the tornado and successfully reached the City of Kings. Seeing the gourd Wu Geng left behind, she confirmed that Wu Geng had successfully entered the city. A Lan discovered that the entire city was sealed, and the residents had all turned into Balhou.
They were trapped indoors during the day and unable to move. Gui Mu came to the Divine Realm to meet the Great Elder Shenyan, but Shenyan instructed him to wait. Zi Yu taught Wu Geng how to control the Qi Refinement within his body. Wu Geng quickly understood how to control it and also helped Zi Yu successfully open the chains binding his hands and feet. Wu Geng quickly mastered Qi Refinement in just one day.
Zi Yu reminded Wu Geng that this place imprisoned the masters Shi Xing had gathered, and they could help stop Shi Xing if necessary. A Lan hurried to assist Wu Geng. Wu Geng also released all the masters imprisoned in the cell. The moment of the final battle arrived, and all the imprisoned Balhou in the city also rushed over. Shi Xing activated an ancient forbidden technique, and the city residents rushed to celebrate the City Lord's wedding.
On the other side, the blind girl Ming Yue was also dressed in a wedding gown, waiting in her room to be married. Wu Geng and A Lan followed the residents to the City Lord's mansion. Wu Geng saw Bai Cai here. Shi Xing and Ming Yue were about to hold their grand wedding ceremony. Xin Yuekui arrived here with Tian Kui. Xin Yuekui accused Shi Xing, as the son of the Immortal King, of wanting to marry a human.
She said humans could be toyed with but should not be genuinely loved. Xin Yuekui sealed the City of Kings. Xin Yuekui told Shi Xing that this was the King's Seal bestowed upon him by the Great Elder Shenyan as punishment. One marked by the Seal would be neither dead nor alive, completely devoid of memory, and would become a beast that only knew how to kill. And every time the Seal was activated, Shi Xing would experience the situation of painfully losing his beloved.
Episode 17 Recap
Because of the Seal of the Dead, Shi Xing began a massive slaughter of the city residents, and even personally killed the woman he loved, Ming Yue. Before Ming Yue died, she told Shi Xing that she didn't blame him, that she had long anticipated this day. Every day and every moment she spent with Shi Xing was very happy, her only regret was not having seen the beautiful mountains and rivers with Shi Xing.
Understanding why Shi Xing had gone mad, Bai Cai believed that only Ming Yue could awaken Shi Xing. She decided to impersonate Ming Yue to awaken the light that had not yet been extinguished in Shi Xing's heart. Wu Geng asked A Lan to take Bai Cai to Ming Yue's room, while he would first hold off Shi Xing. Even though Wu Geng had skillfully mastered Qi Refinement, he was still no match for Shi Xing.
Shi Xing had intended to personally kill Wu Geng. At the critical moment, Zi Yu, who had repaired his Qi sword, rushed to rescue him, allowing Wu Geng to escape the calamity. Although Zi Yu's Qi Refinement had reached the point of unity of man and sword, after multiple duels, he still could not kill Shi Xing.
Shi Xing deduced that Zi Yu had expended his own Qi Refinement when helping Wu Geng earlier, which was why he couldn't severely injure him, but Zi Yu didn't regret his actions. As Hei Long's son, Shi Xing couldn't die even if he wanted to. This was not only because he was formed from Hei Long's Divine Essence, but also because Xin Yuekui had cast the undying spell of the Seal of the Dead on him.
Now that Wu Geng couldn't kill him, he wanted to end Wu Geng's life. Wu Geng was again on the verge of death, and again awakened the Colorless Realm Divine Power. Wu Geng, with the Awakened Colorless Realm Divine Power, severely beat Shi Xing, and Shi Xing was consequently severely injured.
Wu Geng stated that the Seal of the Dead filled Shi Xing with slaughter and left no love in his heart, so he fundamentally didn't understand the true meaning of life. Wu Geng didn't want to kill Shi Xing, but also didn't want the other party to become his obstacle. He wanted Shi Xing to fall into a deep sleep.
Bai Cai rushed over, wanting Shi Xing to find complete release, because she believed Shi Xing was also persecuted by the Immortal Clan. Bai Cai appeared before Shi Xing, dressed in the wedding gown Ming Yue wore that year. Shi Xing recalled how he met and fell in love with Ming Yue back then. Back then, Shi Xing believed the Divine Realm was like a beautiful and magnificent prison.
The Immortals there had no passionate feelings and didn't understand the warmth of the human world. Ever since he met his beloved Ming Yue in the human world, he no longer wanted to return to the Divine Realm. He only wanted to stay by Ming Yue's side. Because Ming Yue was blind, she lived in darkness and couldn't see the scenery of the world. Although she had regrets, she never complained about her fate.
However, after meeting Shi Xing, she couldn't help but feel a sense of resentment, as it meant she would never be able to see the appearance of her beloved. Shi Xing promised to stand in a place where Ming Yue could reach out and find him. With him accompanying her, all her regrets would turn into happiness and beauty. And he would become Ming Yue's eyes, taking her to see the beautiful landscapes and the distinct four seasons.
Ming Yue accepted Shi Xing's marriage proposal, and the two agreed to get married on the fifteenth day, three days later. Shi Xing finally remembered that the woman he loved most was Ming Yue, but he had personally killed her. Shi Xing mistakenly took Bai Cai for Ming Yue, but unexpectedly, when Bai Cai came into contact with Shi Xing, she accidentally unlocked the Seal of the Dead on him.
Xin Yuekui saw that Bai Cai had unlocked the Seal of the Dead on Shi Xing and suspected that Bai Cai possessed ancient Divine Power. Gui Mu paid his respects to Great Elder Shenyan and told him that he had traced an ancient crystal in the human world which seemed to have reincarnated into a human woman, and this woman was accompanying King Xin's son, Wu Geng. But because Gui Mu had no evidence, he was ordered to find out the woman's whereabouts as soon as possible.
Episode 18 Recap
Shi Xing remembered Ming Yue, and also realized that in the days without love and memories all these years, he had become the person Ming Yue disliked the most. He thanked Bai Cai and Wu Geng for their help, which allowed him to be completely free from suffering.
Shi Xing told everyone that only a power as strong as the ancient Divine Power could remove the Seal of the Dead from him, and this also released the Divine Power within Bai Cai. Although Shi Xing couldn't understand humans, he now felt that perhaps Wu Geng could represent humanity and defeat the Immortals. Shi Xing was completely released and could finally go to accompany his beloved Ming Yue.
Xin Yuekui discovered that Bai Cai's body contained the Divine Power of the Crystal Radiance. Offering Bai Cai to Hei Long would also be considered a great achievement. Now that Wu Geng had awakened the Colorless Realm Divine Power, she feared he truly was the War God descended. Xin Yuekui dispatched Tai Ji and Zhui Ri together to pursue and kill Wu Geng.
The Great Elder didn't want Xin Yuekui to earn merit and ordered Liu Yue to stop Tai Ji from descending. Liu Yue also didn't want Tai Ji to get involved in the struggle between Great Elder Shenyan and Xin Yuekui. With such persuasion, Tai Ji ultimately did not descend. Bai Cai was worried about the safety of Shenyin Village.
Wu Geng told Bai Cai that everything was well in Shenyin Village, Kong Que the clan leader's child had also been born, and everyone was very worried about Bai Cai. A Lan also rushed there to help because she was worried about Bai Cai. Bai Cai was very grateful to A Lan and Wu Geng for coming together to King's City to rescue her. Wu Geng introduced Bai Cai to Uncle Zi Yu.
Zi Yu was also very grateful to Bai Cai for accompanying Wu Geng all these years. A Lan asked Zi Yu if there were any masters from the Demon Clan among the puppets in the city, because last night she discovered someone secretly protecting Bai Cai, and she suspected this person was from the Demon Clan.
Zi Yu had heard earlier that King's City was a cage trapping Shi Xing, and also a massive rock pressing down on the Demon Clan. Demons and Immortals are like fire and water, so anyone willing to help them defeat Shi Xing must be from the Demon Clan. Wu Geng wanted to go see the Demon Clan. He believed they could unite with the Demon Clan to attack the Divine Domain together. Zi Yu treated his injuries on the spot.
Zhui Ri rushed over, wanting to kill Zi Yu and Wu Geng and the others. Wu Geng had consumed too much Divine Power in the battle with Shi Xing and had not yet recovered. Zhui Ri used the power of thunder and lightning, wanting to kill Wu Geng in one blow. Sui Feng Qi Wu from the Demon Clan appeared and helped Wu Geng withstand this power.
Seeing that he could not kill Wu Geng by himself, Zhui Ri could only temporarily leave. Wu Geng and the others thanked Sui Feng Qi Wu for her help. Sui Feng Qi Wu stated that she was acting under the orders of the Demon Clan's Grand Marshal to protect them. Wu Geng wanted to go to the Demon Clan to meet the Grand Marshal. The Grand Marshal eventually agreed to Wu Geng's request.
Wu Geng originally wanted to take Zi Yu with him to the Demon Clan, but Zi Yu decided not to go with Wu Geng. The reason he had never looked for Wu Geng all these years was because he believed a sentence Xin Yuehu told him back then: "Trust Wu Geng, no matter where he is, he will find you.
" Zi Yu instructed Wu Geng to treat Bai Cai well and told Wu Geng to find an opportunity to tell Bai Cai his true identity to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings in the future. Wu Geng also hoped Uncle Zi Yu would take care of himself, and they would fight side by side again when the time was right.
A Lan cautioned Bai Cai to also be wary of others in the Demon Realm, but Bai Cai believed that sometimes problems didn't necessarily have to be solved with force. She would go to the Demon Realm with them; perhaps she could help everyone at a critical moment. After the separation at King's City, she no longer wanted to be separated from Wu Geng. Bai Cai knew A Lan was worried about her becoming a burden to Wu Geng.
Bai Cai promised that even if she had to sacrifice her own life in the future, she would not let others use her to harm Wu Geng. After saying goodbye to Zi Yu, Wu Geng arrived at the Demon Clan with Sui Feng Qi Wu. Zi Yu returned to Xin Kingdom to pay respects to his royal brother. Back then, King Xin had shouldered the heavy responsibility of protecting Xin Kingdom for the happiness of its people.
It was King Xin who withstood the pressure from the Immortal Clan, allowing him to live a life of freedom. But he didn't expect their reunion in Xin City would become the day of farewell, and it also became his eternal regret. Now Wu Geng already possesses the kingly aura just like his royal brother back then. He chose to fight alongside Wu Geng, just as the two brothers fought together back then.
When Wu Geng arrived at the Demon Clan, he unexpectedly lost contact with Bai Cai and A Lan. Afterwards, Wu Geng met Yong Heng Zhi Ye in the Demon Clan. Yong Heng Zhi Ye told Wu Geng that he had just accidentally activated the Hun Tian Shi Hai. One hundred thousand years ago, the ancient Immortal Clan engaged in a great war.
The victors entered the Divine Domain and were revered as Heaven, while the losers entered the underground and would never see the sun or moon for eternity. The Human Clan on the great earth suffered greatly under the oppression of the Immortal Clan. Only the appearance of the Star of the War God could change the Three Realms. Although Yong Heng Zhi Ye possessed Empty Realm Divine Power, he could not foresee Wu Geng's future.
However, he also believed that if Wu Geng could achieve his wish on this trip, it would be a fortune for the Demon Clan. Yong Heng Zhi Ye bestowed six words upon Wu Geng. After Bai Cai and Wu Geng were separated, she was unexpectedly captured in the Demon Clan, but fortunately, she was rescued in time by Ni Tianerxing.
Episode 19 Recap
The Demon Clan's Grand Marshal Ni Tianerxing rescued Bai Cai. Bai Cai asked where her companions were. Ni Tianerxing told Bai Cai not to worry, they would reunite soon. Wu Geng found A Lan. The two saw that the Demon Clan could harm their own kind for just a drop of water. Wu Geng thought the Demon Clan's situation was even worse than humans'.
One hundred thousand years ago, during a great war in the Divine Domain, Hei Long took the rebellious Immortal army and forced them underground, where they would never see the sun all day, accompanied by disease and tyranny. They killed each other in repeated despair and devolved into demons. Wu Geng learned the origin of the Demon Clan and felt sympathy for them.
Wu Geng and A Lan were surrounded by the Demon Clan, who originally intended to devour the two of them. But then an anomaly occurred in the sky, and countless falling rocks crashed towards the ground. Ni Tianerxing and Bai Cai also discovered this anomaly. Ni Tianerxing knew that the Demon Clan's seal of one hundred thousand years had been lifted, and the entire Demon Clan was excited because of it.
Ni Tianerxing's master had told him that only by using the Colorless Realm Divine Power to open the Hun Tian Shi Hai could the Demon Clan's seal be broken. Bai Cai sensed that this must be the seal broken by Wu Geng. Wu Geng rescued a little girl named Xiao Qingting in the Demon Clan. Seeing that Xiao Qingting lacked food and water, he felt sympathy and proactively gave the human food he had to Xiao Qingting.
Xiao Qingting, in order to thank Wu Geng, told him the location of Ni Tianerxing's tribe and then proactively led Wu Geng there. Ni Tianerxing introduced Bai Cai to his subordinates, stating that although Bai Cai was from the Human Realm, she was part of the Demon Clan. Bai Cai raised a question. Ni Tianerxing told Bai Cai that although she had lived in the Human Realm for a long time, this was her true homeland.
Bai Cai touched a Demon Clan crystal and it resonated, and this sign of Divine Power resonance also proved that Bai Cai was part of the Demon Clan. Bai Cai appreciated Ni Tianerxing's kindness, but she stated that she already had a family. With the Demon Clan's seal lifted, they saw the sun they had never seen before and also the snow recorded in ancient books. Everyone celebrated the changes of the day together.
Bai Cai and Wu Geng saw each other among the dense crowd, and the two ran towards each other and embraced. Ni Tianerxing dispatched subordinates to invite Wu Geng and Bai Cai to meet. Wu Geng and Bai Cai came to Ni Tianerxing's location. Ni Tianerxing thanked Wu Geng for bringing a ray of light to the Demon Clan.
Wu Geng stated that he merely unintentionally broke the Hun Tian Shi Hai and lifted the seal, and could not bear the title of Human Realm War God that Ni Tianerxing spoke of. Wu Geng inquired about the Demon Clan's Petrification Sickness.
Ni Tianerxing told Wu Geng and Bai Cai that for the past one hundred thousand years, the Demon Clan had been suppressed underground, suffering the agony of Petrification Sickness, and most of the Demon Clan species could not live past forty years old. Hei Long cast a curse upon the rebellious ancestors of the Demon Clan, and the Petrification Sickness was passed down through generations.
Ni Tianerxing stated that the Demon Clan would never compromise; they had been resisting for the past one hundred thousand years and also wanted to grasp their fate in their own hands. He understood Wu Geng's intention for coming. The two agreed to decide whether to cooperate within seven days. Wu Geng thanked A Lan for protecting him all the way. A Lan stated that she was Wu Geng's master, and protecting him was her responsibility.
