Song Xiuhua vehemently denied the accusation, and Jin Zhiming intervened, taking a distraught Xu Huijie away. Zhang Yuxin, having kept her marriage to Lu Sichen a secret, was terrified but reluctantly agreed, unable to decline their kind offer. Coincidentally, Li Yunkai's family was dining at the same restaurant for his farewell dinner before his move to Xiping. Surprised to find guests, he watched as Zhang Yuxin, wanting to conceal his true identity, introduced him as her senior brother. Although taken aback by her lie, Lu Sichen played along, placed the cake down, and left. Once settled at Golden Thread Embroidery, Zhang Yuxin, enchanted by the surroundings, had no desire to return to her rented apartment. Driven by greed, she openly expressed her desire to be Xu Huijie's daughter and inherit everything at Golden Thread Embroidery.
However, Xu Huijie, whose heart was still solely devoted to Jin Yibei, rejected Zhang Yuxin's plea. Despite Lu Sichen's requests, Zhang Yuxin stubbornly refused to return to their shared home, determined to remain at Golden Thread Embroidery. Xu Huijie was deeply affected by Zhang Yuxin's words. She ultimately decided to purchase it, paying for it using Xu Xiaoqin's card but telling Zhang Mother that it was a gift from Zhang Yuxin as an apology. Zhang Mother was overjoyed, her heart filled with only positive thoughts of Zhang Yuxin, completely unaware of Zhang Guoguo's sacrifices or Zhang Yuxin's true, self-serving nature. Feeling guilty about losing Song Xiuhua's qipao, Zhang Guoguo made sure Zhang Mother was settled before going to apologize to Song Xiuhua in person.
She also told Song Xiuhua about the embroidery competition being held by Times Group in Huzhen. Zhang Guoguo, in her simplicity, believed Song Xiuhua's talent was too great for their small town of Xiping and urged her to enter the competition to win a grand prize and establish her own studio.
