Ka Suo declared Li Luo as Queen Li Jing and presented her with a crystal ring. He revealed that he had the ring made long ago and infused some of his vital energy into it so that Li Luo could enjoy the longevity of a god, living for an additional 270 years. This act, however, meant that Ka Suo himself would forfeit his eternal life.

When Li Luo hesitated, finding the gift too precious, Ka Suo reassured her, stating that her refusal could only mean she didn't want to be by his side. He then said, "Wear it. Starting this moment, we'll experience life and death together." As Li Luo put on the ring, her hair instantly turned white, a characteristic of the Ice Tribe. Ka Suo gazed at her deeply, and the couple embraced, dancing as the crowd cheered.

Witnessing this, Lan Shang felt a profound sadness. She murmured, "Turns out there is a way for the crane and mayfly to forever be together." The Ice King overheard her, recalling a story he had once told Li Luo comparing her ephemeral life to a mayfly and Ka Suo's long life to a crane. He wondered how Lan Shang knew this tale.

Lan Shang then walked away, feeling intensely cold, tormented by her dreams where she was the one Ka Suo loved and danced with. When the Mermaid Saint found her, she noted how cold Lan Shang was, but Lan Shang could only repeatedly utter, "I feel so cold." The festive atmosphere was abruptly interrupted by the arrival of Fire King Huo Yi in the City of Bladed Snow.

He "congratulated" the Ice King, proclaiming that his dreams of peace were now one step closer. Ka Suo, however, sensed Huo Yi's insincerity. Yan Da then presented Huo Yi's gift: Princess Lan Shang's Teardrop Charm. Huo Yi declared, "Although our Fire Prince Shuo Gang and Princess Lan Shang haven't been officially married, we have long been a family. This gift is the perfect symbol for this alliance." Lan Shang, confused, asked what a Teardrop Charm was.

The Mermaid Saint, enraged by Huo Yi's words, attempted to attack him but was restrained by the Ice King. Ka Suo confronted Huo Yi, demanding to know his true intentions. Huo Yi stated he had come to reclaim his Fire Prince Shuo Gang's wife, Lan Shang. He offered Ka Suo a choice: if Ka Suo handed Lan Shang over to become the Fire Queen, he would join the alliance and sign a peace contract, promising never to cause trouble again.

But if Ka Suo refused, the peace would not last. Ka Suo firmly stated he would never hand Lan Shang over if she was unwilling. Huo Yi countered, "You don't want this kind of peace, but what if the other tribes want it?" He gave Ka Suo one day to decide between Lan Shang and peace. While overlooking the City of Bladed Snow, Huo Yi indulged in fantasies of unifying the Three Realms and claiming all its beauty for himself.

Phoenix questioned why Huo Yi didn't threaten Ka Suo with Ying Kong Shi, arguing it would be a more direct and painful blow. Yan Da, however, understood her father's cunning plan. She explained that Huo Yi intended to use Lan Shang to dismantle Ka Suo's alliance with the other tribes. If Ka Suo chose to protect Lan Shang and declared war, the peace-seeking tribes would distrust him.

Conversely, if Ka Suo abandoned Lan Shang, the Mermaid Saint would inevitably turn against him, causing him to lose either way. Huo Yi added that this strategy also had another benefit: he feared that if Li Tianjin, the reincarnated Ying Kong Shi, saw Ka Suo desperately trying to save his brother, Li Tianjin might doubt Ka Suo's true animosity.

This way, Li Tianjin's hatred could be fully exploited to ensure he would kill Ka Suo, thereby removing the only obstacle to Huo Yi's ambition of uniting the Three Realms. Huang Tuo, Yue Shen, and Xing Jiu returned to the City of Bladed Snow. Xing Jiu reported that Die Che's actions regarding Chao Ya were not malicious but rather a way to help her recover from her grief. They quickly turned their attention to Huo Yi's demand concerning Lan Shang.

The Ice King elaborated on Huo Yi's scheme, highlighting that protecting Lan Shang would be seen as rejecting peace by other tribes, while surrendering her would alienate the Mermaid Tribe and destroy their long-standing alliance. Yue Shen proposed assassinating Huo Yi, but Ka Suo rejected this as too risky, given Huo Yi's unknown power and the presence of Phoenix.

The Mermaid Saint then suggested withdrawing from the alliance and declaring war on the Fire Tribe alone, but Ka Suo also refused, unwilling to let the Mermaid Tribe face such danger by themselves. Lan Shang attempted to approach Ka Suo, but the guards, following Ka Suo's orders to protect her from worry, blocked her. Li Luo arrived and invited Lan Shang for a walk. Li Luo asked Lan Shang how she felt about being named Shuo Gang's wife.

Lan Shang confessed to feeling shocked initially but remembered nothing of it. She speculated that the Mermaid Saint and Ka Suo were deliberately keeping the past from her to spare her pain, and she preferred not to know the distressing truth. Nearby, Young Master Yan Huang loudly complained about other Divine Tribes departing. Li Luo inquired and learned that many weaker divine tribes from Divine Snow Mountain, who had joined the alliance, were now leaving.

They believed that due to the thousands of years of friendship between the Ice and Mermaid Tribes, Ka Suo would surely refuse Huo Yi's demand, inevitably leading to a war. Fearing the conflict, these weaker tribes were abandoning the City of Bladed Snow in search of safer havens. Lan Shang realized with dismay that these departures were happening because of her. Yan Da found Li Tianjin setting off fireworks before his mother's tomb.

