The following morning, Lou Yuan arrived at work radiant and joyful, as if every cell in his body was singing. Wang Zijian, however, was slumped on a sofa, looking unapproachable. He then turned the question to Wang Zijian, who confirmed he had thought things through and that he and Cao Ya would now just be friends.
He declared that as a "love guru," he wouldn't be troubled by love for long and would soon make a comeback. Meanwhile, at Sanjiao Group, Su Qi was frustrated by the massive success of the advertisement Ba'er Creative made for Peony's sauce, which had garnered over 200 million views. He worried about their dwindling market share if Peony's momentum continued.
Mr. Wan of Sanjiao Group, however, was impressed by the ad, praising Lou Yuan's ability to target the youth market and upgrade products. He advised Su Qi to focus on product quality to surpass Lou Yuan, reminding him that the company's future would soon rest on his shoulders. However, Dong Dong'en saw potential in Lan Zhenzhen, who expressed that her main goal was work experience and that she loved the industry. During a break, she overheard Dong Dong'en on the phone with Lou Yuan. Hearing Dong Dong'en apologize for being late and addressing him formally as "Mr. Lou" before being prompted to use a nickname, Lan Zhenzhen misinterpreted the interaction, suspecting Ba'er's success was due to Dong Dong'en using personal connections.
Back at the office, after witnessing Dong Dong'en's impressive speed-reading and summarization skills during a meeting, Lan Zhenzhen was told by Han Chun that her "master" had real abilities and she should learn from her. That night, however, Lan Zhenzhen couldn't handle the long hours and decided to go home, dismissively calling Dong Dong'en's dedication "big talk." As she left, she bumped into Lou Yuan arriving with food for Dong Dong'en and hid to eavesdrop.
She heard Lou Yuan affectionately refer to Dong Dong'en as his "soon-to-be girlfriend" and express his strong desire to make their relationship public to gain the approval of her friends and family. Hearing that it was the CEO, not her boss, who was pushing to go public, Lan Zhenzhen realized her misunderstanding was completely wrong. Meanwhile, Lou Yuan hosted the dinner for the Ba'er team. Ke Maoxu and Han Chun, acting as Dong Dong'en's "family," warned him not to wrong her.
Lou Yuan gave a heartfelt speech, calling Dong Dong'en a "little sun" and promising to be the shoulder she could lean on. Touched, the team agreed to entrust her to him. After the dinner, Lou Yuan and Dong Dong'en shared a tender moment outside, where he embraced her, reluctant to leave. Just then, their intimate scene was interrupted by the unexpected arrival of Dong Dong'en's parents, who were visibly shocked to see their daughter with him.
