Lin Tuo came to the hospital for a follow-up check-up. The doctor reminded him not to be anxious, as emotions have a significant impact on the condition. Ever since Lin Tuo proposed breaking up, An Zhique has been unable to eat or drink, feeling gloomy every day. He Xindi saw it all. Jiang Chucheng came to the cafe and learned about Lin Tuo and An Zhique's breakup from He Xindi. --- Lin Tuo didn't go to work for several days.

He sent a message to Wei Haiyang explaining the situation. The elevator was broken and under repair, so Lin Tuo took the stairs. Suddenly, his legs gave out and he rolled down the stairs. He struggled to call Chen Guangpu, who took him to the hospital. It was only then that he learned Lin Tuo had been diagnosed with ALS several months prior. Chen Guangpu consulted with the attending doctor and learned that ALS is an incurable disease.

He complained that Lin Tuo shouldn't have hidden it from him and also prepared a wheelchair for Lin Tuo. Xu Lilian brought lots of food to see Lin Ye. Lin Ye was already asleep. She sat by the bed for a while and then left. Grandpa felt Lin Tuo was unhappy the last time he came back and wanted to take Lin Ye to see Lin Tuo. Lin Ye sent a message to notify Lin Tuo.

Lin Tuo lied, claiming he was going to Guangzhou for a two-week business trip. Grandpa felt something was wrong and called An Zhique. An Zhique hid the fact that she and Lin Tuo had broken up, lying that Lin Tuo would come to the shop to help whenever he was free. Grandpa couldn't understand why Lin Tuo was lying.

Chen Guangpu found that Lin Tuo couldn't even open a bottle cap, so he quietly opened the cap of each bottle of water before putting it back in the refrigerator. Then he searched online for the worst outcome of ALS. He was heartbroken. After settling Lin Tuo, Chen Guangpu went alone to drink his sorrows away and ended up completely drunk. Chen Guangpu came home drunk and cried in front of He Xindi, muttering about opening bottle caps.

He Xindi thought he was acting crazy because of the alcohol and tried hard to comfort him. Chen Guangpu got up early to drive Lin Tuo to work and wanted to take him out for a change of scenery on the weekend. Lin Tuo felt a warmth in his heart. Chen Guangpu went home to discuss opening a hospital with his parents. His parents were confused; they had always done small food wholesale, and their business was booming.

Chen Guangpu asked them to help find the best traditional Chinese medicine doctor, but they were unable to help. Chen Guangpu asked his parents to lend him twenty thousand yuan and even shouted at them. His father, in a fit of anger, chased him away. Jiang Chucheng sought out Lin Tuo for a talk, unable to understand why he wanted to break up with An Zhique. Lin Tuo couldn't tell him the truth, only making up random excuses.

Jiang Chucheng couldn't help but complain about him. He saw that Jiang Chucheng also liked An Zhique.
