During physical education class at Elite Academy, Mr. Lan organized a two-legged race, assigning partners. Xu Konglin and Xia Er displayed excellent teamwork, quickly taking the lead, while Li Nike and Li Bai, clashing due to their mutual dislike, lagged behind. During a break, Li Nike subtly took Xia Er's phone. Li Bai, noticing Li Nike’s suspicious actions, intercepted her just as she was attempting to browse Xia Er's social media.
Later, as Xia Er and Xu Konglin sat together, Xu Konglin suggested that Li Nike harbored no ill will towards Chu Yinyin. Xia Er disagreed. Xu Konglin then speculated that Chu Yinyin might still be angry with him, and recounted a past agreement he had with her. Previously, a highly competitive Chu Yinyin, unwilling to be outdone, made Xu Konglin promise never to win against her; if she took first place, he had to take second.
Xu Konglin agreed to this unreasonable request and immediately wrote a guarantee. This pact was tested during a social practice assignment when Xu Konglin deliberately submitted a poor paper, aiming for an F to honor their agreement. Unexpectedly, he still received an A, while Chu Yinyin got an A-. This outcome deeply upset Chu Yinyin, who accused him of betrayal and refused to believe his explanations.
Xia Er, upon hearing the story, remarked on Chu Yinyin's seemingly "unreasonable" and "fragile" reactions to academic setbacks. Based on this story, Xu Konglin believed the answer to the first security question, "Consequence of betrayal," was "forever lose the other party." Xia Er entered this, and it was correct. The second question prompted for "Mother's blood type." Xia Er, knowing her own blood type was O and assuming Chu Yinyin's was the same, tried "O," but it was incorrect.
Xu Konglin pointed out that if "Chu Yinyin" (referring to Xia Er, who he thought was Chu Yinyin) was O, then Chu Ming Zhu could not be AB. Xia Er then tried "A" and "B," both yielding incorrect results. To their surprise, when she entered "AB," it was correct. This revelation deeply unsettled Xia Er, making her suspect there was something amiss. Agitated, Xia Er pressed Xu Konglin about the third question, leading to a heated argument between them.
The Elite Academy's sports meet was approaching. Mr. Lan, the physical education teacher, sought Ms. Lu's help to encourage her elite class students, particularly academically focused ones like Chu Yinyin, to participate. Entrusted with this task, Ms. Lu motivated her class, but student enthusiasm was low. Li Nike had registered "Chu Yinyin" for an extraordinary number of events: the 3000-meter run, 400-meter hurdles, 100-meter sprint, long jump, and high jump. Xia Er heard the commotion and walked to the blackboard.
Seeing all this, she realized Li Nike was deliberately pranking her, but Xia Er was fearless and agreed to participate in all events. Everyone was ready for a good show. Concurrently, at Southern Vocational Technical School, the sports meet was also approaching.
