Huang Tuo and Yue Shen were training to develop new techniques to protect the City of Bladed Snow. Huang Tuo was impressed by Yue Shen's prowess, noting she could even match gods and would be invaluable in defending their home. He suggested a new spell, the Exchange of Injuries Spell, but Yue Shen immediately rejected it. Huang Tuo, a healer by nature, explained that he could only save people, not kill.

Yue Shen, however, insisted he think of a way to kill, threatening not to speak to him if he failed. Later, Huang Tuo realized Yue Shen's anger stemmed from her concern for his well-being, as she didn't want him to be injured by his own spell. He then vowed to devise an impressive new technique to avoid disappointing her. Meanwhile, Yan Da secretly observed Fire King, determined to uncover his plans.

Despite repeatedly calling for him without a response, she entered his forbidden chambers, ignoring his explicit command that no one was to enter without his permission. Inside, she discovered a horrifying scene: numerous corpses whose vital energies had been drained. She realized with dread that her father had been rapidly recovering his strength by killing gods and absorbing their vital energies. Fire King then appeared, angered by her disobedience, and punished her for breaking his rule, effectively imprisoning her.

Concurrently, Li Tianjin arrived to tend to Lan Shang, who was suffering from another episode of her illness. Lan Shang confronted him, accusing him of betraying his brother and tribe by working for the Fire Tribe. Li Tianjin coldly warned her not to call him Ying Kong Shi again, threatening to silence her. Li Luo, observing Lan Shang's distress, pleaded with Li Tianjin to save the Mermaid Princess, reminding him that her death would not benefit his plans.

He then proceeded to heal Lan Shang. Soon after, Fire King's guards arrived to take Li Luo and Lan Shang to the Endless Sea, instructing Li Tianjin to meet Fire King, who would personally explain his actions. Fire King told Li Tianjin that Ka Suo's absence from the City of Bladed Snow presented a prime opportunity to attack, and that Li Luo and Lan Shang were his crucial bargaining chips.

He tried to manipulate Li Tianjin, emphasizing their shared goal of destroying the Ice Tribe and ensuring Ka Suo's suffering. Li Tianjin, however, stated he cared little for Fire King's methods as long as they didn't impede his own plans for revenge. Fire King's forces, accompanied by war drums, arrived at the Endless Sea. He threatened Mermaid Saint, demanding she fill the Endless Sea immediately or he would burn Lan Shang and Li Luo to death.

Despite a subordinate's concern over the abrupt and broken promise, Mermaid Saint reluctantly complied to save Lan Shang's life. As the Endless Sea was filled, some Ice Tribe members expressed sympathy for Mermaid Saint, understanding she had been forced into her decision. Fire King confidently ordered his forces to attack, believing the Ice Tribe could only defend. However, Old Ice King had anticipated this, stating that being surrounded was part of his strategy.

Despite sustaining an injury to his hand during the initial assault, Old Ice King refused to retreat, ordering everyone to hold their ground. Die Che then appeared, surprising Phoenix, who questioned her presence. Yue Shen, with her usual cold gaze, bravely fought, slaying enemies. Following Die Che's unexpected arrival, Mermaid Saint and her soldiers descended from the sky, declaring that while she had agreed to fill the Endless Sea, she had never promised not to fight Fire King.

She bravely challenged Fire King to surrender to Ka Suo. Xing Jiu confirmed that he and the others were unharmed and that Mermaid Saint's arrival was perfectly timed. Die Che, having relinquished her queen title to Chao Ya, stood with her, and Chao Ya acknowledged that her magic had grown stronger thanks to Die Che. Chao Ya then rallied everyone to unite and repel the invaders.

Mermaid Saint declared the Mermaid Tribe's allegiance to the Three Realms Alliance, vowing to fight for righteousness, while the assembled forces chanted their resolve to defeat the Fire Tribe. Enraged by this unexpected unity, Fire King declared Li Luo and Lan Shang useless and attempted to kill them by magically strangling them. Just then, Li Tianjin intervened, stopping Fire King. He proclaimed that the two women were his "lure for Ka Suo" and forbade their killing.