Wu Geng told A Lan that he and Ni Tianerxing had agreed on a seven-day period to see if the other party was a trustworthy partner. Qiong Xiong Ji E was furious because his subordinate lost Xiao Qingting and ordered everyone to go out and look for Xiao Qingting. At this moment, a subordinate reported that Xiao Qingting had entered Ni Tianerxing's tribe. Qiong Xiong Ji E took people and rushed to the tribe to rescue his daughter.
Qiong Xiong Ji E brought people to look for his daughter. Ni Tianerxing told him that Xiao Qingting was in the tribe but was brought by Wu Geng. Qiong Xiong Ji E was worried his daughter would harm someone. Bai Cai rushed here with Xiao Qingting. Xiao Qingting timely stopped Qiong Xiong Ji E's murderous action. Xiao Qingting was unwell. Everyone discovered that Xiao Qingting's Petrification Sickness had begun. Bai Cai couldn't bear it and proactively offered to help treat Xiao Qingting.
Episode 20 Recap
Bai Cai helped Xiao Qingting relieve the pain. Qiong Xiong Ji E thanked Bai Cai for saving his daughter and also decided to let Ni Tianerxing go today. Ni Tianerxing apologized for forcibly revealing Bai Cai's Demon Clan identity earlier. He stated that he only wanted the Demon Clan brethren to be united, which was why he was eager to recognize Bai Cai. Bai Cai understood Ni Tianerxing's feelings but also hoped he would understand her experiences.
She had long forgotten most of her childhood memories, and in her memory, she was just an orphan who relied on A Gou for survival. Her lifelong wish had been to be with A Gou and live a simple but happy life. Ni Tianerxing also hoped Bai Cai could always be happy and believed Bai Cai's parents thought the same.
Ni Tianerxing gave Bai Cai the necklace in his hand because, in his memory, this necklace belonged to Bai Cai's mother. He accidentally picked it up while searching for Bai Cai's parents back then. Ni Tianerxing told Bai Cai that her parents were great generals under his elder brother, Hai Kuo Tian Kong. They had outstanding military achievements, were courageous and resourceful. They sought medical advice and provided treatment in the Demon Realm, helping the people get rid of illnesses.
Back then, his elder brother was harmed by Shen Yan, and the Demon Realm was torn apart. Bai Cai's parents, disheartened, took Bai Cai, who possessed Divine Power, to the Human Realm, originally hoping their daughter would live happily in the future. However, they didn't expect to encounter pursuit from the Immortal Clan. Learning about her background and origin, Bai Cai missed her parents and cried uncontrollably.
Wu Geng and A Lan inquired about the Flower of Dawn from an elder in the market. They learned that this flower came from the Divine Domain and could cure Petrification Sickness. Bai Cai was relieving Petrification Sickness for the people in the market. People suffering from Petrification Sickness came one after another. Wu Geng saw Bai Cai treating everyone tirelessly and advised her to also pay attention to her own health.
He especially didn't want Bai Cai to treat people at the expense of her own body. Ni Tianerxing also rushed over to persuade Bai Cai. The radiance of the crystal did not have healing functions like the Divine Power of the Eternal Realm. Continuous large consumption was life-threatening for Bai Cai. Bai Cai brought Wu Geng back to her dwelling.
She told Wu Geng that from the moment she was here, she knew this was her home, the place she was born. Bai Cai told Wu Geng that she was from the Demon Clan and the Demon Realm was her hometown. Returning this time and seeing her people suffering, she no longer wanted to hide her identity. Wu Geng didn't care which clan Bai Cai belonged to. He only asked Bai Cai to promise to protect herself well.
Wu Geng also promised to do his best to find a way to save the Demon Clan. The two did not become estranged because of this. A Lan guessed Bai Cai was from the Demon Clan because of the Divine Power on her body. Wu Geng asked A Lan why Fu Xi wanted to kill Bai Cai back then. A Lan told Wu Geng to just know that everything Fu Xi did was for him.
A Lan was unwilling to attack the Divine Domain with Wu Geng and the Demon Clan. Wu Geng knew that the Shenyin Clan had always survived by the rule of living in seclusion and avoiding disaster. But this time, the Shenyin Clan had suffered heavy losses and could no longer avoid it. Only by joining the battle could they ultimately rescue his grandfather, Fu Xi.
Wu Geng brought Bai Cai to the graveyard where the ancestors of the Demon Clan slept eternally. Here, they saw countless Demon Clan members suffering from Petrification Sickness coming to bid farewell to the former Grand Marshal, Hai Kuo Tian Kong. Seeing these Demon Clan members who died from Petrification Sickness, Wu Geng swore to rescue them. Wu Geng touched Hai Kuo Tian Kong's tombstone and unexpectedly connected with Hai Kuo Tian Kong's residual consciousness.
Back then, Hai Kuo Tian Kong's wife was on the verge of death due to Petrification Sickness. Ni Tianerxing went to the Divine Domain to collect the Flower of Dawn, wanting to save his sister-in-law, but his whereabouts were unexpectedly discovered by Shen Yan. Shen Yan told Ni Tianerxing that the claim that the Flower of Dawn could cure Petrification Sickness was a lie. The pollen of the Flower of Dawn was actually the root cause of Petrification Sickness.
He had long ago spread this pollen throughout the Demon Realm. Now that Ni Tianerxing knew this secret, Shen Yan originally wanted to kill Ni Tianerxing. At the moment of crisis, Hai Kuo Tian Kong rushed to rescue him. Hai Kuo Tian Kong told his younger brother Ni Tianerxing not to reveal the secret of the Flower of Dawn to the Demon Clan, because this was the hope that sustained the Demon Clan to live on.
Afterwards, Hai Kuo Tian Kong sent his younger brother away, and he ultimately died at the hands of Shen Yan. Wu Geng learned the secret that Ni Tianerxing had been guarding for many years. He believed that no matter how the seven-day agreement turned out, he would help the Demon Clan get rid of their illnesses. Xiao Qingting's Petrification Sickness relapsed. Qiong Xiong Ji E, heartbroken for his daughter, proactively took his daughter to seek Bai Cai's help.
Episode 21 Recap
Wu Geng inquired A Lan about Shen Yan. A Lan told him that Shen Yan was the Great Elder of the Hall of Sages, held a noble status, possessed the authority to judge sinful Immortals, and his Divine Power of the Void Domain was paramount.
Wu Geng recalled the scene he saw through Hai Kuo Tian Kong's residual soul consciousness, knowing that Shen Yan had harmed the entire Demon Clan through the Flower of Dawn, and believed that Shen Yan was even harder to deal with than Xin Yuekui. Qiong Xiong Ji E brought his daughter to Ni Tianerxing's tribe to find Bai Cai to treat his daughter.
Wu Geng saw that Xiao Qingting's Petrification Sickness had suddenly worsened and said he had a way to treat Xiao Qingting. It turned out that the six words Yong Heng Zhi Ye had previously given Wu Geng were "Burning Heaven Cave, Fire Bodhi". The Fire Bodhi was an ancient divine object that could relieve the pain of Petrification Sickness.
Wu Geng asked Qiong Xiong Ji E to first send his daughter to Bai Cai so that Bai Cai could help Xiao Qingting relieve the pain, while he would go to Burning Heaven Cave to retrieve the Fire Bodhi. Seeing his daughter critically ill, Qiong Xiong Ji E could only agree to hand her over to the Ni Tian tribe.
Wu Geng also warned Qiong Xiong Ji E that once he brought back the Fire Bodhi, this object must be shared with the entire clan and not consumed alone. Burning Heaven Cave was a forbidden land of the Demon Clan. Ni Tianerxing was worried about Wu Geng's safety and actively came to assist. He summoned his mount, Garuda, and went to Burning Heaven Cave with Wu Geng. Wu Geng and Ni Tianerxing arrived at Burning Heaven Cave.
Here, Wu Geng saw the remains of the ancient divine beast, the Phoenix. Wu Geng touched the Phoenix's remains and awakened its divine consciousness. The Phoenix learned that the two had trespassed into the forbidden land for the Fire Bodhi and attacked them. Wu Geng and Ni Tianerxing fought side-by-side, working together to break the Phoenix's test. The Phoenix also believed that anyone who could lead the anti-Immortal army and challenge the Immortal King must be peerlessly brave and mighty.
Seeing Wu Geng and Ni Tianerxing entrust their lives to each other, staying inseparable, was just like when it was with the Xin Kingdom back then. Because Wu Geng was the son of an old friend, the Phoenix's divine consciousness was awakened, and its spirit was able to be reborn from fire. The Fire Bodhi was also born from the Phoenix's nirvana. It bestowed this object upon Wu Geng.
Ni Tianerxing asked the most renowned doctor of the Demon Clan, Mu Wu Biaoqing, to use the Fire Bodhi to treat Xiao Qingting. However, Mu Wu Biaoqing was unable to summon the Fire Bodhi's energy. Wu Geng himself attempted to summon the Fire Bodhi using Divine Power, ultimately gaining the Fire Bodhi's recognition and successfully curing Xiao Qingting's Petrification Sickness.
Qiong Xiong Ji E saw his daughter safe and sound and was very grateful for Wu Geng and Bai Cai's help. He also promised never to contend for the Fire Bodhi. Ni Tianerxing wanted to throw the Fire Bodhi into the Zhiluo Mountain volcano crater and then channel power into the crater, hoping to transmit the Fire Bodhi's entire Divine Power through the mineral veins. This way, all the petrified members of the Demon Clan would be healed.
Ni Tianerxing wanted to use his own power to accomplish this, but given his physical condition, when the Fire Bodhi's entire power was released, it would also be the time of his death. Wu Geng learned of Ni Tianerxing's actions from Sui Feng Qi Wu and rushed to assist.
Ni Tianerxing said that Wu Geng bringing the Fire Bodhi for the Demon Clan was already a great act of righteousness, but Wu Geng stated that doing things for the Demon Clan people was also a decision in his heart. The two joined forces to channel Divine Power into Zhiluo Mountain, ultimately saving all the Demon Clan people. Wu Geng informed Ni Tianerxing of Sui Feng Qi Wu's feelings.
Ni Tianerxing said he knew Sui Feng Qi Wu's feelings but also stated that he was not qualified to respond. Bai Cai asked Mu Wu Biaoqing if the Demon Clan people would be free from the troubles of Petrification Sickness in the future. Mu Wu Biaoqing believed that the cause of Petrification Sickness was currently unknown, and it was best for the Demon Clan people to return to living on the surface.
Bai Cai believed that Wu Geng would definitely lead everyone back to the surface to fight for a new order of freedom and equality. Wu Geng fainted from exhaustion. Ni Tianerxing carried him back. Bai Cai was worried about Wu Geng's health. After Wu Geng woke up, he comforted Bai Cai, saying he would be fine after resting for some days. Bai Cai warned Wu Geng not to leave her again in the future.
Wu Geng also promised never to leave Bai Cai again. Both of them especially cherished their peaceful and free days.
Episode 22 Recap
Twelve of the thirteen great generals of the Demon Clan are now under Ni Tianerxing's command. Wu Geng asked Ni Tianerxing why he didn't make Qiong Xiong Ji E surrender. Ni Tianerxing stated that Qiong Xiong Ji E held significant military power and had many followers, and if he made a move against him, it would inevitably trigger a great war.
Back then, his elder brother Hai Kuo Tian Kong sought out the leaders of the thirteen tribes one by one for the future of the Demon Clan and subdued them. Hai Kuo Tian Kong defeated Qiong Xiong Ji E with absolute strength and took him under his command without dwelling on past grievances. Qiong Xiong Ji E also became one of the fiercest among the thirteen great generals.
Because his elder brother died after he went to the Immortal Domain to steal flowers, Qiong Xiong Ji E knew that revenge was hopeless, so he blamed Hai Kuo Tian Kong's death on Ni Tianerxing, and the Demon Realm has been divided ever since. As the Great Marshal of the Demon Clan, Ni Tianerxing promised Wu Geng that the Demon Clan would be his most loyal companion and comrade-in-arms.
However, Wu Geng believed that to achieve ultimate victory, they must strive to unite all possible forces. Ni Tianerxing had long since realized that A Lan was from the Shenyin Clan, but he also stated that although the Shenyin Clan had rebelled against the Immortal Clan, they were ultimately Immortal Clan, which was unacceptable to the Demon Clan both morally and emotionally. Ni Tianerxing sought out Mu Wu Biaoqing to check on his Petrification Sickness.
Mu Wu Biaoqing stated that even with the relief from the Fire Bodhi, Ni Tianerxing's Petrification Sickness was more severe than imagined; the petrified parts had already embedded into his internal organs. Even if he could help Ni Tianerxing hold on until the day of the general offensive, he could not guarantee that Ni Tianerxing wouldn't fall on the battlefield. A Lan tracked Ni Tianerxing and overheard his conversation with Mu Wu Biaoqing.
Subsequently, A Lan's whereabouts were discovered by Sui Feng Qi Wu. Sui Feng Qi Wu discovered A Lan's Immortal Clan identity and questioned her intentions for infiltrating the Demon Clan. A Lan stated that she had no ill will towards the Demon Clan and was only there for Wu Geng. Sui Feng Qi Wu did not believe A Lan's explanation. At this time, Dragon Tooth warriors came wanting to take A Lan away.
Fortunately, Ni Tianerxing arrived in time to save the heavily injured A Lan. Ni Tianerxing took A Lan to the medical hall for treatment. Fortunately, she was brought in promptly, and Mu Wu Biaoqing saved A Lan in time. Wu Geng rushed over and learned that people from Qiong Xiong Ji E had injured A Lan. Ni Tianerxing was willing to take responsibility for today's incident and admitted that he had not disciplined his subordinates strictly enough.
Ni Tianerxing stated that there was a hundred thousand year blood feud between the Demon Clan and the Immortal Clan, and the Demon Clan people could not accept a person from the Immortal Clan in such a short time. Wu Geng stated that the Demon Clan's disaster was brought by Hei Long and had nothing to do with the Shenyin Clan and A Lan.
Wu Geng believed that trust was the most important aspect of an alliance, and currently, he could not trust the Demon Clan. Ni Tianerxing stated that he would only target Hei Long and would never harm a friend. Wu Geng believed that to kill Hei Long, they must strike with a single blow, and they must unite the strength of the Demon Clan, the Human Clan, the Shenyin Clan, and all oppressed people in the world.
Wu Geng exposed the secret of the Flower of Dawn that Ni Tianerxing had concealed. He did not agree with Ni Tianerxing's lie, believing that all living beings in the Three Realms should not live in lies. Xin Yuekui ordered Zhui Ri to retrieve the Flower of Dawn. She inwardly admired Shen Yan's ruthlessness and also wanted to use this flower to stir up trouble.
Xin Yuekui brought the Flower of Dawn to the Demon Realm and bestowed it upon Old Laitou, telling him to plant this flower in the Demon Realm and tempting him to use it to contend for leadership of the Demon Realm. Qiong Xiong Ji E incited war under the pretext that the Ni Tian Tribe was colluding with the Immortal Clan. Ni Tianerxing also assembled his soldiers to prepare for battle.
