Li Luo, feeling a pang of jealousy that Ka Suo was prepared to fight for Lan Shang, confronted him. She pressed him, asking if he had ever considered marrying Lan Shang, especially since Lan Shang clearly harbored feelings for him. Ka Suo reassured her that he would never marry Princess Lan Shang, declaring his lifelong devotion to her alone. Li Luo then challenged him further, asking if he would be willing to withdraw from the competition for her sake.

Ka Suo hesitated, and Li Luo, discerning his reluctance, asserted, "In order for us to win, in order for us to hold you back from the competition, I won't just sit around." Yan Da found Li Tianjin and inquired about his next move, understanding that Fire King's ultimate goal was for Li Tianjin to eliminate Ka Suo. Li Tianjin promised he would not disappoint his father.

Noticing Yan Da's unhappiness, Li Tianjin asked what was wrong, but she vaguely dismissed it as "nothing." He playfully teased her, suggesting she was now adept at lying, like the Lie Tribe. Yan Da challenged him to guess the reason for her distress, but Li Tianjin showed indifference, stating it was her choice to speak or not. He then inquired about the poison in her body, asking if it had been cured. Yan Da replied vaguely, "I guess."

When he pressed for the poisoner's identity, Yan Da countered, "Didn't Phoenix tell you? It was the Ice Tribe." Li Tianjin immediately stated he never trusted Phoenix's words. Yan Da then asked if he trusted her, to which Li Tianjin replied dismissively, "Does it make a difference whether or not I trust you?" This response disheartened Yan Da, who, unable to reveal the truth, conceded, "You're right, I can't help you. You only need to trust yourself."

However, she added a profound warning: "No matter when, even if you're hesitating a tiny bit, don't do anything that you'd regret." Yan Da then departed, leaving Li Tianjin to ponder her words. Li Luo sought out the Mermaid Saint, requesting that a siren be permitted to compete, hoping to prevent Ka Suo from having to enter the contest himself.

The Mermaid Saint was astonished, as the existence of sirens, the Mermaid Tribe's mysterious assassins, was a secret known only to herself, Lan Shang, and the elders. She questioned how Li Luo came to know of them, especially since they had never been summoned, even during the War of Ice and Fire. Li Luo herself was unsure, vaguely recalling she might have been told by the Mermaid Saint.

Despite the mystery, Li Luo passionately pleaded for the siren's participation, emphasizing that it would ultimately benefit Princess Lan Shang and spare her from an undesirable marriage to the Fire Tribe. Prioritizing Lan Shang's well-being, the Mermaid Saint agreed to send a siren to compete. Fearing Fire King's potential hidden schemes, Ka Suo opted not to attend the competition venue immediately. He instructed his companions to proceed ahead while he took the time to survey the surroundings.

At the competition, Phoenix, representing the Fire Tribe, declared his intent to claim the Endless Sea for himself if he won. Fire King, however, had not planned to send his own children into the arena. Yan Da, still resentful that her father allowed Phoenix to threaten her life, confronted him. She cautioned that if Li Tianjin (Ying Kong Shi) were to regain his memories and ally with Ka Suo against the Fire Tribe, their forces would be no match.

Fire King asserted that this was precisely why he had to eliminate Ka Suo swiftly, before Li Tianjin's memories fully returned, to consolidate his rule over the Three Realms. He considered the inherent risks worthwhile and explained his decision to prevent his children from participating. The magic competition to determine Princess Lan Shang's husband began with the first round: drawing lots.

The Mermaid Saint scattered the lots into the sky, and only those who successfully seized one would qualify for the subsequent rounds. Xing Jiu skillfully secured a lot. Phoenix, however, greedily collected a large number of the remaining lots, provoking other contestants to challenge him. Despite their efforts, Phoenix fended them off. Xing Jiu intervened, declaring that Phoenix's true opponent was him. The Old Ice King then officially announced a magic competition between Xing Jiu and Phoenix.

During their magic competition, Xing Jiu had already cast a powerful dream on Phoenix at the very beginning, easily triumphing over him. However, Phoenix defiantly attempted to declare himself the winner and Lan Shang's husband. The Old Ice King intervened, formally announcing Xing Jiu as the true victor of the round. At this moment, Fire King dramatically stepped forward, announcing his intention to introduce another competitor – himself. The Mermaid Saint protested, accusing Fire King of breaking the established rules.

Fire King dismissed her objections, asserting that if he could defeat Xing Jiu, it would prove his superiority. He then directly threatened to forcibly take Princess Lan Shang if they refused to comply, thereby giving him an excuse to initiate a war. To prevent outright conflict, the Old Ice King reluctantly agreed to allow Xing Jiu to continue fighting.

Fire King, now facing Xing Jiu, used his absolute Fire Globe of Despair, claiming that Xing Jiu's dream magic, being inherently designed for hope, could never be stronger than his own destructive power. Suddenly, both Fire King and Xing Jiu vanished into the depths of the Fire Globe of Despair. Upon learning that Xing Jiu was trapped within the Fire Globe of Despair, Ka Suo immediately resolved to rescue him.

Li Tianjin questioned his decision, reminding Ka Suo that he had once lost his spiritual powers in the Fire Globe of Despair. He asked if Ka Suo wasn't afraid to enter it again. Ka Suo replied with unwavering determination that since he had already experienced such a loss once, he had no reason to fear a second time.

