Blossom in Heart Episode 24 Recap
> Blossom in Heart Recap
Gu Haitang returns home with her divorce papers, much to the delight of her brother, Gu Xiahe. However, mindful of her mother's illness, Gu Haitang only tells her mother she is back to live at home, making vague excuses to avoid further questions, after which her mother busies herself preparing dinner. Lang Lichun's business has fully recovered and is flourishing, attracting endless customers, ever since Gu Haitang publicly cured Lang Yueming's facial scar.
Lang Yuexuan and Uncle Quan are pleased to witness its success. Shi Jizhou, on the other hand, is furious that his extensive plans have not only failed but have inadvertently boosted Lang Lichun's reputation. Unwilling to accept defeat, he rejects Xin Qiao's suggestion to exploit the love triangle between Gu Haitang, Long Mohua, and Lang Yuexuan, fearing Xin Qiao's exposure. Instead, he instructs Xin Qiao to bide her time, gain the Lang family's trust, and investigate Gu Haitang's background.
Shi Jizhou, consumed by anger, unleashes his frustrations on Shi Diwen when the latter returns home, leaving Shi Diwen bewildered. Earlier, Shi Diwen had a brief encounter with Xin Qiao, finding her somewhat familiar. Feeling bored, Gu Haitang wanders to the glass house under Broken Cliff (also referred to as Haitang Garden), where she unexpectedly meets Lang Yuexuan. A spark ignites between them.
Lang Yuexuan encourages her not to abandon her dreams and invites her back to work at Lang Lichun. After careful consideration, Gu Haitang decides to return. Upon her arrival at the workshop, Master Shang promotes Xin Qiao to team leader. Lang Yuexuan then tasks Gu Haitang and the other female workers with developing the Lang family's exclusive "Wild Goose Rouge." Despite Lang Yuexuan's frequent attempts to help her, Gu Haitang maintains a certain distance from him.
Lang Yueming, having prepared a new outfit, visits Long Mohua to seek her advice, revealing his intention to compete with Lang Yuexuan in pursuing Gu Haitang. Long Mohua, seeing this as an opportunity for herself, readily agrees to help. She assists him in choosing a suitable outfit and orchestrates a meeting between Lang Yueming and Gu Haitang at a Western restaurant.
During their date, Lang Yueming, being unfamiliar with the outside world, clumsily struggles with his steak, prompting Gu Haitang to help him cut it. Afterward, Lang Yueming, bearing lavish gifts, accompanies Gu Haitang home to visit her mother, whom Gu Haitang introduces to him simply as a friend. Admiring Gu's mother's tailoring skills, Lang Yueming requests that she make him a suit.
As Gu's mother prepares to take measurements, Lang Yuexuan unexpectedly emerges from an inner room, leading Gu's mother to mistakenly believe he is Gu Haitang's husband. Gu Haitang, seeing Lang Yuexuan, forcefully escorts him out of the house. Meanwhile, Feng Chunyan (Lang's wife) and Miaolan wait for the Lang men to return for dinner. Miaolan maliciously insinuates that both Lang brothers are out pursuing Gu Haitang. Feng Chunyan then orders Uncle Quan to call Lang Yuexuan back.
After dinner, Gu Haitang walks Lang Yueming out, during which he seizes the opportunity to confess his feelings. Lang Yuexuan, who has been waiting nearby, witnesses this. While listening to Lang Yueming, Gu Haitang's gaze drifts towards Lang Yuexuan, and she gets something in her eye. Lang Yueming checks her eye. Observing their seemingly intimate moment, Lang Yuexuan departs in anger and jealousy. After Gu Haitang sees Lang Yueming off, she returns to find Lang Yuexuan has vanished.
The next morning, Gu Haitang learns from Uncle Quan that Lang Yuexuan did not return home overnight. Anxious, she rushes to Broken Cliff (or Haitang Garden), where she discovers Lang Yuexuan. She reproaches him for leaving without a word, but he explains he was there to refine the Wild Goose Rouge formula by burning charcoal. Lang Yuexuan then takes the opportunity to confess his love to Gu Haitang.
Gu Haitang does not respond, and as she prepares to leave, he calls out his love to her from afar, but she does not look back and quickly departs. Long Mohua continues to provide Lang Yueming with ideas. Lang Yueming is inspired to propose to Gu Haitang during the upcoming Rouge Peach Blossom Festival. He proactively volunteers to Lang Sinian (Lang's boss) to supervise the festival's flower floats.
Pleased with his initiative, Lang Sinian assigns him the task, advising him to consult Uncle Quan. Lang Yueming decides to personally design the float, specifically incorporating "Haitang Red" into its design, and intends to choose the Peach Blossom Fairy himself. He learns from Uncle Quan that the fairy hasn't been chosen yet and immediately has someone in mind. Gu's mother works tirelessly, day and night, making costumes for the festival.
Meanwhile, Gu Xiahe is observed making a windmill for Lang Qingqing, with Gu Haitang noticing his budding affection for Lang Qingqing. Long Mohua visits Gu Haitang, presenting her with a box of "Wishing Flowery" eggs, explaining that it is a festival custom to write wishes on them and place them in the river to ensure their fulfillment.
Gu Haitang carefully writes her wishes on the egg, drawing pictures, hoping to find her father soon and to sever her ties with both Lang Yuexuan and Lang Yueming. Lang Yueming invites Gu Haitang to be the Peach Blossom Fairy, but Gu Haitang declines, citing that she is not a local of Kunyang and strongly recommends Long Mohua instead. Concurrently, Feng Chunyan (Lang's wife) is making prayer lanterns for the festival.
When Miaolan attempts to touch them with colored paper, Feng Chunyan reprimands her, calling her unlucky and forbidding her from touching any festival items, which deeply resents Miaolan. Feng Chunyan also recommends Long Mohua for the Peach Blossom Fairy role. Recalling Gu Haitang's suggestion, Lang Yueming is inclined to agree and ultimately chooses Long Mohua.
