Yongan Dream Episode 22 Recap
> Yongan Dream Recap
Shen Ran took a stab for Zhou Shu'an. After repelling Pang Hu's men, Zhou Shu'an immediately sent her back to Hundred Fragrance Pavilion. Fu Man, who was skilled in some medical arts, had been treating her by the bed. She found that the area around the wound was bruised, suggesting the blade was poisoned. They currently had no idea what kind of poison it was and would need to put in some effort to cure her.
All along, Zhou Shu'an had felt deep affection for Shen Ran, but he never expected she would be willing to take a stab for him. Seeing his beloved lying unconscious on the bed, Zhou Shu'an was filled with guilt, regretting that he hadn't protected her properly at the time. Lu Shiyan was also injured. While lying on the bed, he dreamt of Shen Zhen.
It was as if their bond from a previous life remained unfinished, and they finally met again, making him cherish it even more. Seeing that the Crown Prince was about to go to the Altar of Heaven for prayer, Lu Shiyan and Zhou Shu'an immediately began preparing security arrangements. Master Ge performed his ritual in public. Everyone respectfully kowtowed and prayed for blessings.
Just as the start of the prayer ceremony was announced, suddenly a flock of crows flew in over the palace, all swooping towards the Crown Prince and the altar. Seeing the sky full of crows, everyone exclaimed it was an ominous sign and whispered about the Crown Prince presiding over the ceremony. The Crown Prince was bewildered. Lu Shiyan and Zhou Shu'an exchanged glances. They immediately scanned their surroundings and spotted many suspicious individuals.
After the prayer ceremony, Xu Yiqing went to the scene and discovered there was something wrong with the incense burned during the prayer. In reality, there was no magic involved; Master Ge must have been putting on an act. At that time, Master Ge also mentioned a birth date and time, claiming that a woman with such a birthdate would obstruct the Crown Prince's luck.
When Lu Shiyan heard the birth date and time mentioned by Master Ge, he was secretly shocked, realizing it was Shen Zhen's birth date. He immediately sent subordinates to deliver a message to Hundred Fragrance Pavilion. Indeed, shortly after, some people gathered at the entrance of Hundred Fragrance Pavilion. They whispered among themselves, calling Shen Zhen an ominous woman. Having received the message Lu Shiyan sent earlier, Shen Zhen was prepared. She was not afraid.
Qing Xi suggested closing the shop and taking temporary shelter, but Shen Zhen was resolute, saying that the more this happened, the less they should back down, otherwise everyone would think what Master Ge said was true. Xu Yiqing followed the direction the crows flew from to look for clues. She came to the back mountain and saw many cages inside a cave. Inside the cave, incense identical to that used during the prayer ceremony was being burned.
To verify her guess, Xu Yiqing lit some incense at the cave entrance. Soon after, flocks of crows flew towards the incense, some directly crashing into the cliff face and dying with bleeding beaks. Seeing such a tragic sight, Xu Yiqing finally understood why so many crows appeared during the prayer ceremony that day. Every day, large numbers of people surrounded Hundred Fragrance Pavilion. Although Shen Zhen responded cleverly, those people were clearly troublemakers.
Just as the crowd was incessantly harassing Shen Zhen, Lu Shiyan stepped forward, casually picked up a thick club, and drove the troublemakers away. The truth hadn't been uncovered yet, but Lu Shiyan had revealed himself. To be safe, Shen Zhen urged him to leave quickly and gave him the sachet she carried with her, asking him to leave a mark at crucial moments. Pang Hu's men kidnapped Lu Shiyan. The situation was critical.
Lu Shiyan was put into a sack, his limbs tied up. He quietly opened the sachet and made marks along the way. On Zhou Shu'an's side, he had already inferred that the instigator was the Empress. Although the Sixth Prince appeared simple and innocent, the Empress coveted the position of Crown Prince and was eager to get rid of this eyesore as soon as possible to help her son ascend to power.
