In City of Bladed Snow, Lan Shang revealed to Li Luo that Ka Suo only had a month to live if the Sword Spirits were not expelled from his body. Li Luo was stunned, as Ka Suo had told her his condition had stabilized. Lan Shang explained that Ka Suo lied to protect her feelings and had kept his distance to spare her future pain, proving how much he truly loved her.
Li Luo expressed surprise, noting that Lan Shang, who also loved Ka Suo, was speaking this way. Lan Shang affirmed her love, saying she would have no regrets even if Ka Suo's heart only held Li Luo. She then pressed Li Luo, asking if she was willing to love Ka Suo to the point of sacrificing everything, even herself.
Li Luo responded that reality would prove her love, but Lan Shang insisted on a promise that Li Luo would courageously love Ka Suo to ease her worries. At that moment, Ying Kong Shi intervened, using his magic to take Lan Shang away, telling Li Luo to leave her to him. As Ying Kong Shi carried her away, Lan Shang struggled, explaining that she only sought Li Luo for Ka Suo's sake.
She wanted Li Luo to promise to bravely love Ka Suo, unburdened by the rules of the Divine Realm, and focus solely on him. Ying Kong Shi stated that he believed Li Luo because Ka Suo loved and trusted her, so he did too. Still, Lan Shang worried, observing Ka Suo avoiding Li Luo, and feared that he might leave this world without ever being with the one he loved.
Ying Kong Shi expressed understanding, but Lan Shang sharply replied that he couldn't possibly understand, as he had never loved. Later, Li Luo presented the book of the Fallen Oracle to the Ice King, asserting that it was the only method to save Ka Suo's life, even if forbidden. She Yin, before his death, had revealed that the Fallen Oracle could be summoned from the imperial library using this book, and Li Luo requested permission to enter.
The Ice King agreed. Inside the library, Li Luo initially found no response from the book, leaving her frustrated. Suddenly, the Fallen Oracle glowed, emitted a burst of fire, and spoke, "If you wish to have what you want, you will certainly lose something." Li Luo confirmed it was the Fallen Oracle and asked how to save a god possessed by the God Devouring Sword. The Oracle replied, "The Early Death Exchange Spell.
To save a life, a life must be lost. Whose life will you exchange with me?" After a moment's thought, Li Luo offered her own life as Realm Guardian Li Luo in exchange. Meanwhile, Lian Ji was preparing a token for Ying Kong Shi's coronation, planning to embed her Teardrop Charm within it. The charm suddenly pulsed, and Lian Ji, thinking it was Fire King, instead saw Shuo Gang appear, having used the Teardrop Charm to locate her.
Soon after, Fire King himself arrived, revealing that he knew Ying Kong Shi was his son and the future Ice King, who could help him unite the three realms. Lian Ji dismissed his ambition as a delusion. Fire King then threatened to expose Ying Kong Shi's true identity as not an Ice Prince if Lian Ji and Ying Kong Shi didn't cooperate, promising to force him off the throne and make him a laughingstock in the Divine Realm.
After Fire King departed, Lian Ji, furious, snatched the Teardrop Charm from Shuo Gang and threw him off a cliff. As Shuo Gang struggled to recover, Lian Ji informed him that her Teardrop Charm would soon be embedded in Ying Kong Shi's token. She instructed Shuo Gang to return to Fire King and warn him not to threaten her, challenging him to come directly to City of Bladed Snow if he dared.
Upon his return to the City of Ashes, Shuo Gang was ambushed by Yan Da, who demanded to know what he and Fire King were hiding about Ying Kong Shi. Shuo Gang refused to tell her and advised her to stop thinking about Ying Kong Shi, stating their relationship was impossible. Yan Da declared she would personally kill Ying Kong Shi whenever she saw him.
Shuo Gang retorted that Fire King would not permit it, as he was growing increasingly fond of Ying Kong Shi. Yan Da wondered if Fire King's affection stemmed from her, but Shuo Gang dismissed the idea, clarifying that Ying Kong Shi was the future Ice King and their sworn enemy. Yan Da was left to ponder Ying Kong Shi's actions and the mystery surrounding him, believing there must be a deeper reason for his actions.
The coronation ceremony for Ying Kong Shi began, with many attendees. Ka Suo, however, noticed Li Luo's absence and felt a pang of worry. Ying Kong Shi, in grand ceremonial attire, approached the Ice King, much to Lian Ji's delight. The Ice King gestured for Ying Kong Shi to take his seat on the throne, to widespread applause. Representatives from various tribes began to present their magical gifts as tokens of loyalty.
Huang Tuo from the Healer Tribe presented the Evergreen Precious Bottle, causing withered flowers to bloom, while Chao Ya offered the Wind Glider Cape, allowing her to fly. As the gifts were presented, Xing Jiu discreetly observed for any magical traces of the spy but found none. When it came time for the Ice Tribe royal family to present their gifts, Lian Ji offered the meticulously crafted token to Ying Kong Shi.
However, as he held it, the token suddenly ignited with an uncontrollable blaze, a clear sign of Fire Tribe magic. Ying Kong Shi swiftly ordered the city sealed and the Fire Tribe spy captured. During the search for the spy, Qin Chu spotted something unusual near an ice sculpture. As he investigated, a figure burst out, and he gave chase. He was injured by the unknown assailant, only to realize with shock that it was Li Luo.
Outside City of Bladed Snow, Shuo Gang, who had managed to escape in disguise, was apprehended by Xuan Ta. The Ice King prepared to interrogate Shuo Gang, but Ying Kong Shi intervened, preventing him and Ka Suo from doing so. Ying Kong Shi feared that Shuo Gang might reveal he had secretly taught him Fire magic, which could expose his true identity. He insisted on interrogating Shuo Gang himself. Later, Li Luo was found and rescued by Qin Chu.
Upon waking, she noticed strange blood on her hand that was not her own. Qin Chu asked her about her transformation, and Li Luo confessed to the trade she made with the Fallen Oracle: her life for Ka Suo's. She explained that every day after sunset, she would transform into a mindless, ravenous beast, driven by hunger to tear apart any living creature, becoming a bloodthirsty monster.
Qin Chu was bewildered and questioned her foolish sacrifice, wondering if Ka Suo would still love her. Li Luo replied that she didn't need his love, only for him to live well. She then asked Qin Chu to keep her secret and warn the realm guardians to avoid the forest, as she would hide far away to prevent anyone from being harmed. She accepted her chosen path, unable and unwilling to turn back.
Meanwhile, Xuan Ta was interrogating Shuo Gang when Lian Ji arrived. She angrily demanded to know why her token had been confiscated and berated Xuan Ta and the guards for their failure to prevent sabotage at the coronation. Dismissing everyone, she spoke privately with Shuo Gang, who revealed he had been sent by Fire King to infiltrate the Ice Tribe and remove any obstacles to Ying Kong Shi's ascension.
Shuo Gang explained that he overheard some elves discussing Xing Jiu's plan to expose the Fire Tribe spy by examining the magic left in their gifts during the coronation ceremony. To protect Lian Ji, whom he recognized as the spy due to her connection with Fire King, he deliberately tampered with the Teardrop Charm in her token, triggering the fire to prevent her from being exposed by her own magic.
Lian Ji then demanded the Teardrop Charm, which Shuo Gang claimed was in his pocket. However, Lian Ji couldn't find it, and Shuo Gang speculated that Xuan Ta might have taken it when he was captured.
