> Go Go Squid 2 Dt.Appledog's Time Recap
At the K&K base, Shen Zhe found Wu Bai lost in thought, correctly guessing he was pining for Ai Qing. Wu Bai, feigning indifference, asked for advice for a "friend" in this situation. Shen Zhe saw through the pretense and advised Wu Bai's "friend" to simply go to her. He highlighted the significant distance, a nearly four-hour journey by subway and bus, and suggested Wu Bai ask Han Shangyan for a team car.
Wu Bai dismissed the idea, stating Han Shangyan lacked the funds. The next day, however, Wu Bai took Shen Zhe to a car dealership and purchased a new RX5 PLUS with his own money. He meticulously tested the comfort of the passenger and rear seats, prompting an amused Shen Zhe to remark on the "noblest body" that would sit there, alluding to Wu Bai's decade-long affection for Ai Qing.
After the purchase, Wu Bai was informed Ai Jing needed Shen Zhe, who then departed. Shen Zhe went to watch Ai Jing's formal rehearsal for the play "Jane Eyre". Afterwards, he grew jealous watching the actor playing Mr. Rochester invite Ai Jing to dinner. He confronted Ai Jing, asking if she remembered his last words to her at the Guangzhou karaoke bar.
When she feigned ignorance, he leaned in as if to kiss her, causing her to quickly cover her mouth. Smiling, Shen Zhe knew she remembered. They sat at the stage piano and played "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" together. He teased her for knowing nursery rhymes, and she retorted that she had many facets he had yet to discover, and they agreed to get to know each other better.
The next morning, Wu Bai arrived in his new car outside Ai Qing's building. Ai Jing, who was just leaving for her rehearsal, spotted him and rushed back to pull a still-brushing-her-teeth Ai Qing to the window. Encouraging her sister to seize the opportunity, Ai Jing left. A pleasantly surprised Ai Qing quickly changed and went downstairs to meet Wu Bai.
She led him to a local breakfast spot, and knowing the long drive he'd made, asked what time he set out. Wu Bai replied that he had left at three or four in the morning, simply because he wanted to have breakfast with her, a response that delighted Ai Qing. Wu Bai enjoyed the restaurant's atmosphere and the meat-stuffed rice balls. He invited Ai Qing to ride the K&K team bus to the Suzhou competition, and she happily agreed.
They sealed the deal by clinking their spoons over their rice balls. A local cat approached their table, and Wu Bai gently picked it up. Ai Qing noted the cat seemed to like him, and Wu Bai smiled, admitting he liked it too. Ai Qing teased him for liking so many things that day. Later, Wu Bai brought some of the salty rice balls back to the K&K base for 97, who was disgusted by the savory flavor.
Wu Bai then found Shen Zhe struggling to control his full-body spinner robot, "Trashcan." He advised Shen Zhe to intensify his two-hand coordination training, noting that such robots are typically operated by two people, and even offered Zhou Yi as a partner. Feeling challenged, Shen Zhe vowed to master solo operation in half a month. Wu Bai gave him a specialized tool to practice his coordination.
Later, Shen Zhe realized he had overlooked Trashcan's strong gyroscopic effects, which caused it to move erratically. While Wu Bai went to modify the simulator, Shen Zhe continued his training, showing significant improvement. On the rainy day of the Suzhou competition, Wu Bai waited by the team bus with an umbrella, a smile spreading across his face as Ai Qing approached. Just then, Wang Hao arrived with Team SP, explaining their bus had broken down and they needed a ride.
Shen Zhe cheekily referred to Wang Hao as Wu Bai's "love rival" and offered to find out if Ai Qing still had feelings for him, but Wu Bai ignored him and boarded the bus. Meanwhile, Ai Qing had already arranged with her colleague Nana to attend the competition herself, wanting the recently married Nana to have time with her husband. However, their manager, Mr. Lin, unaware of this, tried to assign the trip to Nana.
When Ai Qing corrected him, the manager awkwardly backpedaled, profusely insisting that Ai Qing, as the "Goddess," was essential for the event. Ai Qing boarded the bus and walked past the empty seats near both Wu Bai and Wang Hao. A sudden lurch of the bus caused her to lose her balance, and both men sprang up to help. She stumbled backward into Wu Bai's arms, as a concerned Wang Hao asked if she was okay.
Assuring them she was fine, she moved to an empty seat further back. Later that night, with most passengers asleep, Wu Bai moved to the back of the bus. Finding Ai Qing asleep by the window, he sat beside her and gently rested her head on his shoulder. When she stirred, he pretended to have just woken up.
She asked why he had moved, and he explained it gave him a better view of his teammates, an answer she found considerate. As the Lunar New Year approached, they discussed giving red envelopes to the K&K members, agreeing on five hundred yuan each. Their conversation was cut short when the bus braked suddenly, waking everyone. It was a minor incident involving a car ahead.
The team then noticed Wu Bai was missing, with one joking he might have been thrown out, only for another to retort that he was too tall for that. Shen Zhe called out, and Wu Bai revealed he and Ai Qing were in the back, explaining they were discussing red envelopes, which sent the team into a state of excited anticipation.
In the first match of the Suzhou competition, Shen Zhe, representing K&K with Trashcan, employed a high-risk strategy, maxing out the throttle at the start. The commentator praised his vastly improved two-hand coordination, noting that single-handedly operating a full-body spinner was a rare feat. Seizing an opportunity when his opponent's robot was knocked off balance by a trap, Shen Zhe delivered a decisive blow for a KO victory.
Afterward, as 97 praised his skill, Shen Zhe proudly declared, "I'm born to be a champion." The phrase struck Ai Qing as deeply familiar, reminding her of a similar boast from one of her own teammates years ago.
