Du Guruonan, still holding a faint hope, felt her heart sink as Ji Mo hesitated to answer her question about his feelings. She firmly stated that from then on, she would keep her distance and did not want him appearing during her most vulnerable moments. She asked him to stop following her if he hadn't made a clear decision.

The following morning, after Si Da's unanswered phone calls, Du Guruonan received a summons from her boss for a 2 PM meeting. She arrived prepared to resign due to Si Da's withdrawal from the competition. Si Da, taking full responsibility, apologized and offered to compensate the company for all losses, even promising to earn money to repay them, and pleaded with the boss not to blame Du Guruonan. Du Guruonan confirmed her intention to resign.

However, the boss stated he had never held high expectations for Si Da, so he wasn't disappointed. He announced that the company had released a statement attributing Si Da's withdrawal to vocal cord damage, and the matter was to be closed, with no responsibility pursued against either of them.

Unexpectedly, the head of Ruiqi Group, impressed by Si Da's initial performance video, decided to sponsor him for a single album and invited him and Du Guruonan to Yunnan for a music video shoot. Si Da was overjoyed, prompting the boss to call him a "lucky fool." Du Guruonan, however, needed time to consider both the Yunnan trip and whether to continue as Si Da's agent, expressing her disappointment in his recent behavior.

Outside the office, Si Da desperately tried to stop Du Guruonan from leaving, apologizing profusely and promising to change anything if she would stay. Du Guruonan told him his current behavior and mindset were unsuitable for an artist. In his desperate attempt to plead with her, he tripped and fell while chasing her car. Softening, Du Guruonan got out to check his injuries.

He reiterated his promise to act solely as her artist with no other intentions if she remained his agent. She agreed, sternly warning him to focus on his work, pack his bags for Yunnan, and ensure he kept his professional mindset, or she would terminate their contract immediately. Later, as Si Da packed his belongings for Yunnan, including numerous instant noodles for his sensitive stomach and to save money, Chen Fei'er visited.

During a conversation with Du Guruonan, Chen Fei'er inadvertently revealed that the bank card Du Guruonan possessed was actually from Ji Mo, not an ex-boyfriend's breakup compensation as Du Guruonan had believed. Chen Fei'er shared that Ai Li thought Ji Mo was sincere in his feelings for Du Guruonan. Du Guruonan, however, held a rational view on love, especially for women over twenty-five.

She found it hard to accept "unprincipled love" that required waiting for a response and stated that if Ji Mo truly liked her, he would have come to her. Chen Fei'er found this rational approach to love "exhausting" and "boring," but Du Guruonan maintained that self-love should always be paramount. Meanwhile, Ji Mo, struggling with fabric design for his new brand, found inspiration after recalling old designer Wei Censhu's pure and natural creative philosophy.

He decided to personally travel to Dali to invite Wei Censhu to be a collaborating designer. Unbeknownst to them, Ji Mo and Du Guruonan were both heading to the same city and would check into the same hotel. The next day, Ji Mo visited Wei Censhu at a local tie-dye workshop. A teacher at the workshop explained the intricate Bai ethnic tie-dye technique, from stitching to dyeing, as a national intangible cultural heritage.

Ji Mo expressed his admiration for Wei Censhu's past eveningwear collection and formally invited him to collaborate on Wing Fashion's new designer collection, emphasizing how Wei Censhu's work harmonized with their brand's aesthetic. Wei Censhu politely declined, stating he had long retired from the fashion industry to focus on promoting Bai tie-dye culture.

When Ji Mo pressed, asking if their offer lacked appeal or if there were other conditions, Wei Censhu confessed he was bound by a promise to a friend who had helped him in the past, a friend who had asked him not to collaborate with Wing Fashion. Ji Mo, respecting his decision, accepted the refusal, unaware that this "friend" was Zhao Yucheng, who later called someone to confirm his actions against Wei Censhu were to make him repay a debt.

During this time, Chen Fei'er visited Ai Li at the psychiatric ward. She witnessed an agitated patient, Mr. Zhang, vehemently confronting Ai Li. Mr. Zhang claimed Ai Li's anxiety diagnosis had caused his wife to divorce him, demanding a change to his medical records or compensation. Ai Li calmly explained that the diagnosis was scientifically based and couldn't be altered due to professional ethics, and tried to reassure him that his "pathological anxiety" was treatable.

Mr. Zhang grew agitated, pushing Ai Li to the ground. Chen Fei'er intervened, warning the patient to direct his anger at her. Later, back in Ai Li's office, Ai Li thanked Chen Fei'er, who downplayed her concern, attributing it to not wanting to waste the money she spent hiring him. Ai Li affectionately called her "tough talk but soft heart." Chen Fei'er then informed Ai Li that Du Guruonan was in Yunnan.

Ai Li, in turn, revealed that Ji Mo was also in Dali, staying at Hotel Indigo for a designer collaboration. Realizing Du Guruonan was at the same hotel, Chen Fei'er impulsively wanted to inform Ji Mo. However, Ai Li advised against it, suggesting they let fate decide if the two were meant to cross paths. Du Guruonan decided to give Si Da a day off from their busy schedule in Yunnan, teasing him about being her "cash cow."

They visited a local wishing tree where Du Guruonan openly wished for Si Da's grand success and personal wealth. Secretly, she made a heartfelt wish: "If I could meet him again, I hope I can be braver." While Si Da went to buy water, Ji Mo unexpectedly appeared. Overwhelmed, Du Guruonan rushed to hug him, exclaiming how quickly her wish had come true.

Ji Mo, however, maintained his distance, stating his presence was a work-related coincidence and he had no intention of meeting her. Hurt, Du Guruonan accused him of using a poor excuse, reminding him she had come to Yunnan to avoid him, only for him to appear "like in a drama." Ji Mo insisted he had tried to stay away.

Feeling foolish, Du Guruonan retracted her earlier words, suggesting they should simply go their separate ways and never meet again, lamenting that the wishing tree could only bring them together, not control their destinies. She then noted with a sigh that Ji Mo had actually left when told to, something he wasn't usually so obedient about. Si Da, witnessing Du Guruonan's emotional embrace with Ji Mo, walked away dejectedly.

He was then abruptly pulled into a frantic escape by a young woman in a wedding dress, Shen Qiansha, who was fleeing from several bodyguards. In the chaos, Si Da dropped his phone. Du Guruonan, realizing Si Da was missing, tried to call him, but a stranger answered, explaining he found the phone near the intersection of Old Town First and Second Street.

Unable to contact Si Da, Du Guruonan returned to the hotel with Ji Mo, where they realized they were staying in the same establishment. Ji Mo stood contemplatively on the balcony while Du Guruonan anxiously waited downstairs. She called the police to report Si Da missing but was informed that they could not open a case until 24 hours had passed since his disappearance, despite her concerns about his safety.

Meanwhile, Shen Qiansha, who was escaping an arranged marriage to the son of a corporate tycoon, offered Si Da advice on his unrequited love for Du Guruonan while they wandered by the riverside. She encouraged him to "play hard to get" and "air her out" for a few days, suggesting that this would make Du Guruonan appreciate him more.

She also persuaded him to drink, calling it a "funeral" for lost love and dismissing his obedience to Du Guruonan as why she treated him like a younger brother. Despite initially feeling more sorrowful after drinking, Si Da enjoyed Shen Qiansha's antics, and the two bonded happily.
