When Dong Dong'en's parents, Dong Yi Ming and Dong Qing, make an unexpected visit, Lou Yuan is caught off guard and tries to make a good impression. Dong Yi Ming is immediately stern, interrogating Lou Yuan about his background. To placate him, Dong Dong'en quickly claims Lou Yuan is a president's driver who also does ride-hailing for extra income. While Dong Yi Ming remains skeptical, Dong Qing is quite taken with Lou Yuan, especially after learning he can cook.
Later, Dong Qing privately questions Dong Dong'en, having correctly deduced from a man's suit and toothbrush in the apartment that she and Lou Yuan are living together. While open-minded, she reminds her daughter to be safe. Dong Dong'en then hesitantly confesses that Lou Yuan is actually the president, but Dong Qing dismisses it as unbelievable, questioning why a wealthy executive would date someone in their modest neighborhood.

He lovingly teases her, and they affirm their mutual feelings. At work, Lan Zhenzhen unknowingly gives Su Qi critical information when she mentions that Lou Yuan is planning a dining saloon.

With no other choice, she and Lan Zhenzhen must go to Dongshi to admit the error and plead for an extension.
