Zhao Changming explained that he and Luo Mama were "life-and-death companions" who got together in Luo Yan's second year of boarding school and helped him through many difficult times. Luo Yan interrupted him, asking why he didn't divorce Qu Wan. Zhao Changming stammered, stating that the situation was complicated.
Angered, Luo Yan deleted Luo Mama's WeChat in front of Zhao Changming and instructed him to inform her mother that she was officially breaking ties with her. At Chen Zhuo's company press conference, Liang Shuang left before it began, returning the clothes, shoes, and bag Chen Zhuo had bought for her. Chen Zhuo angrily smashed things in response. Back at the dorm, an anxious Duan Jiabao, relieved to see Liang Shuang, tearfully embraced her.

That night, Jiang Xiaoguo secretly topped up Zhou Xun's phone with twenty yuan, informing him of this, which touched him, though he only advised her to work hard. Duan Jiabao also added Liang Shuang to their "Red Chamber Three Sons" group and sent them red packets. Meanwhile, Jiang Xiaoguo learned from her colleagues that the project "the battle" (Wang Zhizhan) had been upgraded, its data far surpassed "Junlin Zhanji," and it was renamed "King's World" (Wang Tianxia).
Initially happy, thinking this meant Zhou Xun could return to the company, she was disheartened when Wendy informed her that Wang Zhongye had already established connections with "King's World" and could continue investing even if "Junlin Zhanji" failed. Soon after, Wang Zhongye announced to Amanda that "King's World" representatives had arrived and asked her to greet them with him. However, she was then accused of fabricating follower data, resulting in her account being blocked. Despite initially stating that she was no longer a beauty blogger and didn't need to respond to such accusations, Liang Shuang received a call from European Children's Wear (or a children's wear company), which, after seeing her video, expressed interest in her and the little boy for an advertisement.
While still wanting to pursue a fashion blogger career, Liang Shuang hesitated but decided to pivot and become a "family fashion blogger." Duan Jiabao was skeptical, pointing out that Liang Shuang didn't have a brother, but Liang Shuang clarified it was merely an "image" (renshen). Duan Jiabao reached out to old client Cindy, gifting her many presents, and Cindy, understanding the hint, offered to introduce a promotion opportunity to Liang Shuang. Duan Jiabao also prepared Liang Shuang's "retirement statement" but Liang Shuang stopped her, revealing her desire to become a family blogger. Jiang Xiaoguo submitted an investment project to Zhou Xun for an app called "Sporter" (Jianke), designed specifically for athletes.
Zhou Xun dismissed her initial presentation as "daydreaming" and instructed her to conduct interviews with real athletes. Jiang Xiaoguo thought of Duan Zhenyu, who had a team competition the next day, and planned to ask him for help in finding athletes to fill out her survey questionnaires. Noticing Duan Zhenyu sneezing, Jiang Xiaoguo worried he might catch a cold and jeopardize his competition. She gently touched his face and forehead, which made him blush.
Learning he hadn't taken any medicine, she secretly added cold medicine to his porridge and gave it to him to drink. Due to printing the questionnaires, Jiang Xiaoguo missed Duan Zhenyu's competition. Luo Yan informed her that Duan Zhenyu had lost three consecutive matches and was in poor spirits, making Jiang Xiaoguo anxious. She rushed to find him to offer comfort.
Duan Zhenyu, however, explained that despite his individual losses (by nine points), his team had still won a gold medal in the group event. Jiang Xiaoguo, taking credit, proudly declared that he wouldn't have been able to compete if she hadn't secretly given him the cold medicine. Hearing this, Duan Zhenyu's expression changed, as he mistakenly feared he had taken performance-enhancing substances.
He told Jiang Xiaoguo to find athletes for her survey herself and rushed to the lounge to find Mojie, worried about a drug test. Just then, his coach arrived, confirming that their team's drug tests had come back clean. Confused, Duan Zhenyu asked Jiang Xiaoguo what medicine she had actually given him. Jiang Xiaoguo explained that she had anticipated the issue and specifically bought medicine that did not contain stimulants or sedatives, which deeply touched Duan Zhenyu.
He was also very happy to see the questionnaire Jiang Xiaoguo had filled out for him. Luo Yan, busy with her job search, was initially cold towards Lu Ran, hanging up on him when he called to ask about a drama she liked, unaware that he had confessed his feelings to her through bullet comments in that show.
Concerned, Lu Ran brought snacks and fruit for Luo Yan and her roommates, entrusting Duan Jiabao to deliver them and inquire about Luo Yan's job prospects, which he suspected weren't going well. During their dinner, Lu Ran provided Luo Yan with numerous job application materials he had prepared, deeply touching her. After a failed interview, Luo Yan felt frustrated and asked her roommates for job recommendations. Duan Jiabao suggested a company called Joy Team Building, whose requirements seemed a perfect fit for Luo Yan. Lu Ran continued to support her by preparing many additional materials for her Joy Team Building interview.
After several days, Luo Yan finally received a call, learning she had passed the interview, which made her extremely happy. Remembering Lu Ran's earlier mention of the anime/drama, she opened her computer, found his bullet comment confession, and felt shy yet delighted. When Lu Ran messaged her asking about her interview results, Luo Yan promptly asked him out on a date, agreeing to see a movie.