A Lan learned that the war was caused by her Immortal Clan identity and could not stand by idly, so she went to stop it. On the battlefield, Ni Tianerxing told Qiong Xiong Ji E that A Lan was not a malicious person from the Immortal Clan but a victim oppressed by the Immortal Clan just like them. They had never abused Divine Power and had nothing to do with the Hei Long clan from a hundred thousand years ago.
Qiong Xiong Ji E did not listen to the explanation, and a great battle between the two sides was imminent. Seeing his clansmen killing each other, Ni Tianerxing was heartbroken. Old Laitou planted the Flower of Dawn in the Demon Clan. Soon, the Flower of Dawn spread rapidly throughout the Demon Clan. Old Laitou suffered the consequences and became a petrified person.
Meanwhile, Xin Yuekui ordered Zhui Ri to use Myriad Realm Divine Power to spread the Flower of Dawn's pollen onto the battlefield. Countless soldiers quickly turned into petrified people. Wu Geng and A Lan rushed to the battlefield and protected the remaining people on the battlefield with a Colorless Wall. At the same time, A Lan also used her Divine Power to disperse the Flower of Dawn pollen lingering on the battlefield.
Because A Lan used her Divine Power, her body, which had not yet recovered, was severely re-injured and she vomited blood. Xin Yuekui saw Wu Geng disrupting her plan and hated Wu Geng extremely. Therefore, she used Void Domain Divine Power to tell everyone in the Demon Clan the secret that Ni Tianerxing had painstakingly guarded: the Flower of Dawn was not an antidote for Petrification Sickness but rather the root cause of the Petrification Sickness suffered by the Demon Clan.
Episode 23 Recap
Xin Yuekui revealed the lie of the Flower of Dawn, causing panic in the Demon Realm. Wu Geng was displeased with Xin Yuekui's actions, so he defeated Zhui Ri's Myriad Realm Divine Power, preventing Xin Yuekui from continuing to incite panic in the Demon Realm. Ni Tianerxing was accused by the Demon Clan people of being a liar. Everyone was worried about their future lives.
Qiong Xiong Ji E was also worried and helpless about his daughter Xiao Qingting's Petrification Sickness. After this incident, Ni Tianerxing agreed with Wu Geng's statement. Previously, he thought he had preserved hope for his clansmen, but in reality, he only made the whole matter more cruel; the tragedy of fate would not change because of him. Wu Geng believed that everyone lived in a world of conquerors and conquered.
Success was never achieved overnight, and pioneers on the path forward were never fully understood by many people. Back then, King Xin rebelled against the Immortal Clan for the sake of his people, but in the end, he was cursed by the people for being a wicked ruler.
Later, he understood his father's choice: living was for the sake of righteousness, for a clear conscience before heaven and earth, for no regrets in one's heart, and for fearlessness in the face of cruelty. Ni Tianerxing thanked Wu Geng for his guidance. Afterwards, he publicly announced his resignation as the Great Marshal and stated that he would go to the cemetery tomorrow to receive the whip brand punishment, giving everyone an explanation.
The next day, Ni Tianerxing publicly declared that he had long been afflicted with Petrification Sickness. He had concealed his illness and used rumors from the Immortal Clan to mislead people. Yesterday, the Immortal Clan seized the opportunity to nearly plunge the entire Demon Clan into poisonous powder. He was willing to endure the whip brand punishment.
Ni Tianerxing recalled that his elder brother Hai Kuo Tian Kong once told him that only through the most painful trials could one achieve a new rebirth. Perhaps one day they would all die, but their spirit would be passed on to the next generation, ensuring that the Demon Clan would never admit defeat. Ni Tianerxing instructed his subordinate Tiexue Wushuang to carry out the execution.
He endured the pain of the punishment, calling upon his clansmen to unite for a bright future for the next generation, pleading with them not to stop because of his mistakes, and emphasizing that everyone must unite for the future of the Demon Clan.
Seeing that Ni Tianerxing could no longer endure the whip brand, Wu Geng intentionally stepped forward and told Tiexue Wuqing to continue the punishment, stating that the Demon Clan people were all impartial and would not tolerate Tiexue Wuqing bending the law for personal gain. Wu Geng pointed out that while Ni Tianerxing was wrong to conceal the lie, it was his unification of the tribes that led to the Demon Clan's current life.
The Demon Clan people were now repaying kindness with resentment and showed no gratitude for Ni Tianerxing's benevolence. Seeing that Ni Tianerxing preferred to die under the whip brand punishment rather than on the battlefield, Wu Geng accused him of having forgotten their shared determination to defeat Hei Long. The Demon Clan people also gradually came to their senses. Everyone united, determined to fight the Immortal Clan to the death.
Sui Feng Qi Wu came to visit the severely injured Ni Tianerxing. She was angry in her heart that Ni Tianerxing valued sentiment and righteousness so much, carrying the Demon Clan people in his heart but not her, and also hated that he had never responded to her feelings. To persuade Qiong Xiong Ji E to agree to their challenge, Ni Tianerxing wanted the Demon Clan to unite again.
Ni Tianerxing told Sui Feng Qi Wu that his time was running out. Sui Feng Qi Wu was extremely grieved and hoped that Ni Tianerxing would not get injured again before facing Hei Long. She hoped to have Ni Tianerxing by her side when the day of light returned. Ni Tianerxing went to meet Qiong Xiong Ji E for the challenge.
Ni Tianerxing promised that if Qiong Xiong Ji E won the match, he would give up the position of Great Marshal. After a round of competition, Ni Tianerxing successfully won the challenge, and Qiong Xiong Ji E lost convinced. Subsequently, Qiong Xiong Ji E brought his tribe to submit to Ni Tianerxing. Ni Tianerxing told everyone that Wu Geng possessed Colorless Realm Divine Power and was also the one who broke the Demon Realm's hundred-thousand-year seal.
Wu Geng risked his life to obtain the Fire Bodhi, resolving the pain of the Demon Clan's Petrification Sickness, and was the best choice to lead the Anti-Immortal Clan Army. Now the Demon Clan, Human Clan, and Shenyin Clan were gathered together. Wu Geng also stated that their common goal was to attack the Immortal Domain and execute Hei Long.
For the hundred-thousand-year vision of endless life, and for a future with freedom and light, Wu Geng urged everyone to work together and place trust in their companions beside them. For this, he was willing to ally with everyone, not fearing death to resist the Immortal Clan. Wu Geng asked A Lan to introduce the history of the Immortal Clan to everyone. A Lan introduced the origin and specific locations of the Immortal Domain.
The Immortal Domain had two major central institutions: Xin Yuekui's Priest Hall and the Sage Hall of Shen Yan. To meet Hei Long, they must first defeat the Six Ministries of the Immortal Domain from the Priest Hall and the Hundred Immortals from the Sage Hall. To attack the Immortal Domain, they needed to take a sea route, which would definitely require warships. Wu Geng knew that the state of Xin back then was skilled in seafaring and shipbuilding.
He wanted to return to the state of Xin to find helpers. Before leaving, Wu Geng went to see the Undying Bird. The Undying Bird told him that Shi Xing was not dead but was stubbornly unwilling to wake up. Wu Geng tried to provoke Shi Xing, and indeed awakened the competitive Shi Xing. Shi Xing blamed himself for personally killing Ming Yue and destroying the King's City. He was willing to accept punishment in this place.
However, Wu Geng believed that all of this was controlled by Xin Yuekui and not what Shi Xing truly intended. But Shi Xing kept evading, not daring to seek revenge against the mastermind.
Episode 24 Recap
Wu Geng fiercely cursed Shi Xing as selfish, foolish, and cowardly, blaming him for killing Ming Yue and the people of the King's City. He pointed out that Shi Xing knew the true culprit was the Immortal Clan but didn't dare to seek revenge, using death as an excuse for liberation. Wu Geng told Shi Xing to summon his strength and go fight, to fulfill his responsibility.
Motivated by Wu Geng, Shi Xing successfully awakened and also decided to seek out the Immortal Clan for battle. Since King Xin's death in battle, the Undying Bird had been searching for the next body for rebirth through fire. It asked Shi Xing if he was willing to form a contract with it to fight against the sinful gods. Shi Xing readily agreed to form a contract with the Undying Bird.
Afterward, Shi Xing decided to return to the King's City to protect it and promised Wu Geng that he would arrive in time when Wu Geng needed him. Ni Tianerxing, to thank Bai Cai for her recent help, specifically taught her the Demon Clan's Escape Technique and told her to practice diligently. Sui Feng Qi Wu asked Bai Cai to apologize to A Lan on her behalf, saying that what happened before was her mistake.
Although Bai Cai had previously resented Sui Feng Qi Wu, she later understood that Sui Feng Qi Wu had only made the right choice as a member of the Demon Clan. Bai Cai told Sui Feng Qi Wu that A Lan actually no longer blamed her. Sui Feng Qi Wu confided in Bai Cai about her emotional problems.
She understood why Ni Tianerxing didn't accept her and envied that Bai Cai and Wu Geng could express their love freely and without restraint. Wu Geng, Bai Cai, and A Lan decided to leave the Demon Clan. They specifically said goodbye to everyone. Ni Tianerxing gave Wu Geng a Demon Clan communication crystal to facilitate future contact between the two. After bidding farewell to the Demon Clan, Wu Geng, Bai Cai, and A Lan returned to the state of Xin.
Wu Geng used his Colorless Realm Divine Power to block Xin Yuekui's Emptiness Perception Realm and took the opportunity to tell Xin Yuekui that he was currently in the state of Xin. Wu Geng believed that Zhou Qiao was far from being as loyal to the Immortal Clan as he appeared. He wanted to find an opportunity to win over Zhou Qiao to oppose the Immortal Clan together.
Bai Cai prepared to return to the orphan carriage to find the orphans from back then. A Lan went to contact the Shenyin Clan, while Wu Geng went to look for a shipwright. The whereabouts of the few were discovered by Zhou Qiao, who sent people to track Bai Cai. On the way, Wu Geng discovered General An being attacked. He intervened and rescued General An but unexpectedly found that General An had been harmed and was mentally unclear.
Wu Geng used Qi Refining technique to summon General An's consciousness, successfully helping him recover his senses. Bai Cai returned to the orphan village and met the children they had relied on each other with in the past. At the same time, she learned from the children that the people now no longer ate grain to sustain themselves but ate a type of fruit to fill their hunger. Gui Mu summoned Zhou Qiao from Chen Jing.
It turned out that King Bó was gravely ill, and Gui Mu hoped Zhou Qiao would return to manage state affairs on his behalf. Zhou Qiao informed Gui Mu that Wu Geng and Bai Cai had returned to the state of Xin. Gui Mu ordered him to immediately investigate their whereabouts. Wu Geng asked General An about his experiences over the years. It turned out that after Wu Geng left, General An's whereabouts were exposed.
Fearing he would implicate the children, he began to hide everywhere. He couldn't find food in the city and later learned that the people were eating the fruit of Eternal Prosperity. When he was at his wit's end, he also ate one. By the time he realized the problem, he found that his body had already undergone strange changes. Wu Geng knew that this fruit would invade one's consciousness and ultimately claim lives.
Wu Geng learned from General An that in recent years, rumors of man-eating monsters had also spread in the city. Because of this, he had some suspicions. Zhou Qiao brought people to besiege the orphan village. He threatened Bai Cai with the children's lives. Bai Cai alone was no match for the many. At a critical moment, Xin Yuekui intervened, taking Zhou Qiao away, and warned him not to harm Bai Cai in the future.
It turned out that Xin Yuekui knew Bai Cai was someone who could kill Wu Geng. By showing kindness to Bai Cai now, she hoped that one day, she could use the relationship between Wu Geng and A Gou to make Bai Cai kill Wu Geng. General An was attacked because he was mistaken for a man-eating monster. Wu Geng originally planned to take General An away but unexpectedly reunited with Shitou and Ade.
It turned out that Shitou and Ade had become guards in the royal palace and wanted to obtain first-hand information about the palace so they could assist Wu Geng if he needed their help. Bai Cai was injured protecting the children. The children told Bai Cai to eat the fruit of Eternal Prosperity, saying it could heal her wounds. Just as Bai Cai was about to eat the fruit of Eternal Prosperity, Wu Geng arrived in time to stop her.
Wu Geng did not plan to take everyone away from this place. He wanted to wait here for Zhou Qiao to arrive. Bai Cai saw General An, Shitou, and Ade. Everyone was very happy to reunite after a long time apart.
Episode 25 Recap
General An believed that Wu Geng had awakened Divine Power, defeated a Great God, and formed an alliance with the Demon Clan. He believed Wu Geng would surely lead them to rebuild the state of Xin. Wu Geng did not plan to start a war with the state of Bo; he wanted to thoroughly defeat the Immortal Clan so that the common people would no longer be enslaved. Wu Geng expressed his idea of finding a shipwright.
It happened that General An knew an old craftsman who missed the state of Xin and was proficient in this skill. Bai Cai inquired about the Fruit of Eternal Prosperity from Adé and Shitou. Adé said that the Fruit of Eternal Prosperity was bestowed by the Immortal Clan and was now the food staple for the people of the state of Bo. They believed that something obtained without labor was certainly not a good thing.
Initially, the Fruit of Eternal Prosperity was planted within the city. Later, King Bo suddenly requested that the Fruit of Eternal Prosperity be planted outside the city. Adé even speculated that King Bo was imprisoned by Gui Mu because of this matter. Wu Geng asked Adé to investigate the matter of the state of Bo's imprisonment. They also wanted to form an alliance with the state of Bo as soon as possible.
General An was very pleased to see Wu Geng now both wise and brave. He thought Wu Geng and Bai Cai were already married and was happy for King Xin and the Queen. However, Wu Geng explained that they were not married. General An reminded Wu Geng that they had not been married for a long time and wondered if Miss Bai Cai had any complaints in her heart. Bai Cai missed their former life.
Although the days were hard, they didn't have to live in fear. The past days were gone, just like A Gou could not return to his former foolish appearance. Wu Geng asked Bai Cai to talk about how A Gou used to be and comforted her, saying that as long as they were together, their home would always be there. Wu Geng embraced Bai Cai, hoping they would marry after he defeated Hei Long. Bai Cai readily agreed.
In her dream, Bai Cai dreamt that A Gou was not the real A Gou. Xin Yuekui also appeared beside her, trying to sow discord between her and A Gou. A panicked Bai Cai awoke from her dream. She asked Wu Geng, who was by her side, if he was the A Gou she had lived with since childhood. Wu Geng did not deny it, but Bai Cai still had doubts in her heart.
Xin Yuekui wanted to use the illusion of the Emptiness Perception Realm to shake the relationship between Wu Geng and Bai Cai, thereby making Bai Cai hate Wu Geng. Wu Geng inferred from General An's physical condition that once the Fruit of Eternal Prosperity was stopped, illness would occur. The reason the common people had no abnormalities was because they continuously consumed this item.
