The Seven Holy Magic Cubes rose and united, and Ka Suo stepped forward to touch the Holy Magic Cube, only to be drawn into a dream. He found himself on Lian Qiu Rock Island, where a snow fog bird flew past and then crashed to its death, its blood spilling onto the ground, just as Xing Jiu had foretold in a dream earlier.

Xing Jiu was puzzled by this recurring dream, as Yuan Ji had already been defeated and the mysteries of Lian Qiu Rock solved. Ka Suo recalled Xing Gui's words in the dream, "binary stars will eventually meet," suggesting that events were far from over. He wondered if there might be an even more powerful force that gave the Ice-Flame Tribe their magic.

However, the Old Ice King confessed he knew nothing more, stating that after Yuan Ji, the history of the Ice-Flame Tribe became obscured, and any stronger power would remain unknown to them. Meanwhile, a group of realm guardians shared drinks, their boisterous camaraderie making Li Luo feel like an outsider. She admitted to them that she had lost her memories and sought to understand her former self, especially since Ka Suo considered them her best friends.

The guardians described her as the strongest among them, an "iron-faced" warrior who was more like a man than a woman, even going to public baths with them and possessing a singing voice worse than a ghost's wail. Li Luo was disheartened, as she distinctly remembered loving to sing and being good at it. Qin Chu then returned her weapon, expressing his hope that they would one day fight alongside each other again.

Suddenly, a commotion outside signaled an attack, and the guardians rushed out, weapons in hand. Elsewhere, Mermaid Princess Lan Shang was happily drinking and befriending Young Lord Yan Huang of the Unzhen Tribe from Divine Snow Mountain. The invaders, led by Prince Shang Lie from Divine Snow Mountain, attempted to enter the City of Bladed Snow and clashed with the realm guardians.

As Shang Lie took advantage of the chaos to attack Li Luo, she instinctively let out a Mermaid Song, surprising everyone present. Li Luo then declared herself the King's wife and offered them entry into the city if they surrendered their weapons, which they did. Inside the City of Bladed Snow, Ka Suo recognized Shang Lie, whom he had previously encountered in Divine Snow Mountain. Huang Tuo tended to the injured.

Shang Lie explained that they had fought Phoenix for three days and nights, suffering defeat and being outnumbered when other Divine Snow Mountain beings pledged loyalty to Phoenix. They had endured immense hardship, crossing the Endless Sea to reach City of Bladed Snow. Yue Shen, however, warned Ka Suo that Shang Lie was not to be trusted, recalling their past betrayals in City of Bladed Snow.

Hearing this, Shang Lie prepared to leave, fearing his presence would bring disaster as Phoenix was pursuing them. Ka Suo intervened, urging him to stay and recuperate, emphasizing that Phoenix was now their common enemy and they should unite. Shang Lie accepted. In Fire City, Yan Da was under constant surveillance by her father's guards.

She suddenly encountered Phoenix, who declared himself the new lord of Divine Snow Mountain and announced that the Fire Tribe was his first target, offering them the chance to surrender. Enraged by his arrogance, Yan Da prepared to fight him. Just then, Fire King arrived and proposed an alliance with Phoenix, suggesting their goals aligned. Later, in City of Bladed Snow, Li Luo escorted Shang Lie and his group to their rooms.

When asked about the song she sang, Li Luo admitted she didn't know what it was. Shang Lie explained it was a Mermaid Tribe song that could control a person's will. Still, Li Luo couldn't recall anything about it. Shang Lie expressed gratitude that Li Luo had chosen to stop the conflict rather than forcing them into self-destruction, cementing his belief that seeking refuge with the Ice King was the right decision. Li Luo was pleased to hear this.

Back in Fire City, Fire King and Phoenix shared a drink. Phoenix stated that if Fire King sought to dominate the Three Realms, they would become enemies. Fire King countered that Phoenix's enemy was his, declaring his unwavering intent to defeat Ka Suo. Yan Da, observing them, mocked Phoenix's boastful words, reminding him of his hasty retreat from Divine Snow Mountain.

