Following the photo Li Yuheng posted on her Moments with Gu Nanting and his mother, gossip spreads through the company, with colleagues assuming they are a couple. The next morning, Gu Nanting notices his colleagues whispering about him, while Cheng Xiao gives him the cold shoulder, pointedly ignoring him by watching videos on her phone. Puzzled by the strange atmosphere, Gu Nanting’s confusion is cleared up when Song shows him Li Yuheng’s post.
That night, Gu Nanting calls Li Yuheng to discuss the photo. She admits she saw the comments and, worried about the misunderstanding, considers posting a clarification. Gu Nanting advises against it, suggesting it would only draw more attention. He reassures her that taking a photo together was not wrong but cautions her to be more mindful of posting private pictures to avoid future misinterpretations.
When she offers to delete it, he tells her not to, as it would seem like they have something to hide. Later, Song brings homemade soup to Li Yuheng’s apartment, an act of kindness she appreciates. Gu Nanting gives two talk show tickets to Song, claiming he has a flight and cannot go. However, Song checks the schedule and discovers Gu Nanting is free, deducing the tickets are meant for Cheng Xiao.
He then gives the tickets to Cheng Xiao, playfully exposing Gu Nanting's ploy and suggesting Gu Nanting wants to go with her, which leaves her both amused and flustered. Later, Gu Nanting picks up Cheng Xiao and casually asks about the talk show, but she gives him a deliberately evasive answer. Song, after preparing bird's nest soup for Li Yuheng, is disappointed to learn her flight was diverted to Harbin for an overnight stay.
He then notices a familiar perfume on Xia Zhi, who reveals that Li Yuheng, who dislikes perfume, gave it to her. Crestfallen, Song explains that he had painstakingly chosen that specific scent for Li Yuheng. While trying to get the bottle back from Xia Zhi, he accidentally spills some into her eye. As an apology, Song lets her keep the perfume.
Seeing his feelings, Xia Zhi advises him to give up on Li Yuheng, who she believes only has eyes for Gu Nanting. Song retorts that Gu Nanting already likes someone else but stubbornly refuses to say who, despite Xia Zhi's pestering. Cheng Xiao volunteers to help Gu Nanting with his new safety plan, but he declines, citing the difficult nature of the work and her already heavy flight schedule.
Unfazed, Cheng Xiao humorously tells him to either assign her a boyfriend or a role in the safety plan. Faced with her persistence, Gu Nanting relents, on the condition that she guarantees she gets enough rest. A persistent platinum cardholder, Mr. Wei, books a seat on Li Yuheng's flight and insists on having dinner with her after landing. Uncomfortable, Li Yuheng confides in Gu Nanting, Song, and Cheng Xiao.
At the airport exit, Song confronts Mr. Wei, warning him to stop harassing Li Yuheng. With Gu Nanting and Song's support, Li Yuheng falsely introduces Gu Nanting as her boyfriend and returns a gift Mr. Wei had given her. Feeling misled, Mr. Wei angrily berates her for not being honest about her relationship status sooner and storms off. Worried about a potential complaint, Li Yuheng reports the incident to her manager, Ai Jia.
Ai Jia gently chides Li Yuheng for not setting clear boundaries earlier and giving Mr. Wei false hope. Sensing Li Yuheng's feelings for Gu Nanting, Ai Jia shares her own relationship experience with Xie Zetian, advising her on the importance of clear communication and principles in both love and life. Meanwhile, severe flooding has devastated Lanshan County, an area supported by Luzhou Airlines' poverty alleviation program. At a management meeting, Xu Ce proposes a volunteer mission.
Jiang Tao argues for donations instead, citing staff shortages during the peak summer season. Gu Nanting insists that the disaster area urgently needs physical supplies, proposing they airlift them directly. He acknowledges that this would require converting a passenger plane by removing seats, a costly process since the cargo department was disbanded. Despite Jiang Tao’s insistence that donations are more practical, Gu Nanting argues that money would take too long to reach the victims.
Xu Ce sides with Gu Nanting, deciding to form a rescue team for deployment within two days. Gu Nanting immediately volunteers to lead the mission, and Ni Zhan also signs up. Hoping to help him redeem his reputation after a poor retraining evaluation, Jiang Tao instructs Lin Yicheng to join the rescue team and learn from Gu Nanting. Gu Nanting, in turn, recruits Cheng Xiao and Song, who eagerly agree to join.
Ni Zhan and his engineering team work through the night, removing seats from a passenger jet to make room for cargo. As they finish, it begins to rain. Gu Nanting and Cheng Xiao arrive early to inspect the plane and, seeing Ni Zhan and another engineer working without raincoats, give them their own. The two then stand side-by-side in the intensifying rain, sharing smiles, a quiet moment that is witnessed by Ni Zhan.