General An speculated that the longer the Fruit of Eternal Prosperity was eaten, the greater the harm would be. The children couldn't eat the food Bai Cai made and instead wanted to continue eating the Fruit of Eternal Prosperity. Xin Yuekui suddenly appeared and knocked unconscious the children who wanted to escape to eat the Fruit of Eternal Prosperity, and told Bai Cai that these children were already poisoned.
Wu Geng was worried about Adé, who had gone to the royal palace to investigate. He personally went to the royal palace to investigate. On his way out of the royal palace, Adé was discovered by Zhou Qiao. Zhou Qiao found that Adé was someone who had followed Wu Geng before and believed that Adé was scouting the royal palace for Wu Geng. Zhou Qiao was about to attack Adé, but Wu Geng appeared in time to stop him.
Wu Geng pointed out that in the eyes of the Immortal Clan, Zhou Qiao was merely a lowly slave, and the Immortal Clan would not care about him. Adé told Zhou Qiao that King Bo was imprisoned in a cell and no longer seemed alive. Zhou Qiao did not want to believe it. Wu Geng told Zhou Qiao to go and confirm it himself. Gui Mu happened to appear, so Wu Geng had to leave the royal palace with Adé.
Gui Mu found that Wu Geng was not currently with Bai Cai and hurried to the orphan village to find Bai Cai. Wu Geng told Adé his true identity was Wu Geng, the prince of the state of Xin, but he could only live as A Gou for now. Adé did not care about Wu Geng's identity. What he cared about was the great hero who rescued them from the mine back then.
Bai Cai could not treat the sick children. Xin Yuekui appeared again and told Bai Cai that Qi Refining technique was needed to treat these children, and Wu Geng was someone proficient in Qi Refining technique. She also deliberately revealed that General An was saved by Wu Geng using Qi Refining technique. Because of Xin Yuekui's words, Bai Cai again suspected A Gou's identity. Gui Mu originally wanted to attack Bai Cai but was stopped by Xin Yuekui.
Because of this, he was once again dissatisfied with Xin Yuekui. Zhou Qiao came to find his father, King Zhou Fa, and unexpectedly discovered that his father's body had begun to petrify. Gui Mu appeared and asked Zhou Qiao if he was willing to join forces with Wu Geng for his biological father. In front of Gui Mu, Zhou Qiao stated that when he was young, his father sent him to the state of Xin as a hostage.
Although they were father and son in reality, they had no father-son affection. He only wished he could kill Wu Geng as soon as possible. Zhou Qiao only acknowledged Gui Mu as his adoptive father, which greatly disappointed King Zhou Fa. Meanwhile, Wu Geng found A Lan and told her about the Fruit of Eternal Prosperity. Wu Geng believed that the trees of the Fruit of Eternal Prosperity outside the city were all transformed from people.
There were no man-eating monsters in the city at all; those who disappeared had all turned into trees. A Lan had never seen the Tree of Eternal Prosperity, but she had heard the patriarch of the Kong Que clan mention it and knew that Qi Refining technique was useful against this tree. Wu Geng knew that Zi Yu had been to Fantasy Island. A Lan proactively suggested going to find Zi Yu for help.
Gui Mu told Zhou Qiao that humans could never defeat the Immortal Clan and that he could give Zhou Qiao the throne he desired. Now that Wu Geng knew Zhou Fa's condition, he would definitely come to rescue him. Zhou Qiao offered a plan, willing to catch Wu Geng in a trap, like catching a turtle in a jar, and capture him.
Episode 26 Recap
Bai Cai followed the message butterfly and found Wu Geng and A Lan outside the city. She told Wu Geng about the children's poisoning. Wu Geng found that his Qi Refining technique could not completely cure the children for now. These children had eaten too much Fruit of Eternal Prosperity and were deeply poisoned. Bai Cai soothed the children who wanted the Fruit of Eternal Prosperity. Full of doubts, she went for a walk alone.
Xin Yuekui appeared by Bai Cai's side again. She told Bai Cai another thing: Wu Geng and A Gou were two completely different people, and who would care about A Gou's death? Xin Yuekui found that her Emptiness Perception Realm illusion was gradually taking effect. She looked forward to the day when Bai Cai would obediently listen to her.
Xin Yuekui was wary of Wu Geng's Nirvāṇa Realm Divine Power, so she could only bewitch her when Bai Cai was alone. A Lan, who was secretly following Bai Cai, discovered Bai Cai's abnormality. She asked Bai Cai but did not get an answer. A Lan hoped Bai Cai could trust Wu Geng. A Lan was troubled that Bai Cai was hiding something from her. Fu Xi managed to use his Divine Power to see A Lan.
He sensed that the constellation representing the Martial God was shaking, guessing that Xin Yuekui was trying to change Wu Geng's destiny. He told A Lan to always be mindful of the people around Wu Geng. A Lan sensed that someone was using Emptiness Perception Realm Divine Power to interfere with Bai Cai's mind. Fu Xi told A Lan to remember the instruction to kill Bai Cai if necessary.
He also believed that Wu Geng and A Lan would definitely fulfill their mission. Meanwhile, Xin Yuekui sensed something abnormal and also discovered Fu Xi's suggestion to A Lan to kill Bai Cai if necessary. Wu Geng found Bai Cai in the city. He gave Bai Cai the hairpin his mother had left for him as a token of his affection. Bai Cai thanked Wu Geng.
Wu Geng originally wanted to take the opportunity to tell Bai Cai about his background, but unexpectedly, the Xie Shen Festival started at this time, so he could only rush to the royal palace to take action first. Wu Geng came to the royal palace and asked Bai Cai to first rescue Zhou Fa.
He asked Zhou Qiao to agree to a few conditions: first, vindicate King Xin and restore their reputation; second, destroy all Fruit of Eternal Prosperity and make public the Immortal Clan's use of the Fruit of Eternal Prosperity to harm the common people. Zhou Qiao did not believe that humans could defeat the Immortal Clan, and he did not want the state of Bo to follow the path of the state of Xin.
Wu Geng knew that Gui Mu's target was Bai Cai, and Gui Mu had also placed slow-acting poison locusts on Zhou Fa, which could track Bai Cai's whereabouts. Gui Mu tracked Bai Cai. Although he did not know why the High Priestess was always paying attention to Bai Cai, now that Wu Geng had blocked Xin Yuekui's Guān Lín mirror with his Nirvāṇa Realm Divine Power, he had a chance to deal with Bai Cai.
Just as Gui Mu was feeling smug, he discovered that the person carrying Zhou Fa in front of him was actually Wu Geng. Wu Geng pressed Gui Mu about the matter of the Tree of Eternal Prosperity. It turned out that the Tree of Eternal Prosperity was transformed from human forms. As long as one ate it once, they had to continue eating it. If they stopped or disobeyed orders, they would turn into a Tree of Eternal Prosperity.
Upon hearing Gui Mu's own words, Zhou Qiao no longer wanted to be bewitched by him. He personally injured Gui Mu and agreed to cooperate with Wu Geng. After being severely injured, Gui Mu unleashed his Divine Power, causing those who had eaten the Fruit of Eternal Prosperity to completely transform into Trees of Eternal Prosperity. Bai Cai personally witnessed Zhou Fa and the children transform into Trees of Eternal Prosperity before her eyes.
The branches the children had turned into also wrapped around Bai Cai, trying to kill her. Wu Geng arrived in time and tried to chop off the branches to save Bai Cai, but Bai Cai was worried about hurting the children. At the critical moment, Zi Yu arrived to help, successfully saving Bai Cai and the children. Zi Yu asked Wu Geng to pass on the Qi Refining technique to A Lan.
Through A Lan's Divine Power, they successfully saved the people of the entire city. Zhou Qiao imprisoned Gui Mu. Gui Mu believed that given Zhou Qiao's act of humiliating King Xin's corpse back then, Wu Geng would not spare him, and the Immortal Clan would even less so. Although the children were safe, Bai Cai was completely relieved, but she also confirmed that the A Gou in front of her was indeed Wu Geng, the prince of the state of Xin.
Episode 27 Recap
Bai Cai thought of what Xin Yuekui had said, that the hairpin A Gou had given her was something belonging to King Xin's queen, Xin Yuehu. And the real identity of the A Gou she knew was Wu Geng, the prince of the state of Xin. Bai Cai called Wu Geng aside and revealed his true identity. Wu Geng explained that he was both Wu Geng and A Gou. But Bai Cai still felt that she had lost A Gou.
She had sensed it all along, but she had always been unwilling to think deeply about this matter, even deceiving herself that Wu Geng was her A Gou. Bai Cai did not believe that Wu Geng was A Gou. She believed that Wu Geng was a high and mighty prince, a hero who saved the mine slaves and the people of the state of Bo.
He carried the weight of national vengeance, family hatred, and the lives of the world, but A Gou was simple-minded, only knowing to rely on her. Now, she had lost A Gou. Bai Cai's emotions collapsed, unwilling to listen to Wu Geng's explanation, and even less able to accept Wu Geng. Zhou Qiao asked Zi Yu if there was a way to extend his father King Zhou Fa's life.
Zi Yu believed that Zhou Fa now had no will to survive at all. Before his death, Zhou Fa instructed Zhou Qiao to walk his own path well. Zhou Qiao was deeply grieved to see his father die tragically before his eyes.
Wu Geng saw Zhou Qiao's ulterior motive; he knew that Zhou Qiao did not want Zhou Fa to die simply because he temporarily did not want to ascend the throne, because Gui Mu was injured, and the Immortal Clan's revenge would naturally follow. Zhou Qiao was unwilling to bear the Immortal Clan's revenge. Wu Geng stated that King Bo, like King Xin, dared to fight against the Immortal Clan, and such a King Bo earned his respect.
Whether it was resisting the Immortal Clan or being a lackey of the Immortal Clan, these were the paths everyone chose. Wu Geng knew that King Bo wanted his son to walk a correct path of his own. But Zhou Qiao believed that humans had nowhere left to go. Wu Geng speculated that the Immortal Clan already knew about the abnormality in the state of Bo but did not understand why Xin Yuekui had not made a move yet.
Wu Geng chatted about family matters with his uncle Zi Yu. Zi Yu believed that the gathering and dispersion of fate were everyone's own choices, and some people, once missed, were a lifetime. Wu Geng also wanted to find an opportunity to explain thoroughly to Bai Cai, but there were too many matters in the state of Bo currently, and the urgent priority was to rescue the common people. General An brought Master Craftsman Zhang, who was skilled in shipbuilding.
The group discussed how to build warships that could resist Divine Power natural disasters, had combat capabilities, and could reach the ruins on the sea. Bai Cai discovered A Lan following her. She told A Lan that A Gou was very important to her. In her memory, Prince Wu Geng was a person who bullied the weak and could not distinguish right from wrong. She could not accept that A Gou was Wu Geng now.
A Lan said that many lies and concealments in this world were well-intentioned and not meant to hurt others. But Bai Cai believed there were no lies between her and A Gou and always thought that the most important thing between people was honesty. Zhou Qiao released Gui Mu and had him take him to see Xin Yuekui.
Zhou Qiao told Xin Yuekui that Prince Wu Geng of the state of Xin had burned the Fruit of Eternal Prosperity and ambushed Gui Mu, requesting Xin Yuekui and other great Immortals to descend and punish Wu Geng. For the sake of her plan, Xin Yuekui had Zhou Qiao cooperate with her actions and also promised that after the plan succeeded, she would let Zhou Qiao forever rule the human world.
Zhou Qiao used Gui Mu to see Xin Yuekui, but subsequently, he did not show gratitude to Gui Mu. Instead, he continued to imprison him, planning to kill Gui Mu after the anti-Immortal army arrived. Wu Geng's identity was exposed in front of the common people. Wu Geng saw the current plight of the common people and promised to take care of their lives. Zhazha unexpectedly met Wu Geng in the state of Bo.
He knelt before Wu Geng, wanting to become his disciple. Faced with Zhazha's relentless pestering, Wu Geng was forced to take on a disciple. Bai Cai asked A Lan for help to buy flour. A Lan unexpectedly found Bai Cai's farewell note in the money bag Bai Cai gave her. Bai Cai returned to the demon realm alone. Wu Geng learned from Zhazha that Chen Jing was the leader of the Wan Qu tribe.
The Immortal Clan wanted to extensively repair the Immortal Temple and invaded the Wan Qu tribe with people. Chen Jing failed but was cursed to be trapped in the mine forever because his Qi Refining technique was superb. Wu Geng asked Zhazha to return to the mine first. He would go find Zhazha for help after he finished his current tasks.
Episode 28 Recap
Bai Cai returned to the demon realm alone. Xin Yuekui suddenly appeared before her. Xin Yuekui continued to manipulate Bai Cai, using A Gou's death to intensify the hatred in Bai Cai's heart towards Wu Geng, ultimately gaining complete control over Bai Cai. Wu Geng returned to the orphan village and found that Bai Cai had left. Subsequently, Zhou Qiao appeared and asked Wu Geng to enter the palace.
He agreed to pay respects to King Xin and the Queen and was also willing to publicize the fact that the Immortal Clan had harmed the common people with the Fruit of Eternal Prosperity. Zhou Qiao stated that he would open the palace gates early tomorrow morning, allowing the common people and Wu Geng to pay respects to King Xin together. At that time, Wu Geng could tell the common people about the Fruit of Eternal Prosperity.
Although Wu Geng suspected that Zhou Qiao had ulterior motives, he could only ask Zhou Qiao to help him find Bai Cai, while he himself entered the palace in advance to prepare for the ancestral worship. Bai Cai's mind was currently clouded and completely under Xin Yuekui's control. She instructed Zhou Qiao to quietly give Bai Cai the juice of the Fruit of Eternal Prosperity to drink. This would make Bai Cai's mind unstable and even cause hallucinations.
Bai Cai was taken to the Star Picking Tower and learned that A Gou had died there, and that he had been killed by Xin Yuehu. For this, Xin Yuekui even fabricated a scene where Xin Yuehu killed A Gou and injected Wu Geng's Divine Power into A Gou. Witnessing A Gou die before her eyes, Bai Cai hated Wu Geng and was even manipulated by Xin Yuekui into wanting to kill Wu Geng to avenge A Gou.
A Lan discovered Bai Cai's whereabouts and witnessed her being manipulated into wanting to kill Wu Geng. For the sake of Wu Geng and the greater cause, A Lan wanted to kill Bai Cai. She, who had not believed in prophecies, finally believed Fu Xi's prophecy. Wu Geng was unaware of her actions. A Lan asked Bai Cai to blame everything on her and not blame Wu Geng.
She moved to directly kill Bai Cai, but unexpectedly was secretly captured by Zhou Qiao. Bai Cai stopped Zhou Qiao from harming A Lan and also agreed to the plan for tomorrow. Zhou Qiao, acting on Xin Yuekui's orders, sent Zi Yu away in advance and imprisoned A Lan in the dungeon to use A Lan to threaten Wu Geng in case of accidents tomorrow. The next day, Wu Geng paid respects to his parents in the palace.
