As Gu Haitang and Fan Zhen struggled to find help producing lipstick, Lang Yuexuan returned with spices from Langlichun, informing them that Lang Sinian had agreed to prioritize lipstick production in the workshop and asking Gu Haitang and Fan Zhen to assist. Gu Haitang was put in charge of the production process. Meanwhile, Gu Xiahe noticed Han Ruibin (referred to as Mr. Han), lingering suspiciously at his doorstep.
Han Ruibin claimed he wanted to repay his teacher's kindness and requested Gu Haitang's mother to apply makeup to his deceased teacher. Chuchu then informed Lang Yueming about the dangers of synthetic oils. That night, Lang Yueming went to the warehouse and tampered with the plant-based oils.
Later, Lang Yuexuan sought out Lang Yueming at night to request raw materials for the following day. Lang Yueming uncharacteristically reconciled with Lang Yuexuan, promising full support and stating he would not make things difficult for him. Lang Yuexuan, believing he had misunderstood his brother, eagerly informed Gu Haitang of the good news.
