Early one morning, Ai Qing's father, concerned about the men staying overnight at his daughter's house, arrived with breakfast. He called over Wu Bai, who had slept on the couch, to eat. When asked, Wu Bai formally introduced himself, explaining he was born in Guangzhou, lived in Norway, majored in computer science, and had just graduated with a master's degree, planning to settle in China. Amused, Ai Jing told her father it wasn't a blind date.
Ai Qing’s father, upon learning Wu Bai had never dated, expressed his approval and taught him the proper way to eat pan-fried pork buns, which Wu Bai attentively followed. After breakfast, Wu Bai, 97, and Shen Zhe departed, with Wu Bai reminding Ai Jing to give Ai Qing honey water when she woke up. As Ai Jing turned to go back inside, Shen Zhe gently pulled her back and asked if she had feelings for him.
She admitted to having "just a little," to which Shen Zhe replied that was better than nothing. Later, Ai Qing woke up with no memory of the previous night, surprised to learn from Ai Jing that Wu Bai had cared for her all night and even carried her upstairs. At the office, colleagues enthusiastically greeted her as "Goddess," but an embarrassed Ai Qing insisted she was just a "past-her-prime player."
Mr. Lin approached her with a custom-made milk tea that cost 52. 1 yuan, a subtle hint of affection, and asked her to put in a good word for him with their boss, Mr. Xiang. Uncomfortable with his ingratiating manner, Ai Qing gave the drink to her colleague, Nana.
At home, Ai Jing expressed admiration for Ai Qing's dedication to coaching children, reminiscing about the lack of support during their own competitive youth and hoping some of her students might become future scientists. Meanwhile, Wu Bai met with Luo Hui and her classmate, Feiyan. He gave Luo Hui a robot figure, similar to a life-sized one at his K&K club, which delighted her.
Luo Hui mentioned she was in a teen robot training camp and would be going camping that weekend. When she showed Wu Bai the location on a map, he noted it was very close to his club. Luo Hui excitedly said she would ask her instructor for permission to visit, and Wu Bai agreed. Soon after, Shen Zhe arrived at the K&K club. At the entrance, he encountered a robotic usher that was retrieving a milk tea delivery.
The robot announced Shen Zhe's arrival and called for Wu Bai, who let him in. The robot, named Wu Liao, led him to 97. 97 explained the name was a pun on Wu Bai's name and the word for "boring." Shen Zhe joked the name might affect Wu Bai's love life, but the robot stated only its "daddy" could change its name.
After a friendly welcome, where Wu Bai humorously claimed he was broke after being scammed, he announced their leader, Su Cheng, was there to finalize Shen Zhe's contract. Su Cheng expressed her excitement, noting Shen Zhe's addition would make K&K much stronger. She pulled Wu Bai aside to discuss salary, and he proposed giving half of his own salary to Shen Zhe, insisting the new club needed to save money and that she must keep it a secret.
Su Cheng was surprised but, as he was the captain, agreed. When Shen Zhe saw the generous salary in his contract, he correctly guessed Wu Bai's sacrifice. He then instructed Su Cheng to set the extra money aside as a backup fund for K&K, admitting that while the money wasn't his to take, he enjoyed the thought of getting a "small benefit" from Wu Bai. Afterward, Wu Bai gathered the team, announcing K&K was now fully assembled.
He declared that as a brand-new team starting from scratch, he hoped they would work together to win a world championship for China, earning enthusiastic applause. The next day, Ai Qing took the children from her training camp on their camping trip. As their bus drove by, Wu Bai and his team were running alongside the road, but an engrossed Ai Qing didn't notice them.
Upon arrival, the bus driver called to inform her the vehicle had broken down and their pickup was delayed until the next morning. With the children getting hungry, Ai Qing went to find food. Meanwhile, Luo Hui's phone was dead, so she went to borrow Ai Qing's to call Wu Bai for help. At K&K, Wu Bai and Shen Zhe were engaged in an intense robot battle.
Shen Zhe was impressed with his new mech, realizing K&K had custom-built it for him after studying all his previous matches and even his "arrogant attitude." Wu Bai confidently stated he knew Shen Zhe would join. When asked to name the machine, Shen Zhe dubbed it "Trashcan," explaining he would use it to "classify all the trash" on the battlefield.
As Wu Bai's phone rang, he saw it was Ai Qing's number and answered, only to find Luo Hui on the other end asking him to bring food to their campsite. Back at the camp, Ai Qing had only found some old potatoes to roast. Nearby, Luo Hui and her classmates, charmed by a cage of poultry, opened the door. The chickens, ducks, and geese immediately scattered, causing the children to panic and scream for help.
Ai Qing rushed over, ushered the children to safety, and then desperately tried to herd the frantic birds back into their enclosure, getting covered in feathers and dirt in the process. Just as she sat on the ground, disheveled and helpless, Wu Bai arrived and saw her, a mix of amusement and concern on his face.