He publicly exempted the common people from kneeling and also stated that although he was alone and isolated, he did not fear powerful forces. His father, the King, and his mother, the Queen, were worthy of heaven and earth and worthy of the common people. He hoped that the common people would remember that the common people existed before the Immortals, and the populace came before heaven. Subsequently, Wu Geng saw Bai Cai on the altar.
He asked Bai Cai to accompany him in paying respects to his parents, but Bai Cai publicly questioned Wu Geng about how her A Gou had died. She held a dagger and stabbed at Wu Geng to avenge A Gou. Wu Geng realized he had fallen into Zhou Qiao's trap. He told General An and others to protect the common people. Seeing Xin Yuekui and Bai Cai joining forces to kill him, Wu Geng felt heartbroken.
Xin Yuekui destroyed the altar, and Tai Ji and others appeared to assist Xin Yuekui. Because Wu Geng was injured by a specially made dagger, his Divine Power was suppressed, preventing him from using the Divine Power of the Colorless Realm. Xin Yuekui also ordered Bai Cai to kill Wu Geng. Bai Cai questioned Wu Geng whether he was Wu Geng or A Gou.
Wu Geng stated that no matter who he was, he would protect Bai Cai for his entire life. At the last moment, Bai Cai chose to believe Wu Geng, and the two joined forces to control Xin Yuekui and the Six Great Immortals instead. It turned out that Wu Geng had long planned with Ni Tianerxing to lure out Xin Yuekui and the Six Great Immortals, and he also knew Xin Yuekui's purpose in approaching Bai Cai. He had already told Bai Cai his identity and asked Bai Cai to pretend to be manipulated, thereby using the opponent's plan against them to trap Xin Yuekui and the Six Great Immortals.
Episode 29 Recap
Xin Yuekui considered Wu Geng overconfident, thinking he could resist them by himself. Wu Geng believed he was fighting for the people of the world, and the people of the world would ally to help him. Subsequently, Zi Dian, Kong Que clan leader, Yun Zhongzi, A Lan, Zi Yu, Ni Tianerxing, Sui Feng Qi Wu, Qiong Xiong Jí È and others came forward to help him. Xin Yuekui realized that Zhou Qiao had betrayed her.
Wu Geng did not deny Zhou Qiao's act of "hiding the sky and crossing the sea". Shi Xing arrived to help, bringing his Undying Phoenix body. Shi Xing stated that he was no longer the son of the Immortal King; he was just a wanderer filled with hatred who had forgotten his name. He wanted to use the deaths of Xin Yuekui and others to mourn his beloved Ming Yue.
Ni Tianerxing also formally declared war on the Immortal Clan on behalf of the Demon Clan. Wu Geng also believed that Xin Yuekui was deeply wicked, oppressing the Human Race and the Shenyin Clan, and trampling on the lives of the Demon people with the Flower of Dawn. Today they gathered here to punish Xin Yuekui. Both sides fought their own battles.
Wu Geng told Bai Cai to use Void-Traveling Art to move the people in the palace to a safe place, while he stayed behind to deal with Xin Yuekui. Zi Dian was injured by Zhui Ri. Kong Que clan leader persuaded her brother Zhui Ri not to continue fighting. They both belonged to the same clan, but the current Immortal Clan was rotten and unbearable.
Although Zhui Ri disliked the Immortal Clan's ways, he believed that if the Immortal authority collapsed, the three realms would inevitably fall into panic. Kong Que clan leader could not persuade Zhui Ri, and they clashed again. Yun Zhongzi, Kong Que clan leader, A Lan, and Zi Dian jointly dealt with Zhui Ri. Zhui Ri was finally defeated by their combined efforts. Zi Yu used his full strength to fight Liu Yue. Liu Yue was ultimately defeated.
Tai Ji, seeing that the two were no match for Zi Yu, hurriedly took Liu Yue and left. Shi Xing fought against Tian Kui. He believed that what Tian Kui protected his whole life was something he would destroy even if it cost him his life. The two's Divine Power was evenly matched. Finally, Shi Xing summoned the Undying Phoenix Divine Power, found Tian Kui's weakness, and ultimately killed Tian Kui.
On the other side, Wu Geng engaged Xin Yuekui in battle. Xin Yuekui underestimated Wu Geng's Divine Power and was eventually injured by Wu Geng, spitting up blood. Zhou Qiao escorted Gui Mu before Xin Yuekui. Gui Mu pleaded with Zhou Qiao to spare him for the sake of their father-son relationship. However, Zhou Qiao had already sided with Wu Geng today. He gambled that Wu Geng would win today's victory.
Subsequently, Zhou Qiao personally killed Gui Mu in front of Xin Yuekui. Due to her severe injuries, Xin Yuekui suffered a backlash from the spells she cultivated. Subsequently, Ni Tianerxing, A Lan, and others also returned to assist Wu Geng. Seeing that the Four Great Immortals were completely annihilated, Xin Yuekui wanted to seize the opportunity to escape but was stopped by Wu Geng using the Divine Power of the Colorless Realm.
In the Immortal Realm, Sage King Xuan Feng and Sage King Bai Lian saw the Human Race's resistance against the Immortal Clan. Immortal Eye believed that Xin Yuekui's control over the Human Race had issues. Now that nearly half of the Six Department Great Immortals were lost, Immortal Eye worried that the Immortal King would be unhappy upon learning this. He ordered Sage King Xuan Feng and Sage King Bai Lian to descend to help.
Wu Geng originally wanted to deal with Xin Yuekui himself. At this moment, Sage King Xuan Feng and Sage King Bai Lian descended to help. Everyone joined forces to resist the Divine Power of Sage King Xuan Feng and Sage King Bai Lian, but they soon discovered that none of them were a match for Sage King Xuan Feng.
Sage King Xuan Feng stated that he had no intention of being their enemy; his goal was simply to take away the Grand Priestess Xin Yuekui. Wu Geng and the others were powerless to stop Sage King Xuan Feng. The subsequent Divine Power of Sage King Bai Lian was even more overwhelming. Sage King Xuan Feng told Wu Geng that if he wanted to defeat Hei Long, he needed to realize the disparity in strength.
Sage King Bai Lian wanted to kill Wu Geng and the others with one blow, but unexpectedly, Wu Geng resolved it. Unwilling to give up, Sage King Bai Lian wanted to kill everyone again, but Immortal Eye ordered him to stop, telling him not to waste time grappling with a group of slaves.
Episode 30 Recap
Shi Xing originally wanted to pursue Xin Yuekui into the Immortal Realm and kill her, but Wu Geng persuaded him that impatience spoils great plans. The attack on the Immortal Realm was already in the works. Although they underestimated the power of the Immortal Realm, they should not act rashly.
Zhou Qiao, as the Great King of Xiang State, wanted to host a banquet to celebrate defeating the Immortal Realm's Six Departments, but Wu Geng believed the Six Departments were insignificant in the Immortal Realm's power structure, and this achievement was not worth mentioning. The Demon Clan, Shenyin Clan, and Human Race all expressed that they would fight together and accompany Wu Geng to confront the Immortal King. Wu Geng also promised not to fail everyone's trust.
Zi Yu saw that the appearance of Sage King Xuan Feng and Sage King Bai Lian brought new pressure on Wu Geng. Wu Geng also admitted that the gap between the Six Departments of the Immortal Realm and the Sage Kings was vast, and the gap between the Sage Kings and Hei Long was even like heaven and earth. This battle in Xiang City made him feel that the war against the Immortal Clan was more difficult than expected.
Zi Yu believed that in this battle, they severely damaged the Immortal Realm's Six Departments, and it also showed him Wu Geng's strategy and strength. Wu Geng made everyone feel belief, strength, and hope. Zi Yu asked Wu Geng how he made Xin Yuekui willingly fall into the trap in this battle.
Wu Geng told Uncle Zi Yu that he used the Colorless Realm Divine Power to isolate Xin Yuekui's prying eyes and took the opportunity to tell Bai Cai the reason why he was both A Gou and Wu Geng. Wu Geng also expressed that he wanted to confess everything to Bai Cai from the beginning, but as they slowly spent time together, he became timid about confessing. Wu Geng feared that Bai Cai would leave him after he revealed everything.
Bai Cai chose to believe Wu Geng and also agreed to keep the matter a secret. Zi Yu was relieved that Wu Geng and Bai Cai trusted each other and was completely at ease about the two of them. To fight against the Immortal Clan, General An trained the soldiers for the future battle.
Wu Geng told the soldiers that although they were not opponents of the Immortal Clan in single combat, as long as they trained diligently, they would eventually be able to fight the Immortal Clan. After this battle, Wu Geng believed that the Immortal Realm would definitely be on guard, and he discussed with Ni Tianerxing that it would be more appropriate to enter the Immortal Realm without anyone noticing.
Wu Geng wanted to enter the Immortal Realm by using the bloodstone transport ships. To hide their anti-Immortal army, the two discussed building transport ships. Ni Tianerxing had long discovered that Wu Geng had been poisoned by Sage King Bai Lian's Ground Treasury Realm Divine Power. He persuaded Wu Geng that this matter was life-threatening and should not be taken lightly.
Bai Cai learned that Shi Xing was about to leave and specifically made steamed buns for Shi Xing to enjoy. Shi Xing lamented the defeat Wu Geng inflicted upon the Immortal Realm and also believed that given time, he could fight the Immortal King. Wu Geng and Bai Cai saw off Zi Yu. Wu Geng was reluctant to part with Uncle Zi Yu. Zi Yu said he always remembered the promise between him and Wu Geng.
No matter how far the journey, as long as Wu Geng needed him, he would rush there in time. After seeing off Zi Yu and Shi Xing, Wu Geng collapsed due to the poison. Bai Cai hurriedly brought him before the Kong Que clan leader, but the Kong Que clan leader admitted that Sage King Bai Lian's poison was the best in the three realms and she was powerless; only ancient Divine Power could cure it.
Bai Cai used her ancient Divine Power to detoxify Wu Geng all night. The Kong Que clan leader confirmed that this method did indeed alleviate Wu Geng's poison. Bai Cai privately called out A Lan to ask if Fu Xi had ever made a prophecy before and if the attempt to kill her was related to that prophecy.
Bai Cai anticipated that her existence would definitely disrupt their overall plan, which was why Fu Xi and A Lan had no choice but to try and kill her. Under Bai Cai's questioning, A Lan told her about Fu Xi's prophecy that someone close to Wu Geng would push him off a cliff in the future. Bai Cai pleaded with A Lan that if she ever harmed Wu Geng one day, she hoped A Lan would kill her.
A Lan felt guilty that she had once harbored killing intent towards Bai Cai and was unwilling to agree to Bai Cai's request, but A Lan promised Bai Cai that she would use all her strength to protect Wu Geng. Bai Cai remembered what Shi Xing had told her before he left. It turned out that in King's City, Shi Xing wanted to use the power within Bai Cai's body to break the seal.
Shi Xing said that Wu Geng needed revelation before using Divine Power, but Bai Cai could use ancient Divine Power, indicating that she inherently possessed Divine Power. Shi Xing advised Bai Cai not to use Divine Power anymore if she still wanted to be with Wu Geng. After three days of treatment with Bai Cai's ancient Divine Power, Wu Geng's poison was successfully removed.
Bai Cai believed that every day she spent with Wu Geng was very happy, and further believed that no matter how time flowed, Wu Geng would always be the person she loved the most. The Kong Que clan leader was puzzled why Bai Cai's Divine Power did not weaken after three days of consumption but instead became stronger. However, Bai Cai only explained that she was gifted.
Wu Geng successfully woke up after the poison was resolved, but his Divine Power suddenly disappeared. The Kong Que clan leader said that the Blood Lotus poison spread through the meridians, causing the suppression of Divine Power. Perhaps his Divine Power would recover after some time. For now, Wu Geng could only take it one step at a time.
Episode 31 Recap
The Kong Que clan leader told Bai Cai the method to enter the Shenyin Clan, hoping she would go to the Shenyin Clan in the future. Wu Geng was worried that if his anti-Immortal power couldn't recover, then the plan to fight the Immortal Clan would need to be re-strategized. Wu Geng sought out Zhazha, asking him to persuade Chen Jing to help fight the Immortal Clan.
Wu Geng told Zhou Qiao that he planned to take the old forces of the Xin Kingdom to a safe place to hide. Zhou Qiao guessed Wu Geng was going to the Beishan Mine.
Wu Geng originally wanted to persuade Zhou Qiao to leave Xian City, worried that the Immortal Clan would come to deal with Zhou Qiao, but Zhou Qiao said that Wu Geng wanted to fight the Immortal Clan, while he only wanted to be the King of the Human Realm, and did not care who won between Wu Geng and the Immortal Clan.
Wu Geng arranged for General An to continue training soldiers in the capital, and after Chen Jing agreed, he would take the army to the Beishan Mine. Bai Cai refused to go to the Beishan Mine with Wu Geng. She told Wu Geng she planned to stay and take care of the children, and also wanted to open a steamed bun shop in Xian Kingdom.
Wu Geng felt Bai Cai was hiding something from him and asked if Bai Cai had used the power of the crystal to detoxify him. Bai Cai did not deny this but also told Wu Geng not to worry about her, saying her power had instead become stronger. Bai Cai wanted to stay away from Wu Geng also to avoid the prophecy lest she harm Wu Geng. Before, when she was treating Wu Geng, she had fallen into a coma.
In the coma, a woman identical to her told her that the power of the crystal was transformed from her Divine Essence, and the more she used it, the sooner her Divine Consciousness would recover and awaken. Xin Yuekui sensed the aura of ancient Divine Essence in Xian City. She wanted to use Divine Power to investigate but was almost countered by spirit devouring. Everything Xin Yuekui did for the Immortal Clan was for the Immortal King.
She had loved the Immortal King since she was young and was willing to clear all obstacles for the Immortal Clan and the Immortal King. Xin Yuekui summoned Tai Ji and Liu Yue. Now Zhui Ri could not be found, and only Tai Ji and Liu Yue were left of the Immortal Realm's Six Departments.
Xin Yuekui asked Tai Ji and Liu Yue to descend to the lower realm to investigate the ancient Divine Essence on Bai Cai, but Tai Ji and Liu Yue believed that only the Sage Hall could suppress Wu Geng now, and the two were unwilling to follow Xin Yuekui's orders. Although Xin Yuekui was angry at the two for betraying her, she was currently heavily injured and temporarily powerless. Zhui Ri woke up in the Shenyin Clan.
Kong Que brought the pastries her younger brother used to love, but Zhui Ri said he had long stopped liking them. Zhui Ri was sad because his older sister betrayed the Immortal Clan and left, and also hoped that one day he could defeat the Shenyin Clan and bring his sister back, but only later did he realize he was wrong.
