Gu Xun saw the photo of fireworks that Little Twist posted in the group chat and realized they were in the same place. He started looking around and saw Yue Qianling, but he wasn’t sure if she was Little Twist. Camel also saw the photo in the group and knew they were at the same location, so he told Gu Xun to quickly send a voice message to Little Twist. Gu Xun said he was just about to.

Yue Qianling had been looking for Gu Xun the whole time, but she just couldn’t find him. Both Gu Xun and Yue Qianling were looking for each other, but neither of them found the other. Yue Qianling and Yin Xue were soaking in a bath and drinking red wine together. Yue Qianling saw a post by the campus heartthrob and figured half the city of Jiangcheng might be there.

Yue Qianling asked Yin Xue what it meant if an online friend sent “Happy New Year” on New Year’s Eve. Yin Xue asked if they had met in person, and Yue Qianling said no. Yin Xue told her that it just meant what it said. The lion dance exam began. The teacher said Yue Qianling wasn’t dressed appropriately in a skirt with her hair down and couldn’t take the test like that.

Yue Qianling asked if she could retake the test if she failed this time. The teacher told her that if she failed again, it would go on her record, which could affect her future. When Yue Qianling heard that it might delay her graduation and be recorded, she panicked. She thought to herself that even if she ruined her image today, she had to pass. She told Gu Xun that she had a suggestion.

Gu Xun told her he wouldn’t be lifting her. Yue Qianling asked if he wanted to delay graduation and said that would affect his career. Gu Xun asked what her suggestion was. Yue Qianling said they should switch roles. During the exam, Yue Qianling kept spinning in circles. Gu Xun kept shouting at her, asking what she was doing. Yue Qianling fell out of the lion costume’s body, and Gu Xun quickly called out to her.

She realized and hurriedly crawled over and rubbed against Gu Xun’s leg. The onlooking students were all watching them, speculating whether Yue Qianling and Gu Xun were a couple. After the exam, the results were announced. Yue Qianling and Gu Xun both scored 60 points — just enough to pass. Yin Xue saw Yue Qianling looking unhappy and asked her why she was upset even though she passed.

Yue Qianling said that, in Gu Xun’s eyes, she was just an idiot. Yin Xue suggested they go eat and turn sadness into appetite. In the group chat, Camel asked what good food there was in Jiangcheng. Little Twist replied that cilantro beef noodles were delicious. Jiang Junnan asked Gu Xun if he wanted to go eat later. Gu Xun said he wanted cilantro. Jiang Junnan asked wasn’t he someone who didn’t like cilantro — why eat it today?

He suspected Gu Xun might be seriously ill, but then thought maybe it had something to do with Little Twist. Yue Qianling and Yin Xue also came to the restaurant to eat beef noodles. Jiang Junnan said that Yue Qianling definitely had feelings for Gu Xun. He noticed Yue Qianling had already glanced at Gu Xun several times. Gu Xun just replied with a grunt and said nothing. Gu Xun got ready to leave.

Yin Xue saw this and told Yue Qianling to hurry and ask for his WeChat. Yue Qianling wasn’t planning to go, but then Yin Xue spotted a student ID card on the ground. She picked it up and saw the surname “Gu,” thinking it belonged to Gu Xun. Yin Xue told Yue Qianling to hurry and return it to Gu Xun and ask for his WeChat while she was at it.

Yue Qianling caught up with Gu Xun and told him she found his student card and wanted to add him on WeChat. But to her surprise, the card actually belonged to someone named Gu Xiaopeng, and she embarrassed herself in front of Gu Xun again. Yue Qianling changed the style of her artwork to a traditional Chinese aesthetic. But the art director felt the sudden change might not be appropriate and rejected her. She was a little upset.

In the group chat, Yue Qianling said she was bored. The campus heartthrob told her to go hang out with friends. Yue Qianling replied that all her friends were busy and no one could accompany her. Jiang Junnan realized that Chen Xinyi had social anxiety and comforted her with care. In the elevator, Wei Han ran into Yue Qianling. He thought highly of her abilities and asked if she was interested in joining their Ninth Division. Yue Qianling said of course she was. Wei Han then told her the interview requirements.