Within Fire King's Fire Globe of Despair, Xing Jiu was tormented by a vivid illusion of his deceased sister, Xing Gui, who smiled and attacked him, accusing him of forcing her to her death. Xing Jiu, understanding it was Fire King's deceptive magic, resisted, reminding himself that the real Xing Gui was gone. The illusion pressed him, demanding he confess his hatred for giving her up for Ka Suo.

Xing Jiu vehemently denied any hatred, expressing that, if given a choice, he would rather die by her hand, but she was no longer alive. He asserted that while the Fire Globe could inflict pain, death itself would be a form of release for him. Fire King then appeared within the illusion, empowering the illusory Xing Gui to deliver a devastating blow to Xing Jiu. Outside, frantic over Xing Jiu's disappearance, everyone sought a way to enter the Fire Globe.

Huang Tuo wondered if Yan Da knew. Ka Suo directly questioned Yan Da, but she claimed ignorance, stating it was her father's most formidable spell. Lan Shang lamented the absence of Ying Kong Shi, recalling that he was the only one who had previously entered the Fire Globe of Despair to save Ka Suo. This remembrance sparked a realization in Ka Suo. Despite Li Luo's reminder that Ying Kong Shi would not return, Ka Suo insisted, "Shi is right here."

Li Tianjin, observing Ka Suo, seemed puzzled by his words. Ka Suo then presented a ring, explaining it was the last item Ying Kong Shi had left for him, containing a dream sealed by Xing Gui. He believed a remnant of Ying Kong Shi's spiritual powers within the ring could reveal a loophole to the Fire Globe of Despair, trusting that the ring held his brother's most cherished memories.

Li Tianjin, witnessing this, pondered why he had left memories for Ka Suo, questioning if this was the reason for his own lost past. Utilizing the sealed memories within Ying Kong Shi's ring, Ka Suo finally pinpointed a weakness in the Fire Globe of Despair. Wielding the God-Slaying Sword, he entered, dispelling the illusion of Xing Gui and allowing a severely wounded Xing Jiu to emerge.

Although Fire King had effectively won this round, he then confronted Ka Suo, provocatively asking if Ka Suo was to be his next opponent. Ka Suo, raising the God-Slaying Sword in resolve, affirmed his intention to end their long-standing conflict that day. Fire King, attempting to create discord, taunted Ka Suo by suggesting he was sacrificing his love for Li Luo for victory, just like his father, or implying he was using the opportunity to marry Lan Shang.

Enraged by these provocations, Ka Suo warned Fire King that if he continued to use Lan Shang as an excuse, the sword would find its mark. As Ka Suo prepared to engage Fire King, Lan Shang unexpectedly stepped forward, asserting her role as the judge of the competition. She declared that Xing Jiu had lost to Fire King.

Then, forgoing her own happiness, she disqualified Ka Suo, stating that since he already had a queen, she was unwilling to share a husband with a mortal. To protect her people and Ka Suo, she proclaimed that since no one had defeated Fire King, she would willingly accompany him back to the Fire Tribe that night. Ka Suo protested, but Lan Shang, thanking him, affirmed her decision to prevent further sacrifices.

Witnessing Lan Shang's selfless act, Li Luo, regretting her earlier attempts to dissuade Ka Suo from competing, intervened by attacking Fire King. However, she was injured in the confrontation. Fire King then ordered Lan Shang to depart with him, but Li Tianjin suddenly appeared, proclaiming the competition was not over and demanding to participate. He reasoned that Lan Shang had agreed to go with Fire King only because he had been undefeated, and he wished to challenge him.

The Old Ice King announced the third round: Fire King versus Li Tianjin. Fire King attempted to attack, but to everyone's astonishment, he found himself unable to wield any magic. The Mermaid Saint explained that, according to the laws of the Three Realms, having injured a mortal (Li Luo), Fire King would temporarily lose his spiritual powers. Seizing this opportunity, Li Tianjin proposed they abandon magic and engage in a bare-handed fight.

During their physical struggle, Fire King questioned Li Tianjin's motives. Li Tianjin then privately offered Fire King a deal: he promised to assassinate Ka Suo that very night, but only if Fire King intentionally lost the current match to him. Faced with this proposition, Fire King swiftly conceded defeat, falling from the battleground, and Li Tianjin was declared the victor. Immediately after, Lan Shang, overcome by a chilling cold, collapsed. Li Tianjin rushed to her side, offering his help.

Following the match, Fire King comprehended Li Tianjin's cunning strategy: to defeat him and earn Ka Suo's trust, thereby gaining close proximity to kill him. Believing his goal was within reach, Fire King decided to return to the Fire Tribe, though Yan Da remained deeply apprehensive about Li Tianjin. Meanwhile, Lan Shang's frozen illness resurfaced, and Huang Tuo found himself unable to administer acupuncture due to her body's frozen state.

Li Tianjin offered his assistance, and despite Yue Shen's initial skepticism, the Mermaid Saint reminded them of Li Tianjin's previous successful intervention. Li Tianjin then used his magic, which proved uniquely effective in alleviating Lan Shang's symptoms. Puzzled by his exclusive ability, Yue Shen asked Li Tianjin about his tribal origins. Li Tianjin responded disdainfully that he was a rogue god, an orphan who had no knowledge of his own tribe. Reassured by his repeated aid and victory over Fire King, the Mermaid Saint vouched for his intentions.