Kong Que told Zhui Ri that she never regretted becoming a rebel but regretted leaving Zhui Ri in the Immortal Realm. Zhui Ri said he would wander the four seas in the future. He was unwilling to return to the Immortal Realm and unwilling to stay in the Shenyin Clan. Ni Tianerxing had high expectations for Wu Geng and also hoped that his people would one day see the light again and live happily.
He regretted that he might not see that day. Afterwards, he discovered Sui Feng Qi Wu had also contracted Petrification Sickness. Sui Feng Qi Wu told Ni Tianerxing not to worry, saying contracting Petrification Sickness instead made her feel at ease. This way she no longer had to worry about Ni Tianerxing being alone. Ni Tianerxing was finally willing to face this relationship and wanted to fight alongside Sui Feng Qi Wu until the end.
Wu Geng returned to the Beishan Mine with A Lan, Shi Tou, and A De. Chen Jing was dissatisfied with Wu Geng because Wu Geng had misled his son Zhazha, but he was no match for A Lan. To prevent the Immortal Clan from knowing he was associated with Wu Geng, he could only loudly instruct his subordinates not to associate with Wu Geng, and also sealed off the Beishan Mine, waiting for Wu Geng to leave on his own.
Bai Cai was increasingly unable to control her consciousness. She learned from the children that someone in the city had died from Divine Power, and there was frost on the body. Thinking that she had been in a coma for a period during the day, Bai Cai worried that she had harmed the children. She instructed them to take care of themselves and then left, and also told the children to stay away from her if they noticed anything abnormal about her.
Episode 32 Recap
Zhazha secretly ran out to find Wu Geng, then took Wu Geng through a secret passage to see Chen Jing. Zhou Qiao witnessed someone killing people in the capital using Divine Power, and he sensed that this person's Divine Power was extremely similar to Bai Cai's. Bai Cai came to the capital and saw someone dressed as herself killing people.
She wanted to step forward to save the city's residents but was also worried that continued use of Divine Power would make it impossible for her and Wu Geng to be together. However, the kind Bai Cai finally decided to step forward and save the people. It turned out that this "Bai Cai" was an illusion created by Xin Yuekui. Xin Yuekui's spirit devouring had become uncontrollable after she was severely injured.
Because Bai Cai used Divine Power, her consciousness was completely controlled. Xin Yuekui watched as Bai Cai blackened and transformed into the higher being of the crystal mountain's core. The higher being stated that her mission was to maintain the Heavenly Dao. Xin Yuekui claimed that Wu Geng was attempting to attack the Immortal Domain, defying the laws of heaven and man, and was colluding with the Shenyin Clan, intending to overthrow the Heavenly Dao.
The higher being naturally knew these things. Seeing Zhou Qiao bringing people to chase her, Xin Yuekui hurriedly left. Zhou Qiao ordered his men to apprehend Bai Cai, but unexpectedly, Bai Cai's Divine Power was so strong that it was uncontrollable. Wu Geng learned from Zhazha that the lives of the slaves in the mine were much better than before.
He was very pleased by this and also hoped that one day he would defeat the Immortal Clan so that there would be no more slaves in the world. Wu Geng met with Chen Jing alone. Chen Jing held a grudge because Wu Geng had released three thousand slaves back then, and he punched Wu Geng as a way to settle it. But Chen Jing was still unwilling to agree to Wu Geng's cooperation.
He believed that staying alive was the most important thing. Wu Geng knew that Chen Jing did not want Zhazha to be involved in the war against the Immortal Clan, but he still promised that no matter what their relationship would be in the future, he would protect Zhazha with his life. Wu Geng was originally planning to leave the mine with A Lan.
Hearing Chen Jing and Zhazha deliberately discussing loudly whether someone might be hiding in the mine tunnel he had dug before, Wu Geng understood the hidden meaning in their words and learned that the mine tunnel was no longer under the jurisdiction of the mine. He asked A Lan to send a message butterfly to General An, instructing General An to bring troops to the Beishan Mine. Afterwards, he would lie low in the Beishan Mine as a slave.
General An instructed Zhang Sigong to lead troops to the Beishan Mine. Because he had received a letter from Bai Cai, he planned to first send the children to Shenyin Village for safety. Zhou Qiao ordered someone to come and inform Wu Geng that someone was using Bai Cai to sow discord among the Anti-Immortal Alliance. Wu Geng naturally trusted Bai Cai and decided to return to Xian City first to rendezvous with Bai Cai and Zhou Qiao.
Meanwhile, Xin Yuekui brought the higher being to Shenyin Village. Xin Yuekui wanted to destroy Shenyin Village in one go, but the higher being did not find any signs of defying the Heavenly Dao among these people. The higher being also saw that Xin Yuekui wanted Wu Geng to misunderstand her, but she also did not plan to help. Xin Yuekui injured Kong Que, Yun Zhongzi, Zi Dian, and others.
Wu Geng and A Lan rushed to the Shenyin Clan after hearing the news. Wu Geng asked Bai Cai in confusion why she had become like this. A Lan realized that the Bai Cai in front of them had become the spirit consciousness of the crystal mountain and wanted Wu Geng to leave quickly. Bai Cai, who had briefly regained consciousness, also told Wu Geng to leave quickly. She could no longer guarantee her actions.
Seeing that her Divine Power could not resist, A Lan took Wu Geng and left Shenyin Village, but unexpectedly the higher being directly blocked the two of them. Wu Geng was unwilling to leave. He wanted to awaken Bai Cai. Wu Geng stated that no matter what Bai Cai became, he would not abandon her. Bai Cai found it difficult to control her consciousness.
The higher being was enraged and attacked, killing Zi Dian who had come to help, and then struck A Lan off the cliff. Wu Geng was always unwilling to attack Bai Cai, willing to be struck off the cliff by her. Bai Cai's Divine consciousness detached. Seeing that she had killed Wu Geng, she used all her strength to control her body and jumped off the cliff to accompany Wu Geng.
Bei Er of the Sea Spirit Clan saw the severely injured Wu Geng on the beach. To save Wu Geng, she drew the cold poison from his body onto herself. After Wu Geng woke up, he was very grateful to Bei Er for saving him. Afterwards, Bei Er took Wu Geng to the Sea Spirit Clan's forbidden land, Feng Yuan. She told Wu Geng that she was the youngest daughter of the Sea Spirit King.
She also told Wu Geng that the Sea Spirit Clan, like the Human Clan, had suffered oppression from the Immortal Clan for a hundred thousand years, and was even forced by Hei Long to hand over the sea territory they had lived in for generations to serve as a barrier for the Immortal Clan. Although the Sea Spirit Clan had risen up in resistance back then, they suffered a bloody massacre by the Immortal Clan, and their ancestors were also beheaded.
Episode 33 Recap
Bei Er told Wu Geng that the Sea Spirit Clan had now also become slaves of the Immortal Clan, guarding the Lost Sea for generations. Anyone attempting to pass through the Lost Sea to the Immortal Domain would be killed by her father, the Sea Spirit King. The Sea Spirit Clan had taken it upon themselves to guard the ocean and help lost ships for generations, but her father's current choice was unacceptable to her.
Bei Er attempted to resist her father's choice and was eventually discovered and imprisoned in the Feng Yuan forbidden land. Because of this, Bei Er felt the spirit consciousness of her ancestors here, who told her that the human hero who would overthrow the Immortal Clan would eventually appear. With Xin Yuekui's assistance, the higher being returned to the Immortal Domain, and her crystal mountain's core power was becoming increasingly strong.
Bei Er took Wu Geng to pay respects to her ancestors, but Bei Er did not summon their spirit consciousness. Wu Geng was angered by the Immortal Clan's curse on the Sea Spirit Clan and voluntarily placed the head of the Sea Spirit Clan's ancestor back onto its body. Surprisingly, doing so actually made the Sea Spirit Clan's ancestor's spirit consciousness reappear.
The Sea Spirit Clan's ancestor was very pleased to see the human battle god who could overthrow the Immortal Clan's tyranny after a hundred thousand years, but he didn't expect Wu Geng to have no divine power or fighting spirit. Wu Geng believed that although the current situation was unfavorable to them, they had never given up and also believed that sooner or later they would be able to defeat the Immortal Clan.
Although the Sea Spirit Clan's ancestor was angered that Wu Geng was now like a cripple, he also helped Wu Geng break through the seal and regain his divine power. The Sea Spirit Clan's ancestor admired Wu Geng's willpower and bestowed the remaining divine power he had upon Wu Geng, hoping that he would one day defeat the Immortal Clan and lead his people to regain their freedom.
The Sea Spirit Clan's ancestor also bestowed the Water Control Token upon Bei Er. Possessing this token could command all Sea Spirits in the world. He hoped Bei Er could resolve the Sea Spirit Clan's crisis. Bei Er had previously been imprisoned for disobeying the Sea Spirit King and was already poisoned. Now she had drawn the cold poison from Wu Geng onto herself. The ancestor entrusted Wu Geng with finding a way to treat Bei Er.
The ancestor placed all hope on Wu Geng, and then, his wish fulfilled, he turned to dust and vanished. Xin Yuekui brought the higher being to the Immortal Clan's prison. This place held rebels who were impure to the Immortal King. The higher being also felt a strong sense of defiance against the Heavenly Dao here.
Xin Yuekui believed that whether it was the Immortal Clan, Human Clan, or Demon Clan, the inescapable despair that all life faced when confronting death would push their fear to its peak, and this power of fear was of great benefit to the crystal mountain's core.
The higher being indeed found that this method was very beneficial to the crystal mountain's core, while Xin Yuekui was thinking of making the crystal mountain's core power reach its strongest, at which point she could offer it to the Immortal King. Bei Er was severely injured. Wu Geng took her to Shenyin Village to seek treatment from the Kong Que Clan Leader. The Kong Que Clan Leader examined and treated Bei Er.
Learning that Bei Er had agreed to help them resist the Immortal Clan, everyone was very happy. Although everyone was happy that Wu Geng had returned alive, they were also sad to learn that A Lan and Zi Dian had been killed by Bai Cai. Having witnessed the power of the Immortal Clan, Wu Geng also understood the significant gap between them and their anti-Immortal army. He wanted to go to Fantasy Island to cultivate Qi.
He arranged for General An to return to the mine to select some physically strong human warriors who could cultivate Qi. After he arrived at Fantasy Island, he would implore the island master to agree to let the human warriors go to Fantasy Island to cultivate Qi. With Zi Yu's help, Wu Geng arrived at Fantasy Island.
Here he met Xiao Shang, and learned that after Xiao Shang escaped from the mine that year, he was saved by Venerable Bai Yue of Fantasy Island. Afterwards, he became Venerable Bai Yue's disciple and came here to cultivate Qi. Xiao Shang told Wu Geng that the master of Fantasy Island detested all wars and would not agree to Wu Geng's proposal to let human warriors come here to cultivate Qi.
The master of Fantasy Island loved every living being and never even considered killing the Immortal Clan. Xiao Shang believed that humans, on the contrary, abused the power of Fantasy Island. Wu Geng believed that it was the Immortal Clan who abused power. That year, his father, King Xin, also rose up to fight so that the Human Clan would not be oppressed. Xiao Shang hated King Xin because his mother died tragically during the war that year.
Learning that Wu Geng also wanted to walk the path of King Xin, he attacked Wu Geng in anger. The two were equally matched in strength. Zi Yu finally intervened to stop them. Zi Yu believed that building a new world was a beautiful wish, but if one day the three realms were all slaughtered, how could Fantasy Island remain unaffected?
Episode 34 Recap
Wu Geng persuaded Xiao Shang that he only wanted to borrow the place on Fantasy Island for the human warriors to cultivate Qi so that they could protect themselves when war came. Xiao Shang could not make the decision on this matter but promised to report it to Venerable Bai Yue. Wu Geng recalled the moments he spent with Bai Cai.
Although the darkened Bai Cai had killed A Lan, he should hate Bai Cai, but he couldn't bring himself to see Bai Cai as an enemy in his heart. Zi Yu told Wu Geng that King Xin once believed that destiny was held in one's own hands, and he and Xin Yuehu had always fought tirelessly for the fate of humanity. Now it was Wu Geng and Bai Cai's turn to fight.
Wu Geng asked Zi Yu how to recover if one's divine essence was invaded. Zi Yu only knew that the ancient great deities of the Demon Clan could probe hearts and perhaps had the answer to this matter. Xiao Shang told Wu Geng that Venerable Bai Yue had agreed to let the human warriors come here to cultivate Qi but also required them not to disturb the inhabitants of Fantasy Island. Zhā Zhā brought Chen Jing's letter.
In the letter, Chen Jing stated that although he could not go to the battlefield with Wu Geng, he was willing to lend the North Mountain Mine to Wu Geng to hide warships. He also entrusted the future of everyone at the North Mountain Mine to Wu Geng, hoping that he could defeat the Immortal Clan one day.
At the North Mountain Mine, Wu Geng saw the morning glories that Bai Cai had planted back then and thought of their experiences at the mine, feeling a longing for Bai Cai. General An selected a portion of warriors and planned to send them to Fantasy Island to cultivate Qi.
Wu Geng told them that although the strength of individual humans was weak, they were united and had the determination to not fear death, and one day they would make the Immortal Clan tremble because of the power of the Human Clan. Wu Geng, General An, and others arrived at Fantasy Island, and they all followed Zi Yu here to cultivate Qi.
A Lan was injured by the crystal mountain's core and was supposed to die, but she was saved by the Great Elder of the Divine Eye. The Divine Eye was entrusted by Fu Xi to save A Lan. Afterwards, the Divine Eye also brought A Lan to meet the imprisoned Fu Xi. A Lan was heartbroken that she was powerless to save Fu Xi.
Fu Xi's empty-consciousness divine power had been taken by Xin Yuekui, and he could not sense Wu Geng's presence. But he believed that Wu Geng would not die so easily. Fu Xi told A Lan to cooperate well with the Great Elder of the Divine Eye, because the Great Elder of the Divine Eye and their goals were the same. Wu Geng successfully combined Qi cultivation and divine power on Fantasy Island.
At the same time, Xin Yuekui also unexpectedly discovered the news that Wu Geng was not dead. Xiao Shang came to see Wu Geng and told him that Fantasy Island was leaving this place to completely conceal itself and not participate in the conflicts of the three realms. He would also leave with Fantasy Island. He hoped that one day Wu Geng could lead the Human Clan to end the conflicts of the three realms.
Xin Yuekui used her empty-consciousness divine power to discover that Wu Geng had gone to the Demon Realm. After learning this, the higher being rushed to the Demon Realm wanting to kill Wu Geng again. However, Wu Geng deliberately lured the higher being there, precisely because he wanted Bai Cai to find herself again. The higher being fell into the Demon Clan's formation of Yong Heng Zhi Ye.
Wu Geng entered the formation and burned his divine essence, successfully driving out the higher being's divine essence and allowing Bai Cai to regain her consciousness. Wu Geng told Ni Tianerxing that the bloodstone would be transported to the Immortal Domain in four months. He and Ni Tianerxing agreed to each lead their troops in preparation during this period and assemble at the mine when the time was right to set off.
