Despite Ji Mo's repeated assertions that he would never like Du Guruonan, Chen Fei'er's guidance led him into deep thought about his feelings. Meanwhile, Du Guruonan learned Chen Fei'er was hospitalized and immediately went to visit her. Chen Fei'er, who developed an allergic reaction because of Ji Mo, surprisingly decided to give up on him, stating that keeping his presence wouldn't secure his heart.

She pointed out that Ji Mo's gaze towards Du Guruonan was different, convinced that he liked Du Guruonan. Chen Fei'er encouraged her best friend to bravely pursue Ji Mo, dismissing Du Guruonan's hesitation about liking a man her friend once had feelings for, emphasizing that their long-standing friendship was more important than any man.

That evening, Du Guruonan returned home with Sida, explaining that Sida was under immense pressure and needed her guidance, so he would be staying there for a few days. She then ordered Ji Mo to move out quickly. Ji Mo, however, refused, arguing that his lease on Du Guruonan's apartment hadn't expired. Du Guruonan then proposed a compromise: Ji Mo could stay if Sida shared a room with him.

Ji Mo initially vehemently opposed, calling Du Guruonan sloppy, domineering, and snobbish, and accusing her of having taken over his nest by bringing Sida in without asking. When Sida offered to go home to avoid causing trouble, Du Guruonan begged Ji Mo to let Sida stay, reminding him that Sida was a young kid with nowhere safe to go. Ji Mo relented, agreeing to let Sida stay if he slept on the sofa.

Du Guruonan then offered Sida her room, saying she would sleep on the sofa, which finally prompted Ji Mo to make a further concession and let Sida share his room. Du Guruonan celebrated her success. Later that night, Ji Mo's sleepwalking re-emerged. Sida saw him rise and head towards Du Guruonan's room. Sida quickly intercepted him at the door, hearing Ji Mo mumble, "I like Dugu Ruonan," before immediately contradicting himself with, "No, impossible. I wouldn't like Dugu Ruonan."

Ji Mo then claimed it didn't matter anymore before Sida guided him back to bed. After calmly reflecting, Du Guruonan had a clear realization: her immediate priority wasn't to defeat anyone, but to strengthen herself. She acknowledged Ji Mo's helpfulness and dependability, despite his seemingly unreliable nature, and thanked him for accepting Sida into their home, which she considered the safest place for the boy.

Du Guruonan then planned to hire several teachers to provide Sida with comprehensive training in vocals, dance, and line delivery. She advised him to learn patience, emphasizing that they were not yet strong enough to confront their opponents directly. Instead, she urged him to focus on becoming outstanding, reminding him that his greatest opponent was himself. Sida confessed that his true concern wasn't his own grievances but the fear of burdening Du Guruonan, especially after witnessing her being hurt.

Du Guruonan reassured him, stating she wasn't someone who gave without expecting returns, and expected him to make her loads of money so she could regain her position as Head Agent. Driven by a desire to protect Du Guruonan's reputation, Sida went alone to meet Song Zihao. He apologized for his past actions and pleaded with Song Zihao to publicly clarify the situation, even kneeling and kowtowing in desperation.

Song Zihao mocked Du Guruonan's influence over Sida and tried to convince Sida that Du Guruonan was manipulative and would eventually abandon him. Sida insisted Du Guruonan hadn't sent him and continued to beg for clarification. Song Zihao eventually feigned reconciliation, agreeing to clarify Sida's role in the incident but not Du Guruonan's, unless Sida did whatever he asked.

Sida agreed, and Song Zihao then took him to a nightclub, where he ordered Sida to drink an entire pot of alcohol, promising to clarify things to the reporters the next day. Sida struggled with his aversion to alcohol but drank relentlessly, eventually passing out from intoxication. Meanwhile, Du Guruonan was unable to reach Sida on his phone.

Recalling Sida's strange demeanor that morning, Ji Mo used a phone tracking app he had secretly installed on Sida's phone (which Du Guruonan teasingly called him a "stalker" for) to locate him. When they rushed to the nightclub, Song Zihao and the accompanying women had already left, leaving Sida unconscious, his eyes closed, and breathing with difficulty, showing symptoms of alcohol poisoning. They rushed Sida to the hospital just in time, and he was declared out of life-threatening danger.

Du Guruonan stayed by his bedside to care for him, visibly shaken by how close Sida came to dying. Ji Mo remained with her, offering his jacket and company through the night. The next morning, Du Guruonan woke to find Ji Mo resting opposite her. Suddenly, her boss called, angrily scolding her for failing to manage Sida, whose video of being drunk at the nightclub had gone viral. The viral video further damaged Sida's public image.

Sida, still believing Song Zihao's false promise, was devastated by the situation. Du Guruonan berated him for his impulsiveness and naivety. Ji Mo intervened, suggesting some matters could be discussed calmly, which led to an argument between him and Du Guruonan. Overwhelmed by the conflict and feeling like a burden, Sida declared his decision to quit the entertainment industry. Du Guruonan stopped Sida, reminding him of his signed contract and his lack of respect for her as his agent.

Sida, feigning coldness, stated he no longer needed any rules or an agent and was exhausted by the demands of the entertainment world. Du Guruonan retorted that she didn't need an artist who gave up so easily. After leaving the hospital, Sida felt lost and without a place in the world. He went to a barbecue stall, drank, and reminisced about his journey with Du Guruonan.

He recalled her promise to make him a top-tier star and her strict rules for him, alongside his own promise not to cause her trouble. Tears streamed down his face as he admitted to himself that he didn't want to leave the industry, but he was constantly plagued by the feeling that he brought endless trouble to Du Guruonan, and he couldn't bear the thought of waiting for the day she would abandon him.