She asked if he remembered, implying the fireworks were something she had taught Ying Kong Shi. Li Tianjin, however, replied that he couldn't even remember his own mother, so it must be a coincidence, adding that he used fireworks to ensure his mother wasn't lonely in the placid Ice Tribe. Yan Da urged him to leave the dangerous Ice and Fire Tribes with her for the Mortal Realm to start a new life, forgetting everything about Ying Kong Shi.

Li Tianjin stated that the only thing he remembered was Ka Suo killing Ying Kong Shi and even his mother, questioning the meaning of remembering anything else. As Yan Da tried to tell him the truth about Ka Suo, she was suddenly unable to speak. Phoenix appeared, claiming Yan Da had been ambushed by the Ice Tribe as a ploy to threaten Huo Yi. Phoenix instructed Li Tianjin to leave, assuring him he could cure Yan Da.

After Li Tianjin departed, Phoenix revealed to the muted Yan Da that Huo Yi had anticipated her attempt to reveal the truth and had ordered him to watch her. Phoenix warned her that this time he would let her off with a warning, but if she tried again, not even Fire King would forgive her. Lan Shang waited on a rooftop, anticipating Ka Suo's arrival.

Ka Suo arrived and firmly told her that no matter what, he would never send her to the Fire Tribe. Lan Shang, however, insisted that he hand her over the next day. When Ka Suo adamantly refused, declaring he would bring her back even if she went herself, Lan Shang demanded, "Why should I listen to you?" Ka Suo replied, "Because this is a king's order."

Lan Shang then proposed her ultimate condition to prevent her departure: "If you want to stop me from going to the Fire Tribe, there is only one solution: Marry me." Ka Suo hesitated, and Lan Shang, noticing his internal struggle, said, "I just knew you wouldn't do it. You only like Queen Li Jing. If you can't bring yourself to do it, you have no right to stop me from marrying whoever I want."

Ka Suo grabbed her hand, but Li Luo, who had just arrived, witnessed the entire exchange and walked away, heartbroken. Xing Jiu then appeared, greeting Li Luo before approaching Ka Suo, stating he had an idea. The next day, Lan Shang confronted Huo Yi. She questioned him, "You claim that I'm the Fire Queen, but where is my husband right now?" Huo Yi replied that Shuo Gang had long since become "feed for the citizens of the Endless Sea."

Lan Shang then declared that since her husband was dead, she was no longer the Fire Queen and had no reason to go to the Fire Tribe. Ka Suo informed Huo Yi that Lan Shang would make her own decision. Lan Shang then proposed a solution: Since Huo Yi had come for her marriage, she would turn it into a magic competition, and she would marry whoever emerged victorious.

When Huo Yi questioned her right to do so, Lan Shang retorted that while he didn't have to participate, the competition would proceed. She warned that if the Fire Tribe withdrew, it would be their choice, but if they used this as an excuse to attack the Ice Tribe and the Three Realms, they would be initiating an unjustified war.

In such a scenario, the Three Realms would unite even more strongly against the Fire Tribe, a consequence she believed he would not want. Huo Yi, after some thought, agreed to play her game. Phoenix suggested that Huo Yi should simply launch a full-scale war instead of wasting time with games.

However, Huo Yi dismissed the idea, asserting that Ka Suo, being married to Li Jing, would never participate in a competition for another woman's hand to avoid hurting Li Luo's feelings. This, he believed, would give the Fire Tribe a higher chance of winning Lan Shang. Phoenix questioned the point of winning Lan Shang if the alliance couldn't be broken.

Huo Yi explained his strategic goal: acquiring Princess Lan Shang would grant him control over the Mermaid Tribe and, crucially, the Endless Sea, which would then become a direct path for the Fire Tribe army to march straight into the Ice Tribe's territory. Ka Suo recognized that Huo Yi would not give up, and the competition was inevitable. He hoped that this approach would limit the number of tribesmen involved and save innocent lives.

Xing Jiu, understanding Ka Suo's predicament, offered to compete on his behalf. He knew Ka Suo would prioritize Li Luo's feelings and hesitate to enter a competition for another woman. Ka Suo acknowledged Xing Jiu's insight, admitting that the current Li Luo had been feeling insecure since regaining consciousness, and he didn't want to add to her stress.

Xing Jiu recalled a conversation with Li Luo where she confided that she hadn't been sleeping well and asked him to interpret her dreams. Meanwhile, by the Endless Sea, the Mermaid Saint reflected on her 10,000 years of neutrality in the conflicts between the Ice and Fire Tribes. She realized that now was the time to choose and found herself at peace, choosing the Ice Tribe for her beloved Lan Shang.

When Lan Shang joined her, the Mermaid Saint praised her growth. She recalled how Ka Suo had mentioned Lan Shang's willingness to sacrifice herself by going to the Fire Tribe before the competition was decided. The Saint acknowledged that such courage and responsibility showed Lan Shang's qualifications to be a Mermaid Saint. She felt both worried and pleased, telling Lan Shang, "You are no longer the little princess who needs my protection. You've really grown up."

Later, Li Luo sought out Ka Suo, having learned of Xing Jiu's intention to compete. She asked Ka Suo if he would step in and compete himself should Xing Jiu lose. Ka Suo unequivocally confirmed, "Yes, I will compete."
