> Well-Intended Love S2 Recap
Ling Yizhou escorted Xia Lin, beautifully dressed, to a special location where she spotted Pidan, adorned in formal attire and quietly resting. Amused, Xia Lin questioned if she was part of some ceremony, to which Ling Yizhou affirmed that the ceremony was indeed for her.
He took her hand, explaining that this was where he had proposed to her, promising to watch sunsets and stars with her, to grow old together, and simply asking for her permission to officially enter her world. He reminded her that she had agreed. However, Xia Lin felt a pang of panic, withdrawing her hand and apologizing, confessing she truly could not recall the event.
Ling Yizhou reassured her that it was fine, as they had another significant place to visit. They changed into matching red fan jerseys and made their way to a football stadium grandstand. Ling Yizhou asked if she had any memory of the place. Xia Lin shook her head, prompting him to recount their past visit.
He explained that one day, he and Wen Li saw photos of Xia Lin and Jia Fei with a fitness coach at the gym, which made them incredibly jealous. To counteract this, they brought Xia Lin and Jia Fei to the stadium to witness "muscular hunks." Despite wearing red to support the red team, Xia Lin and Jia Fei enthusiastically cheered for the blue team when they scored, much to the dismay of other fans, leading to a brawl.
As Ling Yizhou animatedly re-enacted the fight on the stands, fragments of memory flooded Xia Lin's mind, and tears streamed down her face. She rushed forward to stop the breathless Ling Yizhou, urging him to cease the re-enactment. He asked if she remembered anything, and she confirmed she had recalled a little. When he pressed her about where they went next, Xia Lin looked confused. Ling Yizhou then revealed they had gone to the Ministry of Civil Affairs.
Ling Yizhou stood up, ready to take her to the Ministry of Civil Affairs to re-enact that scene for her. Xia Lin, however, stopped him, asserting that she trusted him. She expressed her gratitude to him for not giving up on her or the love they once shared. She acknowledged that if their marriage was his "plot," she was willing to let it succeed once more. Overjoyed, Ling Yizhou embraced her tightly, tears of happiness welling in his eyes.
Soon after, Xia Lin and Ling Yizhou began planning their wedding. During their preparations, Xia Lin excitedly told Ling Yizhou that he was going to be a father. Ling Yizhou was overwhelmingly surprised and thrilled. Xia Lin thanked him for his patience and respect during the period she had lost her memory, revealing that she had fallen in love with him again even before her memories returned. Ling Yizhou playfully declared that they were simply destined to be together.
She expressed concern about fitting into her custom-made Alexander Wang wedding dress if they waited too long, suggesting they might need to accelerate the wedding plans. Ling Yizhou emphatically agreed that the wedding could not be delayed. Meanwhile, Wen Li sent a message to Jia Fei, informing her that he was leaving and to take care of herself. Jia Fei immediately tried to call him, but his phone was switched off.
Concerned, she called Xia Lin, who then asked Ling Yizhou about Wen Li's whereabouts. Ling Yizhou told them Wen Li had resigned and gone to Iceland. Jia Fei was stunned by the news and quickly booked a flight and packed her belongings, vowing to track him down. She was unaware that Wen Li had gone to Iceland with the intention of giving her a unique gift.
Chu Yan approached Ling Yizhou and Xia Lin, offering them a wedding gift: his company, Bojue Photography, would cover their entire wedding travel photography. He explained that they specialized in such services, allowing them to choose any location for their photos, ensuring a comprehensive service with quick turnaround. His team then set about capturing beautiful wedding photographs for the couple.
Xia Lin emphasized her desire for their wedding photos to be meaningful, reflecting their true selves, and particularly wanted to wear her custom-made Alexander Wang wedding dress. The couple's wedding ceremony was held on a romantic, open lawn. Jia Fei and Wen Li, having returned from Iceland, were among the guests. As the beautiful Xia Lin gracefully walked towards him, Ling Yizhou's face was radiant with a joyful smile.
Despite the strong winds on their special day, both Xia Lin and Ling Yizhou declared their unwavering decision to marry, come rain, snow, or even hail. They exchanged heartfelt and tender wedding vows. As the moment arrived to exchange rings, Ling Yizhou fumbled in his pocket only to realize the rings were missing. He subtly signaled to Wen Li, who also seemed at a loss. It was Chu Yan who calmly called out for Pidan.
To everyone's delight, Pidan trotted over, a small basket containing the rings hanging from his neck, eliciting adorable gasps from the guests. Ling Yizhou took the ring from the basket and placed it on Xia Lin's finger, and she, in turn, placed a ring on his. They shared a sweet gaze, and the guests erupted in applause. Ling Yizhou then lifted Xia Lin's veil and kissed her passionately, prompting joyful cheers from the crowd.
During the bouquet toss, Xia Lin, with her back to the guests, threw the bouquet over her shoulder. It was perfectly caught by Wen Li. Xia Lin then playfully asked Wen Li when he planned to marry Jia Fei. Wen Li, holding the bouquet, walked over to Jia Fei, knelt on one knee, and offered her the flowers. Jia Fei accepted the bouquet, then leaned down and kissed Wen Li, as everyone applauded their happy moment.
Later, as Ruan Meng was taking photos with her phone, Chu Yan approached her. She affectionately inquired if he had too much to drink and suggested they leave. Chu Yan clarified he hadn't been drinking and then directly asked if her previous claim of androphobia was a lie. He further pressed her, noting that she hadn't reacted when other men touched her before. Ruan Meng vehemently denied it, swearing it was true.
She explained that since she started interacting with him, her fear of men had gradually lessened, and she now felt capable of normal interaction with others. She stressed that Chu Yan would always be the most special person to her. Chu Yan, acknowledging her sentiment, then leaned in and kissed her.
Five years later, Xia Lin triumphantly won the Best Actress award for her lead role in the suspense film "Butterfly," where she impeccably portrayed a woman grappling with future anxieties, marital disappointments, and the struggles of parenting. In her acceptance speech, she thanked the "most special person" in her life, Ling Yizhou, for pulling her out of her darkest and most uncertain times, offering her freedom, and making her his brightest star.
Ling Yizhou, who also received the Best Cinematography award, humbly stated that he believed he was the one who had been saved, asserting that they had mutually saved each other. Xia Lin, Ling Yizhou, and their adorable son, Nainai, lived a blissful life. One evening, Xia Lin dreamed of many beautiful moments from her past with Ling Yizhou.
Upon waking, she told him their meeting and falling in love was a matter of destiny, ensuring they would find each other and love in any world. They expressed their hope that all love stories in the world would blossom and come to fruition. A playful moment unfolded as Nainai tried to sleep with his parents, leading to a lighthearted chase as Ling Yizhou tried to convince him to sleep alone.
In a separate playful interview, Ling Yizhou confidently claimed to be the most important person in Xia Lin's heart, but Xia Lin jokingly corrected him, stating he ranked third, after Nainai and Pidan. When asked about Xia Lin's kiss scenes, Ling Yizhou claimed to be open-minded and respectful of her choices, prompting Xia Lin to tease him about a previous instance where he had prevented her from taking a role involving a kiss scene. The couple concluded by expressing their gratitude to their fans and their belief that everyone can find their own perfect love story.