Mermaid Saint wondered if Ying Kong Shi had regained his memories, but another observer suggested he was simply waiting for Ka Suo's return. Given the day's events, Mermaid Saint proposed they return to the Ice Tribe to strategize for the next day's battle. Away from the battlefield, Ka Suo arrived alone at Divine Snow Mountain, desperately calling upon the Hidden Lotus to appear before it withered.

The Hidden Lotus manifested, acknowledging that Ka Suo's wish for the revival of Ying Kong Shi, Li Luo, and Lan Shang had been granted. Ka Suo expressed his gratitude but pleaded for an additional wish: that they be restored to their original selves. The Hidden Lotus initially refused, explaining its core principle: "If there are gains, there'll surely be losses."

It demanded a fair exchange, instructing Ka Suo to choose three lives from Chao Ya, Die Che, Huang Tuo, Yue Shen, Xing Jiu, and the former Ice King to sacrifice in return for Li Luo, Lan Shang, and Ying Kong Shi regaining their true identities. The Hidden Lotus reiterated that gaining something always necessitated losing something, leaving the difficult decision to Ka Suo. Back with the Fire Tribe, Fire King confronted Yan Da, asking if she understood her mistakes.

When she affirmed, he sternly reminded her that in the Fire Tribe, only the victor is king, and warned her against defying him unless she could defeat him. He then ordered her to prepare for the Holy Fire Banquet. Meanwhile, at the Ice Tribe, Old Ice King and the others discussed Fire King's unexpected retreat, suspecting it was a tactic to conserve energy for a larger plan.

Old Ice King instructed Xing Jiu to gather the realm guardians and Shang Lie, predicting that the next day would bring "a battle of unprecedented loss." Fire King then rallied his Fire Princes and soldiers, falsely claiming that all of Ice Prince Ka Suo's allies had been defeated at the Endless Sea. He declared the upcoming conflict a decisive battle for the Fire Tribe's existence, as his soldiers chanted "Kill Ka Suo! End the Ice Tribe!"

He then asked Phoenix if his magic was sufficient to defeat Ka Suo, to which Phoenix pledged his unwavering loyalty to the Fire Tribe. Fire King announced that Phoenix had "offered his vital energy" for the ultimate victory and commanded his Fire Princes to do the same. Yan Da, witnessing this horrifying act, cried out in anguish, begging her father to stop, reminding him that they were his own sons and her brothers.

Fire King, increasingly powerful and deranged, asked if she feared him now and if he was strong enough to defeat Ka Suo. Yan Da tearfully questioned his monstrous cruelty, demanding to know how he could sacrifice his own children merely to defeat Ka Suo. Fire King threatened her with the same fate if she remained unsatisfied. Overwhelmed by despair, Yan Da wished to die with her brothers.

However, Fire King spared her, declaring her his only princess and dearest daughter, whom he intended to keep alive to witness his glory after he united the Three Realms. As Fire King departed, Yan Da mourned her brothers, questioning the purpose of unifying the Three Realms if it meant losing all her family. In her grief, she remembered Ying Kong Shi and resolved to save him before her own demise.

As the Ice Tribe evacuated its citizens to the Mortal Realm under Old Ice King's orders, questions arose about a new strategy. Mermaid Saint, unaware of Fire King's enhanced power, discussed plans with her remaining forces to defend the Endless Sea and prevent Fire King's entry, confident in their ability to win unless he found an unforeseen path to the Ice Tribe. However, Fire King, his power vastly amplified by the absorbed vital energies, suddenly appeared.

He reveled in his newfound strength, mocking the ancient Ice-Flame ancestors' rule against stealing vital energies as "stupid." He proceeded to absorb the vital energies of Mermaid Saint and her soldiers, chillingly offering her a "taste" of her tribe's delicious essence. Mermaid Saint, horrified, condemned him as possessed and unworthy of being a god. Fire King simply retorted that being a demon was far more enjoyable.

Accusing her of betrayal, he declared his intent to imprison her vital energy for over 10,000 years, making her the first in his collection. Mermaid Saint defiantly vowed that Ka Suo, King of the Three Realms, would avenge her, to which Fire King mockingly promised that Ka Suo would soon join her.