Bai Cai felt guilty for injuring Wu Geng and killing A Lan and Zi Dian. She didn't know how to explain this to the Shenyin Clan. Wu Geng told Bai Cai to trust him and that he would face everything with her. Bai Cai returned to Shenyin Village, kneeling and begging for the villagers' forgiveness. Wu Geng also explained that Bai Cai had now regained consciousness.
Bai Cai knew that the villagers could not forgive her and was willing to die to atone, but she hoped the villagers could give her some time. She wanted to attack the Immortal Domain with everyone. If she could return alive, she was willing to be at their disposal. Wu Geng learned from Yong Heng Zhi Ye that Bai Cai was the key that Hei Long had been searching for for many years.
That year, Hei Long defeated the original leader of the Immortal Clan, Gen Gu. He dispersed the divine essences of Gen Gu and other ancient great deities. Gen Gu used his last divine power to seal their divine power in the crystal mountain and threw the crystal, which served as the key, down from the Immortal Domain. If this power were obtained by Hei Long, he would possess the power to destroy the heavens and earth.
Wu Geng confirmed that he had helped Bai Cai eliminate the dark divine essence, and she would not be controlled again in the future. At Wu Geng's persuasion, everyone decided to temporarily spare Bai Cai and make a decision after returning from the Immortal Domain. Wu Geng thanked the Kong Que Clan Leader for being willing to give Bai Cai a chance. The Kong Que Clan Leader reassured Wu Geng, saying that they had already lost A Lan and Zi Dian and were unwilling to lose any more comrades.
Episode 35 Recap
Bai Cai learned that Bei Er had saved Wu Geng and specifically came to express her gratitude. Bei Er and Bai Cai talked about what it feels like to like someone. Bei Er confessed that the person she seemed to like was Wu Geng. Bai Cai told Bei Er that liking someone indeed feels this way, but two people can only be together if their hearts are connected and they like each other mutually.
Bai Cai also specifically told Bei Er that if the other person already likes someone else, then the two of them cannot be together. General An told Wu Geng that the warships would be completely upgraded before dark. The upgraded warships looked the same as the freighters transporting the bloodstone, but the warships were sturdier and could accommodate more warriors.
Ni Tianerxing led the Demon Clan, and the Kong Que Clan Leader led the Shenyin Clan to rendezvous with Wu Geng. Everyone discussed the route to the Immortal Domain. Bei Er also decided to help everyone pass the Sea Spirit Clan's inspection in the Lost Hidden Sea. Ni Tianerxing entrusted Wu Geng to take good care of the Demon Clan in the future.
Although Xiong E has strong combat power and can be a good general, he cannot lead the Demon Clan. He also worried that Sui Feng Qi Wu would not be happy after his death. Wu Geng comforted Ni Tianerxing, saying perhaps they could find a way to treat Petrification Sickness when they reached the Immortal Domain. Ni Tianerxing did not believe in miracles but also comforted Wu Geng not to be sad about his departure.
He would live forever in everyone's hearts. Wu Geng set off for the Immortal Domain with the anti-Immortal Clan army. Their first stop was the Lost Hidden Sea. Wu Geng ordered everyone to hide within the warships. Afterwards, the Sea Spirit Clan boarded to inspect. Bei Er had placed Confusion Coral in the cabin beforehand, allowing everyone to avoid the Sea Spirit Clan's inspection. Unexpectedly, the Sea Spirit King suddenly appeared.
The Sea Spirit King exposed Bei Er's presence and sternly rebuked her for consorting with slaves. Wu Geng pointed out that the Sea Spirit Clan's stationing in the Lost Hidden Sea was not their original intention. If they wanted to reclaim their freedom, he hoped the Sea Spirit King would grant them passage.
Seeing the Sea Spirit King remain stubborn, Bei Er took out the Water Control Token and, in the name of her ancestors, commanded the Sea Spirit Clan to open the way for Wu Geng. Although Bei Er understood the Sea Spirit King's helplessness, she also stated that as long as she could remember, the Sea Spirit Clan had been oppressed by the Immortal Clan.
She wanted to regain freedom and tolerance and believed that Wu Geng and the others would bring hope back to the sea. The Sea Spirit Clan had not yet agreed to Bei Er's request when the Void appeared in the sea. The lingering resentment of the beings who died 100,000 years ago had transformed into the Void. Anyone invaded by the Void would lose their life or lose their soul and turn into a puppet.
Everyone worked together to resist the invasion of the Void. However, Zi Yu was accidentally invaded by the Void within his body. He could not control his consciousness and even wanted to attack his companions. Bei Er could not bear to see everyone destroyed by the Void. She used the Water Control Token as a boundary to repel the Void, then struggled to maintain her strength and summon back Zi Yu's consciousness.
Bei Er told Bai Cai that she truly liked Wu Geng, but she knew that Wu Geng only liked Bai Cai. Bei Er handed the Water Control Token to Wu Geng, regretting that she couldn't go with Wu Geng to see the dandelions and the underwater world. She could only accompany Wu Geng this far, and then Bei Er dissolved and disappeared before everyone's eyes.
The Sea Spirit King was heartbroken at the loss of his daughter and was overwhelmed with grief. Wu Geng gave the Water Control Token to the Sea Spirit King. He believed that Bei Er must have hoped that the Sea Spirit King would take over the Water Control Token and also take on the true responsibility of the Sea Spirit Clan. It was only after losing his daughter that the Sea Spirit King finally understood the freedom she desired. He personally cleared the way and granted passage for Wu Geng and the others and also looked forward to Wu Geng bringing the freedom that Bei Er wanted.
Episode 36 Recap
Sage Hall discovered the whereabouts of Wu Geng and others. Divine Eye decided to teach these slaves a lesson in the maritime ruins. He believed that to completely destroy the Anti-Immortal Clan Alliance, it was necessary not only to eliminate their lives but also to destroy their hope. Only in this way could the three realms be deterred and no longer harbor a shred of anti-Immortal Clan sentiment.
Wu Geng and the others finally arrived at the maritime ruins, where Profound Wind Sage King, White Lotus Sage King, and True Zen Sage King, leading the Hundred Immortals, were also waiting. Wu Geng and Ni Tianerxing successively set up formations to engage in battle. Wu Geng knew that the strength of the Hundred Immortals should not be underestimated.
He ordered everyone to first hold back the strong generals while concentrating forces to eliminate the weak generals, and finally surround and attack the strong generals, breaking them down layer by layer. Xin Yuekui learned that Wu Geng and the others were engaging in combat with the Sage Kings of Sage Hall in the maritime ruins.
She instructed Tai Ji and Liu Yue to go and investigate the situation and act privately to kill Wu Geng; she absolutely would not allow Wu Geng to attack and ascend to the Immortal Domain.
Xin Yuekui sought out Divine Eye, believing he harbored malicious intent, and that his not having the three great Sage Kings intercept Wu Geng in the Lost Hidden Sea was precisely to allow Wu Geng and the others to successfully attack and ascend to the Immortal Domain, attempting to shake the Immortal King's position. Divine Eye believed Xin Yuekui was slandering him and took action against her. Meanwhile, Tai Ji and Liu Yue also appeared in Sage Hall.
Xin Yuekui discovered that Tai Ji and Liu Yue had already betrayed her and, knowing she could no longer suppress Divine Eye, had no choice but to temporarily leave Sage Hall. Divine Eye instructed Tai Ji and Liu Yue to keep an eye on Xin Yuekui to prevent further trouble. True Zen Sage King's Immortality Realm Immortal Power blessing made the Hundred Immortals invulnerable.
Wu Geng decided to first find True Zen Sage King to sever the Immortal Clan's protection of the Hundred Immortals. Zi Yu told Wu Geng to go rescue Fu Xi first, while he would go search for True Zen Sage King. The Kong Que Clan Leader and Ni Tianerxing and others cooperated with each other, escorting Wu Geng and Zi Yu to first break into the Immortal Domain.
General An, in order to block the Hundred Immortals' pursuit, was ultimately unfortunately sacrificed. White Lotus Sage King discovered Wu Geng's whereabouts. He took action intending to kill Wu Geng. Bai Cai sensed Wu Geng was in danger and hurried to the Immortal Domain to help.
Wu Geng broke free from White Lotus's control and successfully injured White Lotus Sage King, but unexpectedly White Lotus Sage King used the captured Zha Zha to threaten Wu Geng and also used Zha Zha to make Chen Jing take action against Wu Geng. Chen Jing entrusted Zha Zha to Wu Geng; he took action to counterattack White Lotus Sage King.
Bai Cai took action to save Zha Zha, while Wu Geng and Chen Jing joined forces to fight against White Lotus Sage King. Chen Jing was ultimately severely injured and on his deathbed instructed Zha Zha to be an upright person in the future, to fight like Wu Geng. Wu Geng told Bai Cai to take Chen Jing and Zha Zha away from here first, and the enraged him stayed behind alone to fight against White Lotus Sage King.
Zi Yu found the figure of True Zen Sage King. Zhen Chan didn't understand why Zi Yu, being human, came to offend. Zi Yu explained they were fighting for freedom. Zi Yu admitted that the Immortal Clan gave the Human Race many things, but only lacked dignity. In the Immortal Clan's eyes, the Human Race were merely slaves, only knew how to exploit the Human Race.
True Zen Sage King stated that the Human Race he saw was filled with greed, plunder, and war, and the situation of mutual exploitation and slaughter among the Human Race was escalating. The Human Race must be governed. Zi Yu did not believe human nature was inherently evil and questioned who could determine that Immortal nature was inherently good.
Episode 37 Recap
White Lotus Sage King wanted to trap Wu Geng in the Nine-Empty Blood Lotus Pool to kill him. He thought Wu Geng was certain to die, but unexpectedly, Wu Geng directly found White Lotus Sage King's life vein within the Blood Lotus Pool. Wu Geng severed White Lotus Sage King's life vein, which greatly astonished White Lotus Sage King. He couldn't believe that the Human Race could possess such wisdom.
Wu Geng used his full power to strike White Lotus Sage King, successfully breaking through his Nine-Empty Blood Lotus Pool. On the other side, Zi Yu unleashed his Qi Sword. His sword was used only to kill Immortals and was only effective against Immortals. After the battle of Xin City that year, he was trapped in King's City. He painstakingly pondered how to create a sword capable of overcoming Immortal power and condensed his Qi Sword into form.
Zi Yu used this sword to kill True Zen Sage King. True Zen Sage King was enraged and showed no fear of Zi Yu's Immortal Slaying Sword. Zi Yu discovered that the person before him was not True Zen, but Evil Zen. Evil Zen wanted to kill everyone who did not listen to his Great Dao; he wanted to kill them all. Zi Yu found that Evil Zen's strength was greater.
If he couldn't finish the battle quickly, the Hundred Immortals' blessing could not be broken, and the allied army's casualties would be even heavier. Zi Yu broke through Evil Zen's illusion with his willpower and completely slew Evil Zen with the Immortal Slaying Sword. Wu Geng took Bai Cai to rescue his maternal grandfather, Fu Xi. He found Fu Xi in the place where rebellious Immortals were imprisoned. Seeing his grandfather suffering such torment, Wu Geng was extremely heartbroken.
Fu Xi was finally relieved that Wu Geng and others had arrived in the Immortal Domain and was comforted that the Anti-Immortal Army had finally attacked the Immortal Domain. Wu Geng originally wanted to break the stone to rescue his grandfather, but Fu Xi said that his body had long merged with the stone, and even if Hei Long came, he couldn't reverse it.
Fu Xi had endured such torment for so long just to wait for Wu Geng to come and see him. Now that he saw Wu Geng had become stronger, he could leave assured. Wu Geng was reluctant for his grandfather to leave, but Fu Xi said that Wu Geng still had family, friends, and a loved one by his side, and he was just moving to another place to continue watching over Wu Geng.
Fu Xi entrusted Bai Cai to love and accompany Wu Geng for a lifetime. Fu Xi encouraged Wu Geng to continue fighting bravely towards his ideal. He was his proudest maternal grandson and would also become the pride of the entire Three Realms. Although Fu Xi felt he could leave without regret to see Xin Yuehu, he was still worried about Xin Yuekui.
He never thought Xin Yuekui was useless; it was he, as a father, who didn't make Xin Yuekui feel the same love, causing this daughter to drift further away. Fu Xi pleaded with Wu Geng to save Xin Yuekui if possible and pull her back to the righteous path. After finishing his instructions to Wu Geng, Fu Xi finally dissipated in front of him.
Xin Yuekui, hiding in the dark, saw her father pass away, and a trace of sadness flashed in her heart. The Kong Que Clan Leader decided to first take the injured back to Shenyin Village with Yuan Yi for treatment and have Yun Zhongzi meet up with Wu Geng and the others. Xin Yuekui appeared before Wu Geng. She frankly admitted that she didn't care about Fu Xi's departure; she only cared about the eternal security of Immortal authority.
She wanted to clear all obstacles for the Immortal King. Xin Yuekui used an ancient forbidden spell to trap Wu Geng and Bai Cai. Wu Geng and Bai Cai broke through the forbidden spell with united efforts, but unexpectedly, Profound Wind Sage King suddenly appeared. Wu Geng pushed Bai Cai away and blocked Profound Wind Sage King's divine skill. Wu Geng nearly suffocated to death, but at the critical moment, Shi Xing rushed to help.
Shi Xing told Wu Geng and Bai Cai to go to Crystal Mountain, while he stayed behind to deal with Profound Wind Sage King and Xin Yuekui. Before leaving, Wu Geng decided to teach Xin Yuekui a lesson. He deeply hated Xin Yuekui for killing his mother and grandfather. Xin Yuekui absorbed the divine power of the God Eater to enhance her own strength. Afterwards, Xin Yuekui controlled demonic energy to surround and kill Wu Geng and Bai Cai.
Xin Yuekui firmly believed that the Immortal Clan was invincible, and she would clear all obstacles for the Immortal Clan. A Lan, entrusted by Fu Xi, came to the Tomb of Heaven. With Divine Eye's help, she successfully broke through the interception and entered the Tomb of Heaven. Profound Wind Sage King was not afraid of the Phoenix's enhancement on Shi Xing; he was confident he could defeat Shi Xing.
Episode 38 Recap
After Zi Yu killed Evil Zen, True Zen Sage King reappeared. True Zen Sage King believed that only those with extremely firm hearts could walk out of the Great Thousand World. Zi Yu not only defeated himself but also resolved the Evil Zen personality that had plagued him for hundreds of years, dissolving the darkest part of his heart. True Zen Sage King did not obstruct Zi Yu's path and was willing to let him pass.
As True Zen Sage King's divine power blessing disappeared, the Anti-Immortal Army's obstacles lessened, and everyone redoubled their efforts to advance into the Immortal Domain. Xin Yuekui was also surprised by the disappearance of True Zen Sage King's Super Longevity Realm divine power. Wu Geng was greatly encouraged after learning of Zi Yu's victory. He used his divine power to break through the demonic energy.