Phoenix retorted that Ka Suo would have died in Divine Snow Mountain if Yan Da hadn't interfered with his plan. Yan Da dismissed his excuse, stating that only losers blame others for their failures. Fire King interrupted their argument, acknowledging that neither of them currently possessed the power to defeat Ka Suo. He then introduced an "esteemed guest," Li Tianjin.

Li Tianjin dramatically leaped into the hall, proclaiming that Ka Suo's life belonged to him and no one else should dare claim it. Phoenix, disdainful of Li Tianjin's masked face, questioned his power, but Li Tianjin swiftly used Ice-Flame magic to overpower him. Phoenix recognized the powerful magic. Li Tianjin then directly asked if he could defeat Ka Suo. Phoenix responded, "maybe roughly." Unsatisfied with the ambiguity, Li Tianjin threw Phoenix to the ground before departing.

Realizing the shifting power dynamics, Phoenix reluctantly agreed to an alliance with Fire King. Li Tianjin stood watching fireworks when Yan Da approached him. She questioned if he truly trusted Fire King and if his hatred for Ka Suo was genuine. Li Tianjin asserted that he trusted no one but himself, his mind consumed by a singular thought: to kill Ka Suo.

He explained that his heart ached whenever he saw Ka Suo, and only Ka Suo's death would bring him peace. Yan Da then recalled setting off fireworks for him in the past, and he would always thank her. She expressed sadness that he hadn't thanked her now. Li Tianjin coldly stated he would never thank her. Yan Da sighed, observing that whether as Ying Kong Shi or Li Tianjin, he remained arrogant and untamable.

She resolved to wait until he learned gratitude before telling him what she truly wanted to say. In City of Bladed Snow, Li Luo sought out Xing Jiu, asking if there had once been a competition in the plaza between a singer and a zither player, where the singer emerged victorious. Xing Jiu was bewildered, as Li Luo had been in the North Forbidden Land at the time and shouldn't remember such an event.

Li Luo felt a headache coming on, unable to pinpoint where she might have heard that mermaid song. Ka Suo sat playing a bamboo leaf, thinking of Ying Kong Shi and hoping that his brother, who still possessed the Sole Bamboo Leaf flute, could hear his call. Near the Endless Sea, Ka Suo remained vigilant for Phoenix's arrival. Lan Shang was delighted to see Ka Suo.

He was pleased to learn that she had successfully resolved issues with the Unzhen Tribe from Divine Snow Mountain. Lan Shang excitedly shared that the Unzhen Tribe had pledged allegiance to Ka Suo as the King of the Three Realms. Satisfied that Mermaid Island was safe, Ka Suo prepared to return to City of Bladed Snow. Upon his return to City of Bladed Snow, Li Luo met Ka Suo at the gates.

Ka Suo recounted Lan Shang's feat of befriending the Unzhen Tribe through drinking, remarking that such behavior was much like Li Luo's old habits, which made him think of her past self. Huang Tuo then presented Ka Suo with a night-shining pearl containing a message from Lan Shang, inviting him to enjoy Mermaid Tribe fruit wine on his next visit. Seeing Ka Suo's smile as he watched the message, Li Luo's expression darkened, and she turned away.

Li Luo retreated to her room, upset by Lan Shang's message. Ka Suo knocked on her door. Though still unhappy, she eventually opened it, initially telling him to talk tomorrow due to the late hour. Ka Suo took her hand and led her to a rooftop, reminding her of their past times drinking together on rooftops in the Mortal Realm. He gently asked what he had done wrong.

Li Luo replied that he was not at fault, but she was, for remembering nothing. Emotionally, she expressed feeling disconnected from him, as if Huang Tuo, Yue Shen, and even Lan Shang, whom he had just encountered, were closer to him than his own wife. Overwhelmed by her inability to recall their shared past, a distraught Li Luo lost her footing and fell from the rooftop. Ka Suo immediately leaped after her to save her.