Seeing Xin Yuekui's stubborn adherence to her path, Wu Geng originally wanted to kill her in one strike, but remembering his maternal grandfather's dying instructions, he ultimately spared Xin Yuekui's life. The Anti-Immortal Alliance defeated the Hundred Immortals. Ni Tianerxing allowed everyone to rest briefly, and then they continued to attack the Immortal Domain. Qiong Xiong Ji E decided to go ahead first to scout the path for Ni Tianerxing.
Shi Xing burned his divine power to fight against Profound Wind Sage King. Both were mutually destructive and died together. Shi Xing hoped there would be a chance for Profound Wind Sage King to go with him to see the mortal realm; he believed Profound Wind Sage King would like the mortal realm. A Lan discovered that the bloodstones mined by humans were all placed in the Tomb of Heaven.
She originally intended to attack and kill the sleeping Hei Long but unexpectedly woke Bai Long. Bai Long detected through her divine power that A Lan's original purpose in coming to the Tomb of Heaven was to assassinate Hei Long. A Lan confessed that she had no intention of harming her, but it was too late. The rocks in the Tomb of Heaven collapsed.
Bai Long sensed Hei Long awakening and urged A Lan to leave quickly, otherwise, if Hei Long discovered her, he would immediately kill A Lan. Hei Long was very happy to see his beloved Bai Long awaken in the Tomb of Heaven. He personally treated Bai Long's stab wound inflicted by A Lan.
A Lan originally intended to seize the opportunity to kill Hei Long, but Hei Long's strength was formidable; he directly blasted A Lan out of the Tomb of Heaven with one move. Wu Geng and Bai Cai unexpectedly found the severely injured A Lan. Wu Geng realized that A Lan's divine essence was disintegrating in her body, and neither he nor Bai Cai could save A Lan. A Lan knew that no one could save her.
A Lan had always felt guilty towards Bai Cai. Her initial dislike for Bai Cai was also out of fear that Bai Cai might harm Wu Geng. Later, she discovered Bai Cai was a good girl but didn't know how to get along with her. A Lan's lifelong wish was for Wu Geng to be safe and sound, but Wu Geng's opponent was the powerful Hei Long, and she didn't want anything to happen to Wu Geng.
Wu Geng promised that he would definitely defeat Hei Long and fulfill A Lan's and Fu Xi's wishes. A Lan confessed that she liked Wu Geng. Because she wanted to avenge her family, she chose to hide this feeling. Before she died, A Lan instructed Wu Geng to take good care of himself and to definitely return alive. Wu Geng watched A Lan's divine essence dissipate before his eyes, transforming his grief into strength, determined to fight against Hei Long.
Xin Yuekui sensed the abnormality in the Tomb of Heaven and went to check on Hei Long's condition, but unexpectedly found her beloved Hei Long embracing his lover. Bai Long looked back on the Three Realms over 100,000 years and discovered that Hei Long had spent 100,000 years digging up all the world's bloodstones to revive her.
Bai Long was grateful for Hei Long's efforts but also felt guilty that Hei Long had caused countless tragedies in the Three Realms for the sake of the bloodstones. Hei Long believed that the beings in the Three Realms were insignificant and did not think he was wrong.
Xin Yuekui learned that Hei Long had dug up all the world's bloodstones to revive Bai Long, that he had stayed in the Tomb of Heaven for 100,000 years to accompany Bai Long, and that he had created these New Immortals for Bai Long. Only then did she realize that in Hei Long's eyes, all beings were the same except for Bai Long.
Xin Yuekui was unwilling to accept everything she had sacrificed for the Immortal Clan, only to discover that sacrificing her father and killing her sister were all due to her own self-righteousness. In the end, the Immortal Clan was no different from mortals in Hei Long's eyes. Filled with resentment, Xin Yuekui wanted to kill Bai Long but was struck dead by Hei Long with a single palm strike.
On her deathbed, Xin Yuekui felt guilty for letting down her father and sister. If she could do it over, she would never have walked this path. Qiong Xiong Ji E came to the Tomb of Heaven to fight Hei Long. Although he knew the disparity in strength was huge, Qiong Xiong Ji E fought against Hei Long with all his life for his daughter and clansmen, ultimately dying tragically.
Before he died, he entrusted Wu Geng, who had arrived at the Tomb of Heaven, with the hope that if he had the chance, he would take his daughter, Xiao Qing Ting, to see the sun in the human realm. Wu Geng declared war on Hei Long on behalf of all beings in the Three Realms.
Wu Geng articulated the dissatisfaction of the Three Realms with Hei Long, believing that only after Hei Long disappeared could a new world have hope. Hei Long thought of King Xin, who had challenged him back then and whose kingdom was destroyed. Although he was surprised by Wu Geng's ability, he was not afraid of Wu Geng. Wu Geng was injured by Hei Long.
Bai Cai intervened to help, which caused Hei Long to discover the Radiance of Crystal within Bai Cai's body. At the same time, Ni Tianerxing also rushed to assist Wu Geng.
Episode 39 Recap
Yong Heng Zhi Ye gifted Ni Tianerxing the sword of his soul. Ni Tianerxing took this sword and challenged Hei Long on behalf of the Demon Clan. Wu Geng and Ni Tianerxing coordinated with each other. Hei Long believed that a slight exertion of his power had already reached the limit of their combined strength. Ni Tianerxing endured his pain and continued fighting with Wu Geng.
Ni Tianerxing, pushing his full power, suffered increasingly severe Petrification Sickness, but also successfully wounded Hei Long. Hei Long, angered, increased his power to fight the two. Seeing Wu Geng and Ni Tianerxing were no match, Zi Yu also rushed to assist them at a critical moment. Hei Long recognized Zi Yu as the Human Race's great swordsman. Zi Yu, Wu Geng, and Ni Tianerxing fought together. Ni Tianerxing and Zi Yu were soon injured.
Zi Yu was severely wounded and fainted, and Wu Geng fought alone. He was also quickly severely wounded by Hei Long and collapsed. Ni Tianerxing was not afraid of failure; he believed his clansmen would continue fighting. Enduring his petrifying body, he walked step by step towards Hei Long, fighting until the last moment.
He felt he had lived up to his brother and the Demon Clan, but the only one he felt he had let down was Sui Feng Qi Wu. In this life, he could only complete his revenge. He wished that in another life, he could be Ni Tianerxing solely for Sui Feng Qi Wu. Ni Tianerxing's body eventually fully petrified.
Sui Feng Qi Wu and others who arrived at the Tomb of Heaven, along with Wu Geng, watched as Hei Long completely shattered Ni Tianerxing's body. Everyone was heartbroken by the loss of Ni Tianerxing. Wu Geng wanted to fulfill everyone's wish to kill Hei Long. Bai Long rushed to stop him. She believed that the Demon Clan, the Immortal Clan, and the Human Race had hated each other for too many years and that this war should stop.
Bai Long promised to let the Demon Clan return to inhabit the great land. However, Wu Geng stated that what they wanted was not just a new life; he believed the Immortal Clan should pay for their actions. But Wu Geng and the Demon Clan, among others, all believed that the sacrificed races should not have died in vain, and they wanted to avenge their clansmen.
Hei Long had fought for survival for 100,000 years and killed for 100,000 years to save Bai Long. Bai Long persuaded Hei Long that many things cannot be changed and it is better to let nature take its course. She believed that the Human Race, the Demon Clan, and all living beings in the world have the right to love.
She hoped Hei Long would stop his senseless killing and just let Wu Geng and the others retreat when they faced difficulty. Wu Geng fought against Hei Long alone and also successfully wounded Hei Long. Hei Long used the Ancient Black Spear to deal with Wu Geng. Although Wu Geng had Bai Cai's assistance, he was ultimately pierced by the Ancient Black Spear and collapsed. Bai Cai was heartbroken to see Wu Geng faint before her eyes.
Shen Yan had a hidden agenda against Hei Long. He brought Tai Ji and Liu Yue into the Tomb of Heaven. He used Tai Ji and Liu Yue's Immortal Clan essence blood to activate the Sealing Immortal Array in Crystal Mountain. At the same time, Bai Long also sensed that someone had activated the seal in Crystal Mountain.
The seal had been opened, the Ancient Forbidden Curse was activated, and the Radiance of Crystal within Bai Cai's body was also activated. Yun Zhongzi woke up the unconscious Zi Yu. He knew that the Radiance of Crystal was the key to opening the seal in Crystal Mountain. As the seal opened, Gen Gu and Shen Yan also appeared in the Tomb of Heaven.
Shen Yan used the ancient divine power sealed in Crystal Mountain to cast the unsolvable curse - the Sealing Immortal Array. He wanted to use this array to weaken Hei Long's divine power, while Gen Gu also wanted to reclaim his position as the Lord of the众䰠族. Hei Long did not expect Shen Yan to betray him. At this moment, Bai Long's divine body also reached its limit. Bai Long hoped that Hei Long would set everyone free.
She bid farewell to Hei Long and dissipated before him. Hei Long, having lost his beloved again, was enraged and wanted to kill Gen Gu to accompany Bai Long in death. Hei Long used Formless Realm Divine Power to condense a divine form to fight against Gen Gu. Bai Cai wanted to end the war and heal Wu Geng. She asked Zi Yu to destroy the Radiance of Crystal in front of her.
Zi Yu used the Immortal Slaying Sword to destroy the Radiance of Crystal, causing Gen Gu to dissipate before their eyes. Shen Yan also could not believe that his plan had been ruined by humans. Bai Cai wanted to take Wu Geng home. Hei Long was severely wounded by Gen Gu. Thinking that Bai Long was gone and could never be revived, the Hei Long wanted to completely destroy the Three Realms. The Human Race, the Demon Clan, and the Immortal Clan suffered immensely, and countless lives were lost.
Episode 40 (Ending) Recap
Now that Hei Long wanted to destroy the Three Realms, Bai Cai called for Wu Geng to wake up. Before his physical body vanished, Ni Tianerxing used a secret Demon Clan technique to condense his Divine Essence. Having exhausted his demonic power, he saw Wu Geng one last time. He transferred all of his Soul Power into the Yong Heng Zhi Ye sword, hoping Wu Geng could fulfill their shared wish to defeat Hei Long.
Thanks to Ni Tianerxing's demonic power, Wu Geng's injuries gradually healed. After Wu Geng woke up, he used the Soul Power transferred to him by Ni Tianerxing to fight against Hei Long, and everyone also gathered their power to assist Wu Geng. Wu Geng absorbed the Demon Clan's Soul Power, fusing all of it with his Qi Refining technique. The Phoenix Soul Power on Shi Xing also sensed Wu Geng's unyielding will; he merged with Wu Geng.
Wu Geng was willing to represent the living beings of the world and demand freedom from Hei Long. He fought alongside the Phoenix against Hei Long. Wu Geng believed Hei Long had no right to destroy the Three Realms, and that everyone's life should be decided by themselves. He struck Hei Long with all his might and ultimately succeeded in killing Hei Long. Wu Geng ultimately won.
He returned the sword belonging to Ni Tianerxing to Sui Feng Qi Wu, as a memento for the Demon Clan. Wu Geng led everyone home. Zhou Qiao didn't expect Wu Geng to truly defeat an Immortal with his fragile mortal body. Wu Geng told the people that in the future, the Immortal Realm would be governed by the Holy Kings.
He had reached an agreement with the Holy Kings that the Three Realms would be self-governing from now on, and there would never be conflict again. Wu Geng returned to the Royal Palace. Now that Hei Long was dead, the Three Realms were in ruins awaiting reconstruction. He proposed that the customs, traditions, and lifestyles of the Human Race, Immortal Clan, Demon Clan, and Shenyin Clan people were all different.
He hoped Zhou Qiao would continue to serve as the King of the Xu Kingdom, allowing all Human Race people to live in peace and happiness. Wu Geng had never doubted that Zhou Qiao could be a qualified king. Wu Geng believed that King's City was suitable for the Demon Clan to live in. He hoped Sui Feng Qi Wu would carry on Ni Tianerxing's belief and manage the Demon Clan well.
In the future, the Shenyin Clan would rely on Kong Que, the clan leader, and Yun Zhongzi. As for the Immortal Realm, it needed Shi Xing and the Mysterious Wind Holy King to put more effort into it. Wu Geng hoped that all races would live in harmony, so there would be no more oppression and slavery in the world. Wu Geng personally pinned the pearl hairpin left by his mother onto Bai Cai's hair.
The two wore grand wedding attire and held their wedding ceremony in the Royal Palace. Witnessed by all their friends, Bai Cai stumbled and fell during the wedding ceremony. Kong Que, the clan leader, knew that Bai Cai had already reached the end of her life force when she was in the Immortal Realm, but she had been hiding it from Wu Geng because she didn't want him to be distracted. Bai Cai thanked Wu Geng for his companionship.
Wu Geng said that the wedding was complete, and Bai Cai was already his wife; he would only have Bai Cai as his wife in this life. Wu Geng knew that the rest of his life would be long, and he would wait until the day they reunited. Bai Cai was very content to have this moment with Wu Geng. She dissipated in front of Wu Geng. Wu Geng, having lost Bai Cai, cried in grief.
Wu Geng brought Xiao Qingting to the Human Race lands and also saw the sun, which he had never seen before. Xiao Qingting knew that her father, Qiong Xiong Ji E, had passed away. Wu Geng told Xiao Qingting that Qiong Xiong Ji E and their other friends had gone to another world, where there would also be the bright sun of the Human Race.
After Zhou Qiao learned that Wu Geng had defeated the Immortal Clan, he prepared to abdicate and yield his position. However, Wu Geng stated that becoming king was not his obsession; he only wished to see peace throughout the world. Zhou Qiao admired Wu Geng's magnanimity and promised to be a good monarch. Wu Geng believed that Bai Cai's Divine Essence had not disappeared, and perhaps she was waiting for him somewhere.
Wu Geng returned to the Shenyin Clan to gather with everyone. He was preparing to leave Shenyin Village after this to search for Bai Cai. Before parting, Shi Xing specifically came to thank Wu Geng and Bai Cai. It was the two of them who taught him how to bravely face the days when his beloved was present and when she was not.
He was even more grateful to Wu Geng for defeating Hei Long, ensuring that everyone in the future would no longer suffer the pain they had once endured. Shi Xing prepared to travel to every corner of the world, taking Ming Yue to see all the beautiful scenery. Zi Yu supported any of Wu Geng's choices. Like Wu Geng's parents, he hoped Wu Geng would live a happy life.
Afterwards, Wu Geng came to King's City and saw the Demon Clan's newly built homeland. Sui Feng Qi Wu knew that Wu Geng was a person with great love in his heart, the only one in the Three Realms suitable to be the Lord of the Three Realms. Wu Geng said that now that the Three Realms were peaceful, he believed that everyone would find someone more suitable than himself to lead the Three Realms.
After leaving King's City, Wu Geng traveled to every corner of the world. He always believed that Bai Cai was still alive in the world. Spring, summer, autumn, and winter alternated. After repeated disappointments, Wu Geng finally waited for his reunion with Bai Cai.
